Whisker Squadron: Survivor does a barrel roll with Star Fox and survivor-likes smashed together - out now

After a while in Early Access, Whisker Squadron: Survivor has launched that attempts to blend together the on-rails shooting from Star Fox with a few elements of the bullet heaven survivor-likes popularised by Vampire Survivors.

  • Voiced character dialog!
  • Lots of new story content.
  • New endgame featuring a new level and boss fight.
  • Added controller rumble support when you take damage.


[h3]CHANGES/IMPROVEMENTS:[/h3]
  • Tight Boost Weapon Booster upgrades now increase damage amount with each level, instead of reducing required Tight Boosts.
  • Mission finished dialogs have more variety.
  • Defeating bosses triggers new dialogs for each character and boss type.
  • Tight Boost Damage Charger is extended if an additional Tight Boost happens while it's active.

  • Roll magnet works more reliably now, especially in Act 3.
  • Charaters no longer react as if Swarm are hitting them when they collide with the environment.
  • Fixed bug where characters would say dialog lines referring to cursed choices, even when they aren't active.
  • Fixed weapon sounds playing forever if you were charging a weapon at the end of a level.
  • Fixed critical hit chance on Tight Boost Damage Charger.
  • Fixed some issues with character unlocking.
  • Fixed some issues with steam deck audio and headphones.
  • Fixed issue with roll magnet not working at times.
  • Added tooltips for mod icons on game over screen.
  • Fix for end game sequence not playing in some cases.

  • victory hangar dialogs not playing properly.
  • Fix for ? node rewards not applying to some weapons and missile drones.
  • Disable "reroll" button for a moment when upgrades screen pops up to make it harder to select accidentally.
  • Fix for "boost" controller trigger image not showing properly in tutorial.
  • Various UI fixes and improvements.
  • Fixes for VO/text mismatches.
  • Fix for lockup when pausing in the map screen.
  • Fixed bug where boss music continued into map screen.
  • Fix for endgame in final boss fight triggering improperly when one of the two bosses is destroyed.

Whisker Squadron: Survivor leaves Early Access on Feb 21!

Hey everyone, we're thrilled to announce that Whisker Squadron: Survivor will leave Early Access with a HUGE update on February 21st! We also announced today that the game is coming to Playstation 5.

We appreciate you all coming along for this journey for the last year and a half. Over the course of early access, we've added an entire campaign mode, more than a dozen new items, a branching map, shop NPCs, A "challenges" system, and more than a dozen new enemies. We've also refined and optimized the gameplay in countless ways with your feedback. Thank you!

This 1.0 update will include a voiced cast of characters, numerous bug fixes and quality of life improvements, and a new endgame featuring one final epic boss fight.
