PhaigeX: Hyperspace Survivors News

5/13/2023 PATCH NOTES

Greetings, PhaigeX employees!

We are back for some quick announcements about more improvements following the recent Controller Support Major Update.
Workspace Improvements
•
[Fortress]: [Fortress Shell] Level 1 is now the Missile Pod, and Level 3 the Point-Defense Autocannon, [Full Burst] Now immune to EMP slow
The ship designers went back to the blueprints of the fortress and applied some simple solutions to some problems with its usage. Swapping the Point-Defense Autocannons and the Missile Pod resolves the issue of fighting against ships early game. The missile pod's rate of fire is also increased to account for this modification.
 •
Polishing the Tutorial Flow
Our skilled Instructors went through the tutorial documents and reorganized the information to be simplified and easier-to-understand. We hope the instructions guide the employees better this time for better performance.
 •
User Interface: Conversion to Percentages for Stat Numbers
Everyone in this company loves their great results and big number outputs, so the policy about stat numbers has now been revised to be displayed as percentages. What's better than a 100% score? Beyond 100% of course! We want bigger numbers!
 •
Support Shop: Optimized Reroll Skip Animation
To improve upgrade times as requested by a fast-paced employee, the [Skip Animation] function of the support shop now has been made more noticeable, and the function even more effective. High-rarity animation effects will be bypassed as well, just to get straight to the point without any distractions.
 •
Adjusted EXP Gain
Changes has been made for level grinding so that gaining levels is faster, and at the same time, it will take longer to feel the slowdown of leveling on the later minutes of the mission.
 •
New Background Music for [Fleet Assault] Game Mode
We provided a new working music for the newly added game mode. The adjustments to the new music should inspire and motivate our employees to work even harder despite the harsh odds.
Resolved Issues
•
[Stealthy] Achievement Versus [Fortress] Armor
This skill assessment demands the ability of the pilot to not get the ship damaged. The armor of the Fortress is technically part of the ship, so getting hit on the armor should be grounds for disqualification for this assessment.
 •
Mirage [Afterimage] not Disappearing when Off-Screen
Adjustments were made to make sure afterimages that are way out of range will now self-destruct.

Once again, the Management is grateful for your continued feedback and support in shaping this company better, one step at a time. Let's keep up the good work!

Towards a brighter future,

The PhaigeX MegaCorp.

PhaigeX now has Full Controller Support!

Greetings to all the employees of PhaigeX.

Due to insistent public demand, we are pleased to announce that the game now offers full Controller support!
Full Controller Support
PhaigeX requires that the gamepad has twin analog sticks to play properly. The two important ship functions, movement and aiming, are assigned to those analog sticks and cannot be changed.
Remapping Controls
In addition to the new input device, control schemes can now be remapped, whether you are using keyboard+mouse or a gamepad. These can be found in the Options Menu. Remapping is mostly limited to in-game functions. Menus and the like uses set buttons to navigate, and will be labeled besides key UI elements as guides.
Aiming Modes
With new control schemes comes new ways to aim! This is an open experiment to our employees in a pursuit of the best handling experience for the company equipment. Both aiming modes are available in Mouse and Gamepad devices.
 •
Cursor Reticle
This is the default aim mode for the mouse. The gamepad implementation is using the Right Stick to move the cursor around, which does the aiming. This is good for maintaining accurate aim at one spot.
 •
Sight Line
This is the default aim mode for the gamepad. Point the Right Stick to the intended direction, and the ship will rotate facing that direction. This is good for quick responses and flexibility.

To collect usage data from the new implementations, the PhaigeX demo is now updated as well to include these control additions! Feel free to customize your work experience, and give us some feedback about the controls, as these can still be improved further with future updates.

Towards a brighter future,

The PhaigeX MegaCorp.

PhaigeX Development Roadmap

To all the employees of PhaigeX, thanks to your hard work and support, we have finally reached the Early Access phase. We are now announcing the target plans for moving the development forward towards its eventual completion:

At this point in time, the management would like to focus on three things, the Gamepad Support, Power Up Pack, and the completion of the Fleet Assault game mode.
Gamepad Support and Control Settings
A lot of inquiries and requests from employees and potential workers alike have been referring to this feature, to expand the freedom of control to operate the company's equipment. As such, this has been given priority by Management, and assigned to be implemented as soon as possible. Expect the next Major Update to include this feature.
Power Up Pack
The R&D Department has been compiling some interesting weapon and passive upgrade concepts, and has started working on their development. Since they have already started on these, it was estimated to be finished sooner than expected, so it make sense to implement these immediately. They still need to test their products for combat effectiveness and utility though.
Fleet Assault Game Mode Completion
Even though the current Fleet Assault game mode is playable, this is still in a Beta Test state. After the gamepad support update, the Development staff will go back and improve on this concept, adding more variety and mechanics to spice up this game mode. Look forward to Fleet Assault's improvements in the near future.

Please continue to work with us, and let us witness together how much bigger PhaigeX can go.

Towards a brighter future,

The PhaigeX MegaCorp.

4/29/2023 PATCH NOTES

Greetings to all the employees of PhaigeX, this is a quick announcement of some of the workplace improvements and issues we had to immediately resolve, else the repercussions could become game-breaking.
Workspace Improvements
•
Damage Mitigation for Player Ships using Base Stats
After receiving complaints from multiple employees about getting blasted by dense drone swarms, the mechanics have installed a device on all company-standard ships. Getting hit once will trigger the ship to have a "damage buffer", which prevents consecutive ship damage due to multiple damage sources, allowing the ship to live longer. This buffer will only be active on very short time windows to prevent overloading. This feature will not be available for customized ships, so choose your equipment wisely.
 •
Increased the Standard Rotation Speed for All Player Ships
Our mechanics also had the time to standardize and improve the rotation speed for all ships. Aiming your weapons at the opposition will now be more efficient.
 •
Incursion Reduction Mechanics Adjusted after the Escape Portal Appears
It was observed recently at the enemy side that once the Escape Portal appears, their programming would shift focus on increasing the Incursion Rate without interruption. Destroying Elite enemies would then have a lessened reduction effect during the Escape Phase, until a point is reached that the reduction will not work anymore. Whether you decide to fight or take flight with this newfound behavior, it is your choice.
Resolved Issues
•
Support Shop Hard-Capped Ship Stats Issue
It was reported that the Support Shop has been setting a limit to how high a ship stat can be increased. This has been classified as an urgent issue, and was immediately addressed and resolved. In addition, the visibility of the Low HP warning has been improved further.
Ongoing Plans
•
Game Controller Support and Customizable Control Settings
Rest assured that this is a current work in progress, and this will be unveiled in a major update once the implementation is completed.
 •
Fleet Assault Game Mode Completion
Even though it is playable, the current Fleet Assault game mode is still in a Beta Test state. After the gamepad support update, we will go back and improve on this concept, adding more variety and mechanics to spice up this game mode.

Our hardworking staff in the Development Department are continuously listening to your input and dealing with the issues as soon as possible, so keep those workplace reviews coming!

Towards a brighter future,

The PhaigeX MegaCorp.

4/26/2023 PATCH NOTES

Good day to all the AI-stomping, hardworking employees of PhaigeX.

Please be informed that effective immediately, the management will deliver news and updates in this manner. We will discuss topics regarding workspace improvements, resolved issues, and ongoing plans that we have and to be implemented thanks to your feedback.
Workspace Improvements
•
Background Music Update
We reworked the standard-issue working music for the interim PhaigeX employees. They are now provided with appropriate adjustments to their working music to stimulate focus and improve reflexes.
 •
Size and Length Reduction of Enemy Drone Trails
We have observed changes in the AI drone propulsion systems, seems like they do not leave trails as long as their earlier sightings. Is the rogue AI learning to conserve energy or something? Fuel prices are soaring high these days, after all.
Resolved Issues
•
[FORTRESS] Armor Visual Issue
A video report from a test pilot observed a peculiar behavior regarding the [FORTRESS] armor turning red while getting damaged. The unit was sent to Maintenance for integrity checks.
 •
Support Shop System Issue With Fully Upgraded Equipment
The same video report also showed an issue about a fully-upgraded equipment still showing up at the upgrades purchasing window. We had the Upgrades Managing Division give us an explanation for this mistake, and take responsibility for this error.
Ongoing Plans
•
Game Controller Support and Customizable Control Settings
Our folks at the Development Department are working hard to provide a more flexible way of interacting with your beloved equipment. Please look forward to its implementation.
