Hello. This update is mostly geared towards balancing the endless map runs. The weekly comps have been fun to oversee and I may keep the prizes going for longer still.

In other news I have bundled the game with Versebound. It's a similar game from Finnish student developers that is set in the world of Kalevala and just released. Be sure to check it out!

General
  • Weekly competition has a new "early bird" total score multiplier bonus (1.1x on Monday reducing by 0.02x each day with Friday being the last day for a bonus)
  • Endless map is automatically lost if too many elites roam the land at once (10+). There's a new counter on the event log for the amount of active elites
  • Challenge missions do not count towards the max concurrent mission amount on endless maps
  • Energy Shield gives additional 1s invincibility to the player on hit
  • Energy Shield cooldown increases by 2% after each use
  • Painkillers invincibility effect decreases by 2% after each use
Bugs
  • Elite challenge missions did not adhere to max concurrent mission amount. This resulted in other mission types not popping up if there were too many of these already

v. 1.0.5 - Hotfix

Hello. This update is to fix an annoying bug with a rune and altar.

Also, the previous week saw some heated competition in the weekly series. So much so that the validity of the scores came into question and rightfully so with a top run lasting over 2 hours. Before I award the prize, could the username "blank" please come forward and find me on Discord. I need to know how the score was achieved as there's likely some exploit that needs to be fixed on my end. Cheers

Bugs
  • You could die at the altar when having the rune "+50% primary weapon damage, but you take 3x the damage"
  • Mine would show a bogus timer underneath when inside

v. 1.0.4 - Hotfix

Hello. This small patch is mostly to fix a game freeze bug - a rare one but critical nonetheless. An additional scoring element has been added to endless mode as well.

General
  • When reaching the time limit on custom endless maps it will now say "victory" instead of "defeat"
  • Endless maps give score also based on character level. Multiplier is 150x per level
Bugs
  • Game freeze if placing a Vortex in a specific place outside the arena during boss battle

Hello. Here's some more post-launch bugfixes, a couple of balance tweaks and perhaps a useful new feature.

General
  • New Reroll+ feature on level up (1.5x cost to normal): Refresh with only character class compatible weapons
  • Jester will also be proficient with all the secondary weapon class type weapons and receive no penalties from them
  • Scare feature improved. This used to work more or less as a once-off global feature with sometimes unexpected results. Now weapons or abilities with scare are applied independently from each other and each should work at least once per enemy
  • Endless mode enemy kill multiplier changes as time goes by:
    • 0.25x before 10min (this used to be default for all kills)
    • 0.5x before 20min
    • 0.75x before 30min
    • 1x after 30min
Bugs
  • Some events and difficulty scaling did not trigger on all of the higher game speeds
  • Unmask scare ability was not working reliably
  • You could enter the mine in the middle of Dwarf's smash ability causing enemies to stop moving indefinitely

v. 1.0.2

Hello. This is mostly to fix the auto-aim which I accidentally broke on the previous update but with a few smaller things added for good measure.

General
  • Doubled the i-frames after being hit (is now 1/6th of a second)
  • Next Level Up -button will display how many are in queue
  • Magnet item will be excluded from loot pool if having infinite pull (from a rune)
  • Player status effects (e.g. Encumbered or Cursed) are explained when hovering over the character panel
  • Vortex time increased from 3 to 4s
