Devlog #5: Everwind Takes Shape Before Early Access

While we’re not quite ready to share a release date, we didn’t want to stay quiet while the world continues to grow. [/p][h2] A More Dynamic, Living World [/h2][p]
We’ve taken Everwind’s procedural generation to the next level. Islands are now more varied, layered, and rewarding to explore, with unique silhouettes, hidden paths, and distinct biomes.

Additionally; 2 new biomes were reworked:

  • [p]Jungles are dense and vertical, hiding ancient Grimverd ruins, towering trees, deep canyons, and deadly wildlife like Spinejaws.
    [/p]
  • [p]Rotten Islands tell a darker story; industrial decay, toxic zones, abandoned machinery, and deep steamer mines waiting to be uncovered.
    [/p]
[p][/p][h2]Water Islands & Ocean Exploration [/h2][p]The seas of Everwind are becoming just as exciting as the skies. Our generator now supports partially submerged islands, especially striking in desert biomes with oasis-like pockets of life.

  • [p] Shipwrecks
    [/p]
  • [p] Lighthouses
    [/p]
  • [p] Stories hidden beneath the waves

[p][/p][h2]Optional Third-Person Perspective [/h2][p]Everwind is first-person at heart, but we’re experimenting with an optional third-person mode. It’s still early and a bit rough; but your Early Access feedback will help shape whether it becomes a permanent feature.

[/p][h2]Combat, Enemies & Bosses [/h2][p]Danger is rising across the islands. New bosses like the Wraith Lord and a massive Golem are on the way, alongside new enemies including Spinejaws, Skitters, and Toads.
Combat improvements include:

  • [p] Smoother weapon animations
    [/p]
  • [p] Parrying for weapons and shields
    [/p]
  • [p] New weapons, armor sets, and rare unique gear
    [/p]

[/p][h2]NPC Villages & Trading [/h2][p]NPC villages are officially coming to Everwind! Traders, guards, and evolving NPC AI will bring more RPG depth to the world. Trading systems are already in place and will be fine-tuned with Early Access player feedback.

Wrapping Up 2025 in Everwind

Hello Explorers!

As 2025 comes to a close, we can’t help but look back and say : “wow, what a year it’s been!” When we kicked off 2025, we were just starting to peel back the curtain and show you what we’d been cooking up for Everwind. And since then, things have really taken flight.

Over the year, we introduced a whole bunch of core features, including:

  • Brand-new biomes to explore
  • Our combat mechanics
  • Flying ships
  • Items like the Magical Compass, Glider, Longview, and a variety of weapons
  • Magic, alchemy, and rune crafting
  • Plants, farming, and cozy green vibes
  • Markets and trading systems
  • And, of course, new enemies to keep you on your toes

But the journey didn’t stop there. In October, we hit a huge milestone with the release of our first demo. This gave us invaluable feedback on core gameplay, dungeon exploration, performance, and bug fixing; and your responses were absolutely amazing. Your support and enthusiasm have meant the world to us.

Now, we’re already looking ahead. 2026 is shaping up to be a big year for Everwind, and while we can’t spill all the secrets just yet (some surprises are worth the wait 😉),

We’re beyond excited for what’s coming next and can’t wait to keep shaping the world of Everwind together with you.

Everwind Levels Up: Now Powered by Intel XeSS 2.1 & Frame Generation

We’ve got some exciting news to share: Everwind is officially teaming up with Intel!

New cute (and very deadly) creatures.

Hey Explorers,
As development continues, we’re excited to share a first look at some of the new creatures you’ll encounter across the world of Everwind. Each monster brings its own flavor, mechanics, and surprises to the game’s diverse biomes.

[h2]Raptor[/h2]

Still early in development, the Raptor is set to prowl the dense jungles of Everwind. Beyond its habitat, little has been finalized - but expect a stealthy, canopy-stalking predator that will make every jungle expedition feel dangerous.



[h2]Crab[/h2]
Our crabs come in multiple variants, using barrels or stones as makeshift shells. They can hide inside these shells both in combat and during their everyday wandering.
In combat: They retreat into their shell to reduce incoming damage. Players will need the right tool to break the shell and force them back out.



In the world: While exploring dungeons or the surface, players may stumble upon crabs hidden still and silent - accidentally hitting one may provoke them into a sudden attack.

[h2]Toxic Toad[/h2]
Living deep within the swamp biomes, this bouncy menace leaps around and spits toxic globs in an arcing trajectory. Anyone hit by the sticky projectile becomes poisoned, turning even small encounters into risky battles. Don’t underestimate this slimy ambusher.



[h2]Ents[/h2]
Ents serve as major boss encounters in three distinct biomes:

  • Forest
  • Jungle
  • Magic Rotten


Each Ent stands guard near sacred shrines, protecting the ancient places of power from intruders. Expect a formidable challenge for any adventurer brave enough to disturb their vigil.
