Chronomon EA .8040 Price Reduction And Update

The time has come for the massive pre-1.0 release (just to double check compatibility and bugs). With this update comes quite a few changes.

Price Reduction:
Steam: $14.99usd -> $9.99usd
Mobile Android/Apple: $9.99usd -> Free to try and $4.99 unlock full game

The reason for the price drop is to stay competitive (but let's be honest, there are a ton of AMAZING games for $15) and I felt although Chronomon has a ton of content, that it was only fair for the price to reflect the experience. On another note, Chronomon has not done that well in terms of sales, the customer is always right and with the reduction i'm hoping more people will give it a try.

Current News:[/p][p]Multiplayer -I would like to be as transperant as possible. I have spent the last few months working on the live multi-player. It still needs more work but in reality, I'm not sure that adding it in anymore will be feasible (server-costs). As much as I want to keep going, Chronomon just isn't doing well enough to justify the costs that are going into it. HOWEVER, if the new update and 1.0 go well I will 100% continue it.

Status of Multiplayer: A ton of it is already done and working, realistically players could join granted I didn't allow player 2 to leave the farm. The issue is the world spawns, cutscenes and syncing the towns. Everything else is ready to go. Turns out multi-player is a massive amount of work. [/p][p][/p][h3]1.0 Release:[/h3][p]This will be the final pre-release before 1.0. I want to make absolutely certain that all bugs are tackled and most importantly, the controller feels natural. 1.0 Co-op Multiplayer

[h2]Upcoming 1.0 News Update!
[/h2][p][/p][p][/p][p]Multiplayer[/p][p]Originally I was going to wait until after 1.0 to see if it was well recieved... but have considered that it has to have Co-op online multiplayer! Without a doubt. [/p][p]Development for this is going to be rough and take a while but I wanted to keep everyone up to date from the last update put out. [/p][p]The current progress in supporting multiplayer is as follows; Players can join and leave. Join codes are given to the host. All farm data is transferred over and spawned in. Movement and object interaction works.

There are a few things that will need more time as they are significantly more complex. The monsters have such a deep AI that they are causing issues. Fret not, I will get it down perfectly. NPCs and cutscenes will also cause some headaches. [/p][p]
Build Areas[/p][p][/p][p]Along with the other features previously shown, the map will now be filled with areas that you can help restore! So far we will have about 15 areas where you must help clear it out and place objects to make it look nice. Upon completing an area, you are given rewards and new crafting recipes.

New Crafted Items[/p][p]About 50 new decorations items have been added. Most of them unlocked through the build areas. [/p][p][/p][p]Player Customization[/p][p]Over 10 new haircuts! We have also changed the players head from a football shape (don't ask) to a normal head. We have added a new beekeeper outfit as well to give more honey and protect from bees. [/p][p]

--- The Bad ---

- Xbox is postponed. There was an internal issue on their side so new devs can't get developer kits. It is impossible to release until that is fixed.

- The smartwatch port is very likely not going to happen at this point. Originally the game was not supposed to be this large. As of now there are far too many features and buttons needed for it to be even remotely easy to use or work right.

We have begun focusing on larger, feature rich content now that most of the issues have been ironed out. I wanted to take a moment and let you know what we have going on as we prepare for the 1.0 Full launch!

Xbox Release

We have officially been approved to release on our first console!

Controller and UI Changes[/p][p]Massive changes happened on the controller front in a ninja update. We have heard the communities concerns and made sweeping changes to QOL for the UI and ensuring a modern control scheme (Cough... A/B changes). The 1.0 update will come with more fixes and changes ensuring our Steam Deck and controller users are comfortable.

Modern UI Help Hints
To assist in know what you can do, a mini UI pop-up will appear with all possible actions. Know exactly when you can interact, know exactly what you can do as well.

Tutorial Improvements
One of the latest patches helps walk you through how the game functions without feeling to hand-holdy. For the new upcoming features, we will have a dedicated but optional side quests to ease you into the deeper mechanics on the farming side that are coming. [/p][p][/p]
Upcoming Features
[p][/p][p]Monsters[/p][p]5 new monsters incoming! 2 dedicated evolution lines and a new evolution for Lumibot themed around the season.[/p][p][/p][p]More Object Rotations[/p][p]A few have stated wishing for more decoration rotations. Any object that can reasonably be rotated, can now rotate for better farm customization. New decoration items, including a much needed light source have been added as well.[/p][p][/p][p]Farm Room System[/p][p]For those that have played Dragon Quest Builders, you know. Special areas can be created designating it a room by boxing it in with fencing or walls. From bedroom, to bathrooms or even a gym area, gain perks and give your monsters more meaning on the farm. [/p][p][/p][p]New Farming Questline[/p][p]To help guide you through the room system, Lumino will now assist in a dedicated side quest line to improve your farm[/p][p][/p]
What's Next?
[p][/p][p]As all gamers and developers know, a game can only keep updating if it's profitable (or the dev can keep the lights on). For transperancy, the EA launch and months since then have declined ːsteamsadː, not doing as well as hoped. I refuse to be that developer that leaves a game in a sad early access state however and wanted this 1.0 to address all concerns and give more features to you.[/p][p][/p][p]Fingers are crossed that the full launch, coupled with the Xbox port, large features and concerns fixed, that all will go well. If it does let's explore what could be added! [/p][p][/p][p]Online Multiplayer Co-op[/p][p]I have already tested the waters on this and it is ABSOLUTELY within my capabilities. During testing I was able to connect 2 devices, load in the players and have them move around. It's a rather large feature however, easily 2 months to make perfect. There are a ton of things to account for really. [/p][p][/p][p]Relationships[/p][p]A much requested feature and also totally possible. There are NPCs already set up in the 7 towns ready to fall in love with. We would add new schedules, new dialog and set them up on the farm with you[/p][p]
Map / Story Expansions[/p][p]It goes without saying that the story would become much larger! New regions, new towns, new NPCs and more quests to keep your story going... forever if possible. Goals right.
