Demo v0.3 now available

Version 0.3 of the demo is now live on Steam!
I’m hoping to be able to keep a weekly release schedule, especially at this early stage when I am getting so much feedback from you all and learning a lot about what people are finding fun about the game.

Card changes:
- Reworks +2 Card to be less powerful (and also less buggy)
New effect is: Put up to two cards from the top of your opponent's draw pile into play without activating their on play effect. On discard this card is discarded to your opponent's discard pile

- Reworks XXI The World
New effect is: Locks. When this card would have been discarded, add a random tarot card into your draw pile

- Changes IV The Emperor and V The Hierophant to not reduce your score down to bust limit
New effect is: If you bust this turn, (damage | heal) both players by the amount bust limit was exceeded by

Bug fixes:
- Fixes a bug where XVII The Star wasn’t burning
- Fixes a bug where dealing damage using the Trap Card would check for game over twice, meaning it could skip an encounter if it dealt the killing blow
- Fixes the Beer and a Shot option in the Have a Drink event not hurting the player by 10
- Fixes the Beer and a Shot and House Special options in the Have a Drink event not granting a Loyalty Card
- Fixes a bug where 0 The Fool or Reverse Card could make cards get stuck in play and not discard, forcing player and opponent to stand again
- Fixes a bug where II The High Priestess would crash the game if it was drawn when the player’s draw pile had less than 3 cards in it
- A whole lot of stability fixes, checks, and balances to make the game less likely to crash when card effects interacting with each other

Clarity improvements:
- Changes the description of VIII Justice to make it clearer that it shuffles the draw pile when adding a Jack of all Trades

Now live: Version 0.2 of the demo

The newest version of the demo is now live! This version is primarily focused on fixing bugs that were discovered since the demo went live.

Here's a list of the changes in version 0.2 of the demo:

New features and improvements:
- adds a new card mat background for the Basement
- fixes multiple places where quickly selecting a choice could skip encounters, add multiple reward cards to your deck, enact events multiple times, inadvertently make a choice while clearing dialogue, or just straight up crash the game!
- overhauls the Wheel of Fortune card
- speeds up the end of encounter 'collect cards' animation
- fixes The Moon not correctly shrouding opponent cards

Clarity improvements:
- improves the effect description of the Scratch Card
- fixes the effect descriptions for One of Spades, Clubs, Diamonds, and Hearts to match other suited "regular" cards
- fixes the help text not showing when choosing a card from The World
- fixes the help text being out of date for The High Priestess
- fixes the name of the game when running in Windows to have an '&' not an 'and'

I hope you enjoy this new, more stable version of the demo, and thanks again to everyone who helped to find these bugs, especially the members of the Discord!
