Interior Overhaul Update v.0.6.9

Welcome traveler,

and behold the new building interiors of Twin Falls Kingdom! This was supposed to be a minor graphical enhancement update with couple of minor fixes, but one thing lead to another and it grew to be something much more. Just about each building in Twin Falls (except dungeons, the castle and Curiosity Shop) has gone through some changes to improve the atmosphere and make the world feel more coherent whole. There are new ceiling and some floor textures, new decoration sprites for weapon and item shops and more that you can read from the patch notes below. I may even have forgotten to mention some changes.

I hope you will enjoy these changes!

Thanks for the support!

Chronicles of Vaeltaja: Wizard's Tower Update v.0.6.8.0.1

Here it finally is: The Wizard's Tower - a new dungeon with seven floors of new enemies to fight and puzzles to solve. This update also adds the Eye of an Oracle, which will introduce the new exploration mechanic, but there are some other new items and equipment too. There are also some changes, such as the new 'day/night cycle' system that should slightly improve performance, and some enhanced textures and animations. Mages, Conjurers and the Witch have new spells that can be bought from the Wizard's Tower once it is solved. And finally the Fast Travel system will be introduced properly in the Wizard's Tower.

I hope you enjoy!
Patch Notes:

Added:
• Wizard's Tower - the new main dungeon.
 • Eye of an Oracle - reveals what is hidden with magic.
 • New shop in the Wizard's Tower (opens after the tower is solved).
 • New enemies: Etova, Dark Sentinel, Grinner
 • New equipment: Warlock Armor set, Amulet of Light (protects against darkness).
 • New items added to Pramean Magic Shop: Bard's Brew (cures silence), Potion of Clarity (cures confusion), Eye Drops (cures blindness), Leaves of Dulma (cures paralyze) and Nectar of Light (cures darkness), also Greater Healing and Spirit Potions.
 • New spells: Blizzard and Typhoon for Warlock, Group Focus and Meditation for Wizard, Poison Cloud and Thorn Punishment for Witch, Summon Rock Lizard and Summon Ghost for Conjurer.
 • Fast Travel system.
Changes:
• Better regular zombie battle animations.
 • Halls of Onkalo roof is now fixed.
 • New day/night cycle system.
 • Pramean Magic Shop now sells Warlock's robes and other equipment instead of Archmage's gear, which can be bought in the Wizard's Tower now.
Fixes:
• Torch timer is now fixed, so it won't reset each time the same torch is lit again.
 • Instant Movement activation doesn't require button confirmation any more, but it still has to be activated each time save is loaded.

Chronicles of Vaeltaja's The Wizard's Tower Update Coming March 8th

Good day, traveler!

The next content update for Chronicles of Vaeltaja: In Search of the Great Wanderer is just around the corner and though there's still lot of work to do things are shaping up nicely. I'm still not 100% sure what the update will include, but here's some details about what's coming for sure.
A New Dungeon Wizard's Tower
Finally the postponed Wizard's Tower in Lake Road opens up for you to explore with seven floors of puzzles, enemies and secrets. In there you will experience the next part of the main story, face new challenges and find an item that will add a whole new mechanic to solve puzzles and find secrets. The tower is inhabited by new types of enemies with their own skills.
Eye of an Oracle
I promised a new mechanic to exploration and here it is: Eye of an Oracle. It is a new tool acquired from Wizard's Tower and it can be used just like lanterns. It emits orange light to surrounding and it will reveal things hidden with certain type of magic, but there are limitations as it will drain the main character's energy when used. Hidden puzzle elements, such as floor plates and levers, are not the only things it can reveal: there are some enemies that can't be seen in the game world without it. Future updates will bring more secrets to be discovered with the Eye of an Oracle.
New Enemies
There will be three new enemy types found in the Wizard's Tower, but there might be more coming to other places in the kingdom of Twin Falls.
Graphical Changes
Lake Road's buildings get new textures, Pramean Lighthouse gets proper ceiling textures and the Castle Town gets new statues.
New Day/Night Mechanic
Day/night cycle has gone through some changes, so there are some performance improvements coming also.
Other Improvements
There will be more adjustments to how certain enemy attacks and skills work with the combat row system.

So here is all that I can confirm for now, but there might be even more if things go smoothly. Whatever the case, further details will be given in the patch notes once the update is released.

Thank you and hope to see you in Twin Falls!

Best regards,
Jani/Witchgrove Games
