Major Update 0.2.0 is Live - Check Out What's New

[p]Hello Concubiners![/p][p][/p][p]In this update, we are adding 12 new languages to Concubine. Concubine is now available in Arabic, Chinese, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Turkish.[/p][p][/p][p]Please remember we are a small indie team with limited resources, our localizations were done by volunteers from our great community. We thank our volunteers who worked night and day to bring this update live, and we sincerely apologise for any possible mistakes in our translations. We will continue to improve our localized version with feedback from you.
[/p][p]Also in this update, you will find a Complete Player Tutorial. Destan and Favorite will now welcome our new players with a full tutorial. Follow the breadcrumbs in The Palace, and learn how to fight before you’re thrown to the wolves.
[/p][p]To celebrate New Year’s spirit with our players, we have added our second decoratable player base in this update. Winter Palace can be found to the northeast on your map, along with more than a hundred new year’s decorations and two new free costume sets, Alluring Santa & Spicy Elves. Carpenter also decided to ride her caravan to Winter Palace & open shop for your convenience. 
[/p][p]Merry Christmas & Happy New Year![/p][p][/p][p]Due to high demand, Lucieta has opened her shop. If you missed your chance to get your free Halloween and Thanksgiving gifts, they have now returned and are available in her collection. For a price, of course. [/p][p][/p][p]Our animations, themes, sound & video effects have been revisited and improved. The changes can be seen across every area, starting with The Palace. Please note that this is a work in progress and we will keep improving our animations, music, SFX & VFX as the game continues to grow.[/p][p][/p][p]As requested, we have updated our roadmap. Keep an eye out for some major features in the works, like our Combat System Rehaul, Spellcasting and Skill Tree. Winter Is Coming, And So Is Our First Major Update

[p]Hello everyone![/p][p]As the year comes to a close, our entire team is racing toward December 18th with one shared goal: Delivering an update that truly welcomes you into the world of Concubine.[/p][p]These past weeks have been intense. What started as a few targeted improvements has grown into our first Major Update. [/p][p]Let’s take you behind the scenes 👇[/p][p][/p][h2]🧭 A Brand New Tutorial: Destan & Art of Combat[/h2][p]First of all, this update comes with a complete tutorial overhaul. As you step into The Palace, Destan will guide you through the fundamentals of combat before you are thrown into a world of danger.[/p][p]You will now learn:[/p]

  • [p]Melee & Ranged Attacks[/p]
  • [p]Light & Heavy attacks[/p]
  • [p]Special Attacks[/p]
  • [p]Fury Attack[/p]
  • [p]How to use potions[/p]
  • [p]How to use Attribute Points[/p]
[p]Since the skill tree system is still under construction, Special Attacks are & Fury Attack temporarily unlocked during the tutorial as if you had already invested the required points. [/p][p]This allows you to experience the full combat fantasy right away, and prepares the ground for the skill tree, which we’ll be tackling in our next Combat & Skill System Update. [/p][p]Our goal is simple:
Smoother first experience.[/p][p][/p][h2]🌍 Localization[/h2][p]Localization has become our second major pillar for this update. By the 18th, Concubine will be playable in: English, Arabic, Chinese, French, Finnish, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Spanish, and Turkish.[/p][p]As we translated the Concubine into new languages, we realized many original expressions didn’t feel right in English. So we remembered. Writing is rewriting… and rewrote.[/p][p]What changed?[/p]
  • [p]Many item names were renamed & simplified[/p]
  • [p]NPC dialogues were rewritten[/p]
[p]Our dear native-speaking volunteers from Concubine community are helping us with a final pass.Translations will be integrated on Tuesday, tested in-game on Wednesday & Thursday, and will be fully unlocked on launch day.[/p][p][/p][h2]❄️ Winter Palace: Merry Christmas & Happy New Year![/h2][p]We previously announced the Winter Palace, our seasonal, decoratable base, and we’re happy to say it’s already being tested.[/p][p]What awaits you in the update:[/p]

A Holiday Surprise: Our First Major Update

[p]Hey everyone! ❄️✨[/p][p]What was meant to be a localization & tutorial update has turned into something far more ambitious.[/p][p]As we sifted through scripts, rewritten English content, tested UI flows, and chased untranslated fragments hiding deep in the game’s foundations, we realized this was not a usual update, it was a rebuild of how our game acts, speaks and welcomes its players.[/p][p]Meanwhile, something festive was approaching: New Year. [/p][p]Rather than spreading our updates over time separately, we made a decision:[/p][h3]🕯️ We are merging all into a single, beautiful holiday release[/h3][p]This is our winter gift to our players wrapped in polish, clarity, and celebration. Let’s take a closer look at what’s happening behind the scenes this week 👇[/p][p][/p][h2]❄️ Winter Decorations & Festive Preparations[/h2][p]While localization is reshaping the game’s foundations, our artists carved out a completely new player base: The Winter Palace. It is a seasonal, decoratable hub filled with warmth, lantern glows, and over a hundred festive decoration pieces waiting to be discovered by you.[/p][p]Nutcrackers, snowmen, sparkling ornaments, fresh carpets, sculpted meshes, all are ready for the big holiday release. Vendors are stocking behind the curtains and we hear there are two new sets of costumes.[/p][p]And a small reminder for our collectors: [/p][h3]🕊️ The Thanksgiving costume will be available for two more weeks.[/h3][p]Once Lucieta turns her attention to New Year attire, this festive gift will slip into her bottomless storage.   • [p]Building new pipelines and tools to automate future translations[/p]
  • [p]Reviewing entire areas to ensure consistency across languages[/p]
  • [p]Improving fonts, materials, and icons to support every locale cleanly[/p]
[p]This isn’t just a localization effort, it’s a foundational upgrade, preparing Concubine for years of new stories, characters, regions.[/p][p][/p][h2]🧭 Tutorial Redesigned & Refined[/h2][p]Localization brought us back to the earliest moments of our players’ journey. As a result, the tutorial received:[/p]
