FIXES, FIXES, FIXES!

[h2]🛠 Hey everyone![/h2][p]We’ve seen your feedback — and thank you for being honest with us.[/p][p]Some parts of the game didn’t land the way they should’ve, especially the feel of combat and balance.
But we’ve been working non-stop to fix it — and today we’re releasing a big update that tackles major bugs, improves gameplay flow, and sharpens the visuals across the board.[/p][hr][/hr][h2]✅ What We’ve Already Done[/h2]
  • [p]Black screen on launch (which happened in ~10% of runs) — finally fixed. That one was rough.[/p]
  • [p]Everything’s faster: +75% reload speed, +50% weapon swap speed, +200–300% faster ability casting.[/p]
  • [p]Rebalanced HP, melee damage and time-to-kill.[/p]
  • [p]Better combat feedback: hitsparks, hit-flash, clearer status effects.[/p]
  • [p]Ability shards can now be used while shooting with any weapon (!).[/p]
  • [p]Removed annoying noise on lower graphics settings.[/p]
  • [p]New graphics presets — faster and better-looking across the board.[/p]

New Companion, New Bosses, New Chaos

Hail, adventurers!
Grab a mug of mead and gather round the drakkar – the full release of Vilde smashes into Steam on June 12th.

Before we tell you more about the game itself – here’s everything we added since the demo launched three months ago.

[h2] What’s New Since the Demo[/h2]

  • 3 complete boss fights


    • Ent, the Forest Guardian – now reworked with smarter patterns.
    • Ymir, the Ice Colossus – boss on the Mountain Peak.
    • Forgeheart, the Power Core – multi-phase mechanical monstrosity.


  • Companion – Bjorn — a grumpy Viking who got turned into mead (long story). Now he haunts your bottle, gives unsolicited life advice, and complains in 12 languages.



  • 18 new enemy types – Trolls, Huldra, Fire Kobolds, Dragons, Golems and more. Every single one got fresh AI, custom VFX, and a full rebalance.

  • 12 new guns – from Sleipnir’s Shadow rocket-lance to Riftfrost beam cannon. Find ’em, upgrade ’em, break the DPS meter.




  • Outer-Temple & Mountain arenas – procedural layouts, verticality, lava parkour, chaos.



  • Loot System 2.0 – pick-one-of-three chests plus new arena objectives for bonus drops.



  • Talents 2.0 – multi-layered node trees, new visuals, full rebalance.



  • 112 new FX systems – muzzle flashes, spells, enemy abilites.



  • Achievements added


  • Relit levels – Misty Forest, Mountain Peak, and Fire Temple now 100 % clearer and prettier.

  • HUD & UX Refresh – clearer interface, better icons, indicating animations.

  • FPS boost – cleaned shaders, lighter textures, optimized collisions.

  • 12-language support – with a custom font (Huntress) for Cyrillic and Latin alphabets.

  • Full controller support

  • Economy overhaul – dismantle items, smarter upgrade costs, updated loot system.

Vilde - Next Fest Hotfix Update

Hey everyone,

Huge thanks to all of you playing Vilde during Next Fest and sharing your feedback. We’ve been keeping an eye on everything and pushing fixes as fast as possible. If you spot more issues, let us know—we’re listening and will keep improving the game.

What’s New & Fixed:

- Increased reload speed for all weapons
- Auto-reload for secondary weapons
- FOV slider
- Fixed a bug where changing FOV sometimes broke the camera – and yes, we added it, immediately broke it, and fixed it all in the same update.
- Mouse sensitivity slider – we were just as surprised as you that this wasn’t in the game already
- Axis inversion options – up can be up, or up can be down. We won’t judge
- Fixed treants freezing in place
- Pause menu now actually pauses
- Hold-to-interact now has an animation
- Gates no longer close while you're standing on them – they were a little too eager before
- Jump, dash, and reload now trigger on press, not release
- Fixed Arctic Huntress softlock when switching weapons during a secondary action
- Trickster Box no longer lets you cast spells while shooting
