Patch Notes 1.07
Patch Notes 1.07
• Fixed an issue where movement range could persist through taking an action and cause units to run in place in odd ways and potentially crash the game in certain circumstances. This was one of the more commonly experienced game breaking issues so if you ran into something similar there is a really strong chance it was this.
 • Changed the text of the kindling ring to better suit its effect
 • Fixed an issue with enemies not spawning with correct stats when the random enemies customization was live
 • Fixed an issue with the radiance ring applying blind to allies in AOE Restoration spells
 • Fixed an issue where class changing could override menu functionality and crash the game
 • Fixed an issue where over 100 xp could be gained, resulting in a lost levelup
 • Fixed a crash where poisoned units with mastery below 0 could cause ability scaling to break. Poison no longer reduces Mastery below 0.

Patch Notes 1.06
Patch Notes 1.06
• Fixed an issue that allowed you to take attacks and movement actions before the unit made it to their proper tile, leaving them out of place and glitched if animations were off or a movement option was used. This was causing a majority of unit desync issues and a variety of crashes on maps with 'jump' tiles.
 • Fixed an issue with pet commands not applying their effects with animations off
 • Fixed an issue where counter attacking with animations off was missing certain on-hit effects
 • Fixed an issue where movement grids weren't properly clearing when a frame was skipped, leading to units disappearing
 • Fixed an issue where stormrider casted offmap could crash the game

Thank you for great launch | Patch Notes 1.05

It's day 4 now of Dark Deity 2 being out, and I just want to take a second to say a huge thank you to everyone playing the game!

It’s been a blast hearing about the story choices you’re making, the unit builds you're experimenting with, and the team comps you're theorycrafting. Your feedback, bug reports, and support have been making a big impact. It’s also been so rewarding to see the game hit New & Trending on Steam and already pass 260 reviews. Thank you for helping make that happen!

I just pushed Patch 1.05 (my fifth patch in four days) as I’ve been hard at work to stay on top of your reports. I am doing my best to get through everything and you've all been immensely helpful already. I’m prioritizing the highest-impact bugs (like crashes and freezes) first, then I’ll be diving deeper into more general feedback. Please keep the reports coming; every message helps, and I’m doing what I can to make sure I read through every report and piece of feedback.

If you want to see the previous patch notes, you can find them by checking out The Steam News Hub for the Game here!

The 1.05 patch notes for this evening are as follows:

 • Fixed an issue on Steam Deck where the internal pointer could get stuck on the codex button and stop base menus from properly functioning
 • Fixed a crash with AOE abilities in certain map circumstances
 • Fixed a crash in certain later game prebattles when switching between menus
 • Added in a failsafe for possible freezing on critical hits on some systems, should solve any edge cases remaining
 • Fixed an issue where call the storm was leaving a 0.00 decimal reading into the level stats
 • Fixed an issue where the text for skipping cutscenes was not properly dropping down on some resolutions
 • Fixed an issue where you could crash the game by trying to sell an empty weapon slot
 • Fixed an issue where you could buy bugged weapons by buying an empty weapon slot

Once again, thank you all so much for the love and support. It truly means the world to me, and seeing the response so far has been amazing. If you’re enjoying your time with Dark Deity 2, please consider leaving a review on Steam. Early reviews are hugely helpful for indie games and it’s been awesome reading through your thoughts so far.

If you’ve got feedback or run into any issues, hop into the Discord or drop a post in the Steam Discussion Bug Report Thread. More updates are on the way!

Patch Notes 1.04
Patch Notes - Hotfix 1.04
-Fixed an issue where phantom units from the class tree could persist off the map, which led to a variety of different issues that seemed like they might be coming from something else (most notably, unit deaths with the unit not actually dying, some strange enemy targeting, and the controller unit cycling getting bugged out)
-Fixed an issue where battlesaves could lead to the post-level decision cutscene being skipped (going to have some more testing for this once build is live, could require another fix tomorrow to catch all possibilities)
-Fixed an issue where 'cleansing' upgrades didn't function correctly if taken as the second upgrade.
-Fixed an issue where some abilities 'cleansing' upgrade didn't function at all
-Fixed an issue where weapons in the shop could become unsellable past a certain point
-Fixed an issue where campaign customization could select multiple options at a time
