Changes regarding the Open Beta

Thank you to everyone participating in the Brazen Blaze Open Beta!

The first day of the Open Beta was a big success. We are delighted that many Runners have played the game. Your valuable feedback and play data will be shared with the development team immediately to improve the game's quality.

Now, let us explain the issues and measures that will be taken in response to the results of the first day. Currently, there are two playable game modes: 3v3 Stock Team Match and Survival. Due to fluctuations in player numbers and the dispersion caused by the two rules, the matchmaking system is not functioning adequately. The feature is intended to enable teams to form and compete against players of similar skill levels. However, there are many situations where the matchmaking time is long, matches do not start, and experienced players are frequently matched with beginners.
Therefore, starting today, we will limit the times for 3v3 Stock Team Match. The schedule is as follows:

3v3 Stock Team Match Rule Match Times
Every day (PDT):
6:00 - 8:00
18:00 - 21:00

*Survival is always available.
*The schedule may change depending on the play situation.

After this announcement, maintenance and application version updates will be carried out.

■Maintenance Schedule
April 27, 4:00 to 4:30 (PDT)

■Notice
1. Brazen Blaze will not be playable during the maintenance.
2. Maintenance time might vary depending on the progress.

(Updated April 27, 2024 4:30 PDT)
The Emergency Maintenance had ended.

Additionally, we appreciate your understanding that the above measures are temporary as we require time for implementation. We apologize for the inconvenience of temporarily being unable to play team matches. However, we ask for your cooperation to achieve normal matchmaking behavior.
We would appreciate various opinions regarding this adjustment.

We will continue to strive to provide you all with a better gaming experience.
We hope you continue to enjoy the Brazen Blaze Open Beta.

Presidential Bulletin #6
Intro
Greetings, Runners!

The long-awaited moment has arrived! The second Open Beta Test has finally commenced.
We're all about making Brazen Blaze a better game, and we love hearing what you think! Head over to our Discord server and share your thoughts with us. Everyone's opinions are welcome!

If you've already started playing, we want to give you a quick rundown of some updates that have been made since the last test. In this Bulletin, we'll go over adjustments to the battle balance, new rules, and some updated effects. We've also made a ton of other updates, and we've fine-tuned everything down to the smallest details to make sure players have an even better gameplay experience.
After reading this Bulletin, please test the evolution of the game's strategy and excitement by participating in the Open Beta Test!
New Rule
We've made some changes to the game rules since the first Open Beta Test so that more Runners can have a good time playing.

The previous rules were as follows.
Round Team Match
In the first Open Beta, we introduced a 3vs3 round team match with a tense game system that doesn't allow respawns. The objective of the game was to defeat all enemies to win the round. It was a simple and easy-to-understand rule, with a clear victory condition. We believe that many Runners enjoyed this game mode.

However, there were challenges such as:

- In a team of three, each member's performance has a significant impact on the group's success. The loss of one member would greatly affect the team's dynamic.
- If a player died shortly after the round started, their playtime was short.
- Passive play became more common, resulting in shorter engagement times.

So, for new players who just started playing the game, it was pretty easy to get confused with less playtime. Plus, they had to deal with facing real online players in battles, which made it even more challenging for them.

As a result, we decided to introduce new rules for this Open Beta.
Stock Team Match
It's a 3vs3 team battle rule, where you cooperate with your team members to fight.

- Each team shares a life pool.
- When a team member is defeated, one stock is consumed, and they respawn after a certain time.
- The victory condition is to reduce the opposing team's stock to zero and defeat all opposing players.

This rule has the following characteristics:

- Since respawning is possible, all players can ensure playtime.
- Due to the stock system, the impact of a single death is relatively minor.

It allows for an aggressive and proactive fighting style that wasn't possible in Round Team Matches, making it a rule that can be enjoyed more casually.
Survival
A battle with 4 players.

-Players possess 3 lives each, and being defeated 3 times results in elimination.
-The victory condition is to be the last one surviving.

This rule has the following characteristics:

-It's an individual battle, not a team battle.
-Since respawning is possible, all players can ensure playtime.
-With fewer participating players, the battle situation is easier to grasp.
-You can always choose your favorite Runner, making it easier to practice.
-Even if you lose, you can quickly move on to the next match, making it easy to play at a good tempo.

This rule allows for enjoyment as an individual battle. Moreover, not only does it require offensive actions, but also evading, making it easier for beginners who are not yet adept at attacking to become accustomed to movement by focusing on evasion, ultimately leading to an improvement in play skills.

With the introduction of new rules, we believe that beginners can start with Survival, and as they become more familiar with the game, they can enjoy strategic team battles in Stock Team Match. Please play a lot!
Battle Balance Adjustments
Since the open beta test in February, we've adjusted the parameters to ensure that everyone can enjoy playing with all the Runners more.

As you can see in this video, we've adjusted the slash speed parameters to make playing with VELVET even more enjoyable.
The other Runner parameters we adjusted are as follows:
-RIOT
RIOT is a character designed for ease of use. In this adjustment, we've focused on making them even easier to use by enhancing the firepower of the Battle SMG.
-LEGACY
In the previous Open Beta, LEGACY achieved the highest win rate. We adjusted the amount of gauge required to activate the Ultimate and its effect duration while maintaining balance among other Runners.
-SKYBOLT
In the last Open Beta, SKYBOLT was the most popular Runner. She had crazy high DPS (damage per second), so we nerfed the Hybrid Rifle's attack power. But, we also made some changes to make it easier to use the Ultimate.
-VELVET
VELVET wasn't very popular and didn't win many battles, but we think she has a lot of potential. We made some changes to help her do better - we boosted her health and made her photon blade stronger overall.
-SUNSHINE
Throwing bombs is already fun with this Runner, but to maximize the enjoyment of the bombs, we've increased their radius. This is especially effective on stages with many high grounds, like "New York City Day," where we expect more active performance.

You can check out how the new balance adjustments work by fighting with all the Runners and see how the parameter changed. These changes have made it possible to create more diverse strategies. Even Runners that didn't stick for you in the previous test might be a lot more fun now. So, go ahead and give them all a try!
Effect Updates
Since our first Open Beta, we have made several updates to the presentation aspects of Brazen Blaze. One of the most fun things about the game is the ability to destroy everything on the stage. To enhance the game's immersion even further, we have updated the destruction of cars on the stage to provide a more engaging experience. It even deals damage and blows away Runners now.

Also, this item, which is used for healing in the game, can now be destroyed by hitting it.

Additionally, we've made various updates to the stages in the game to enhance their realism and presence for your enjoyment. With these changes, Runners will be able to immerse themselves even more in the game's world.

Here, we've introduced updates related to the stage presentations, but there have also been many updates to sound, UI, and more. Be sure to play and see for yourself!
Conclusion
We've made some changes to Brazen Blaze, including adjusting the battle balance, adding new rules and updating the presentation. We reckon these changes will make the game even more fun for you.

We're still working on improving the game, and we appreciate your feedback. Please let us know what you think on Discord. We're excited to hear from you and make Brazen Blaze the best it can be.

We're also running some cool campaigns on Discord that we think you'll love. By joining in, you can get the latest info, connect with other players, and even earn some neat prizes. So, take a look and join in the fun!
■Game Rules
1) Stock Team Match
A 3vs3 team deathmatch where you cooperate with your fellow Runners to defeat the opposing team. Each team shares 8 lives; One stock is consumed each time a team member is defeated, after which they respawn after a certain period. Victory means reducing the opposing team's stock to zero and defeating all opposing players!

In Stock Team Match, players could enjoy the game in a team with 2 other players.
Players can play with their friends with any of the following options.

-Share the "Team Code" displayed with your friends.
-Press the "Join other team" button and enter the Team Code you received from your friend.
-Follow each other in the game to become "Friends" and select "Invite Friends."

2) Survival
A free-for-all deathmatch through a 1vs1vs1vs1
format. Four Runners fight against each other, with the goal of protecting
oneself from running out of lives and accumulating kills simultaneously.
Victory means being the last Runner standing!
■Runner Selection
After a team is formed, players will pick their Runner and Sub Weapon in turn.
Note that in Stock Team Match mode, players choose their Runner in order, and you cannot choose the same Runner with other team members.
When everyone has chosen their Runners and an opposing team is found, the match will start.
■Stun, Kill, and Finisher
By attacking your opponent and reducing their HP to 0, the opponent will enter a "Stun" state.

You can "Kill" an opponent in this stunned state by landing a punch on them.

When killing the last player of the opposing team, a Runner-specific “Finisher” will activate. Make sure to check out all the Finisher moves with all Runners.

If the killed player has stock left, the player will respawn after a certain duration.

But if their stock is 0, they will not respawn and have the option to continue watching the current game or return to lobby.

Additionally, as time passes from the start of the match, the stage will gradually collapse. Be careful not to fall off the stage, as it will be treated as an instant death.
