First of all, we appreciate your interest in our game and your valuable feedback. We continue to improve the game based on your suggestions!

[h3]New Features[/h3]
  • Indicators have been added to elite melee enemies. Their attack timing is now more predictable and clear.
  • Elite enemies no longer stay behind basic enemies. They now push through and attack directly.
  • New abilities have been added to the skill pool. (Detailed explanations will be included in upcoming devlogs.)
  • Descriptions have been added to character stats. Hover over them to see what each stat does.

[h3]Changes[/h3]
  • With the changes to elite enemies, the enemy wave scenario has been rebalanced.
  • Dialogues on the Leader Selection screen have been simplified and revised.
  • The loading screen background has been updated.
  • Rarity rates in the skill selection screen have been adjusted. Now, depending on your character’s stats, there’s a higher chance of accessing stronger abilities.

[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed an issue where Phosma’s area indicator was not scaling properly.
  • Resolved an issue where Violet Vortex wasn’t applying life steal correctly.
  • Fixed a bug where the skill selection screen would not appear after leveling up.
  • Corrected the attack speed issues for ranged enemies.
  • Fixed certain abilities breaking during boss fights.
  • Resolved a bug where active trigger skills could be recast unintentionally.
  • Addressed an issue with overlapping music tracks.
  • Fixed an issue where Gemstones were not providing stats after switching characters.
  • Major optimization improvements were made, resolving most FPS and ability-related performance issues.

Devlog - Episode 3

Hello!

Welcome to the third episode in the Ketz: Galactic Overlords Developer Log.

In this edition, we will share upcoming game systems, characters, and mechanics with you, providing more insight into the development process. We also aim to shape the game’s progression together with feedback from the community.

Today, we will introduce Kael, the master tracker and archer shaped by the wilds of Arden. Let’s dive into her story and combat mechanics.



[h3]Meet Kael – Master Hunter of Arden[/h3]
Kael hails from Arden, an untamed world filled with dense forests and fierce wildlife. Trained from childhood to survive and hunt in the most unforgiving terrain, she became a legendary tracker, moving with unmatched stealth and striking with deadly accuracy.

But Kael’s peaceful world changed when unnatural creatures began creeping into the edges of Arden’s woodlands. Her instincts warned her that something far greater was unfolding. As she tracked these intruders, she uncovered a grim truth—Ketzeror’s corruption had reached her homeworld.

With Arden’s future hanging in the balance, Kael set off alone, determined to trace the threat back to its source. Her journey eventually led her to The Sanctuary, where she encountered Rax. Impressed by her skills and unwavering resolve, Rax welcomed her as a part of The Sanctuary.


[h3]Kael’s Combat Style[/h3]

Kael wields a high-powered bow, relying on agility and precision to strike from afar. Her combat is defined by two core mechanics:

  • Piercing Arrows: Kael’s arrows pierce through enemies, continuing past the initial target and damaging others in their path.
  • Focused Volley: Every third attack, Kael fires two attack instead of one.

  • A new Mate ability has been added to the system introduced last week: Laser Sentinel. This drone orbits your character and fires at enemies, allowing for even stronger build combinations.
  • All Mates now have sound effects, making battles feel even more immersive.

[h3]Changes[/h3]
  • Enemy balancing has been updated. More elite enemies now await you.
  • EXP values have been adjusted, making leveling up more challenging.
  • Lyria’s attack animations have been updated, and her attack speed has been adjusted.

[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed an issue with the Level-Up Monument that caused it to grant more than the intended number of level-ups.
  • Fixed an issue where shielded and melee enemies were not dealing damage properly.
  • Resolved a bug where Mates would activate too far away from the character.
  • Updated the area damage values of Mates that deal AoE damage.
  • Fixed an issue with The Aether Stream monument where attack area upgrades were not applied correctly.
  • Resolved an issue where attack effects would disappear after upgrading abilities.

Hello!

Welcome to the second episode of the Ketz: Galactic Overlords developer log.

In this edition, we will share upcoming game systems, characters, and mechanics with you, providing more insight into the development process. We also aim to shape the game’s progression together with feedback from you all.
Today, we will introduce Dr. Rennor, the cyborg warrior who merges science and technology. Let's dive into his story and mechanics.


[h3]Who is Dr. Rennor?[/h3]
Dr. Rennor was an esteemed scientist and astronaut from Earth. Specializing in astrobiology and advanced robotics, he embarked on numerous missions to explore the depths of space, searching for signs of life and developing new technologies.

However, his fate took a drastic turn during an expedition to the planet Nyxaloria. While on his mission, his spacecraft was caught in a violent meteor storm, sustaining severe damage. All communication with Earth was lost, and the ship’s systems completely failed. Stranded in deep space, Dr. Rennor managed to survive for months on limited oxygen supplies before ultimately succumbing to the void of space.

[h3]Rebirth: Cyborg Dr. Rennor[/h3]
During one of their exploration missions, Rax and his team discovered the wreckage of Dr. Rennor’s spacecraft. Upon realizing that the body belonged to a scientist from Earth, they speculated that he might hold crucial information about Ketzeror’s plans.

With the help of Zenith Techlock’s advanced technology and the energy of Aether Streams, Dr. Rennor was revived as a cyborg. His new form granted him superhuman abilities, enhanced senses, and seamless integration with technological systems.

Initially, he struggled to accept his transformation. However, upon learning that Ketzeror’s army included creatures abducted from Earth, he resolved to fight back. Combining his scientific knowledge with his newly acquired strength, Dr. Rennor became a key player in the battle against Ketzeror’s forces.

[h3]Dr. Rennor’s Combat Abilities[/h3]

As a cyborg, Dr. Rennor was no longer just a scientist—he became a warrior. With the help of Zenith Techlock’s engineering, he now wields advanced arm attachments capable of launching powerful energy spheres at enemies.

Dr. Rennor's Basic Attack
His projectiles explode upon impact, creating a secondary energy orb that rises into the air before crashing down in a random location, dealing area damage.

His long-range combat style requires strategic positioning for maximum effectiveness.
