1.2 Patchnotes | New Features, Bug Fixes, Balancing

Hi all! o/

Thank you all so much for your support of my first little game and all the feedback you are sending me!

Here are the patchnotes:

[h2]General Stuff:[/h2]
  • NEW Refresh Button on Level Up Screen
    • It is now possible to refresh upgrades on level up three times. I might add rewards or drops to the maps which can increase this. Looking forward to your feedback
  • NEW The Loading Screen features useful tips now
  • Upgrade button now shows "Loading..." when clicked on it, to prevent the illusion of a lag
  • Menu buttons are reacting faster to input
  • Changed scary ghosts sound effect
  • Better wording for coffee rush, so it's clear what it does
  • Better contrast on witch duo's attacks
  • NEW Right-click on a level to open and close the challenge panel in addition to [hover over a level] + [TAB]
  • NEW Left-click to leave the challenge panel
  • Screen Shake added for weapons with ground impact
  • Gift Boxes now drop more stuff after getting P,L,I,N or S to unlock Bella


[h2]Balancing Changes:[/h2]
  • Level 1 Synergy weapons are now unlocked automatically if the required prerequisites are fullfilled.
  • Horde Mode negative slots appear more often, the longer the player survives. these thresholds have been pushed back by 60 seconds
  • Maple Syrup Tornados are slightly bigger now
  • Changed Bob's Synergy weapon with Bella's
  • The hidden exit now appears near the last cleared objective in Level 2


[h2]Bugfixes:[/h2]
  • Bob now correctly turns around when his special is active.
  • Elite enemy drops now correctly drop apart from each other and not on top


[h2]Known Issues:[/h2]
  • Playing a level and then quitting the game from the main menu afterwards may lead to a crash. Issue is related to saving the file. I'm working on a fix. FIXED

v1.1.9.1 Balancing and Bugfixes

Balancing:
- changed damage curve for most early weapons
- before the damage was quite low for the first 4 to 7 levels, depending on the weapon. now its more spread out, so early levels in a weapon are worthwhile. this should help with early progression and bad RNG
- increased coin rewards on stronger enemies (magic ghosts in particular)

General:
- fixed a soft lock issue, which could occure if a level up and player death are triggered at the same time


Horde Mode:
- fixed a bug where sound was overlapping

Map Screen:
- fixed a bug where Level 3 wasn’t showing, although it was unlocked

Boss Mode:
- changed Boss Rush image, to signal it’s available right from the start

Steam Achievements and Leaderboards should be working now.

Past achieved Achievements and highscores can be unlocked in the Settings menu

v1.1.8.2

level 2:
- proper lighting on candles
- introductory big slime monster, to show it's new mechanic on level start
- adjusted enemy spawns throughout the level
- lowered boss's eye HP by 50% on lowest difficulty

level 3:
- fixed apprentice witch attacks ignoring paused game state
- increased exp from small gift boxes
- fixed sound issues

general:
- increased exp and coin gains from harder enemies
- increased length of Snowflake's special attack from 10s to 20s

Pancake Patrol v1.1.8.1

just a small update fixing a progression bug past Level 2, caused by a SteamDeck check getting stuck.
This check only affects tutorial input images, so I removed it for now.
