Update 1.0.5

Bug fixes:
 • Fixed issues with navigation in Inventory and Settings when using a controller or keyboard;
 • Made another attempt to fix the bug when an item will be used infinitely after pressing several item buttons at the same time. Now, you shouldn't be able to use an item while pressing a button to use another item.;
 • Fixed an issue where the mech would sometimes fall through the ground while mining. There may still be something else that could cause this, but the chance of it happening again has been reduced.

Other changes:
 • Added separators to money amounts to make them easier to understand. For example, $1000000 will now be displayed as $1,000,000;
 • Added lamps to the "Special upgrades" button in the Mech Workshop menu. These lamps will be flickering upon entering Workshop menu when a new special upgrade is found, reducing the chance of forgetting about it until the end of the game :)

Regarding Steam Input support:
I am still working on it whenever I have time, but there were a lot of issues I had to deal with. Now, as I get fewer bug reports every day, I hope that I will be able to devote all my time to working on Steam Input. I believe that I need 1-2 days more to make a version ready for testing and 1 or 2 days for testing.

Hotfix 1.0.4a

Bug fixes:
 • Fixed an issue where the game would freeze after opening several menus simultaneously;
 • Fixed a bug where "flashlight" on level 4 sometimes stopped working on gamepads;
 • Added more checks for the dialogue-related achievements (especially "A minute of self-love") to decrease the chance of them not triggering at the right moment;
 • Elevator platforms and some other platforms are now correctly displayed on the altimeter when "Terrain depth monitor" is installed;
 • Fixed an issue where selected button wouldn't display for some time after opening menu when using controller;
 • Fixed a bug where the premonitions of secret frequencies would still appear even after finding the corresponding frequencies;
 • Added more safety checks to prevent the situations where an item is still being used after you stop holding the relevant button. However, as I couldn't reproduce the issue, this problem may still persist.

If you experience this issue, please send me the Player.log file. It contains console logs about your last play session, so I can see which parts of code are broken. Player.log is located in:

Windows: C:\Users{UserName}\AppData\LocalLow\Oldbut Gold\Ad Fundum\Player.log
Linux: ~/.config/unity3d/Oldbut Gold/Ad Fundum/Player.log
Mac OS: ~/Library/Logs/Oldbut Gold/Ad Fundum/Player.log

And thank you for your support!

Update 1.0.4
Bug fixes:
• Added more triggers for the achievements "Best friend of capitalism" and "Full collection" to avoid situations where you have fulfilled all the requirements for an achievement, but get it only after reloading the game.
 • Fixed an issue where elevator platforms could still be used on the "Overcoming" difficulty level;
 • Messages about spending money no longer get stuck on the screen;
 • Fixed an issue where the player could fall of the elevator when travelling on it.
Other changes:
• LEVEL 7 SPOILER WARNING: Reduced the range of charge stations to decrease the chances of being hit by something off-screen;
 • Added buttons for buying items x10 and x100 in the Shop (that was an extremely popular request) :)
Earthquake bugs:
Fixed another bug related to the eternal earthquakes. This should put an end to the type of bugged earthquakes where the player experiences endless screen shaking and is unable to visit buildings or save their game.

However, the type of earthquakes where the player would be unable to move might still be present.

If you experience any bugs related to the unending earthquakes or other bugs that appear to be an issue even after reloading the game, please send your save file to one of these:

1. My email: [email protected] (this is not actually some kind of a tech support email, it goes directly to me);
2. My Discord server: https://discord.gg/v3AaBWmyhq (create a new post in the bugs forum with your save file);
3. Or, to my DM on Discord. To do this, you will need to join my Discord server and send me a friend request (I usually accept such requests within a matter of minutes, if I'm not sleeping).

Most of such bugs occur due to a combination of factors that are extremely difficult to replicate, even with a detailed description of the issue. Save files could greatly assist me in tracking down and fixing them.

The save files are located in:

Windows: C:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\LocalLow\Oldbut Gold\Ad Fundum\Saves (the AppData folder is hidden, you may need to make it visible)

Linux: $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/unity3d/Ad Fundum or $HOME/.config/unity3d/Ad Fundum

Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Oldbut Gold/Ad Fundum

Update 1.0.3

Bug fixes:
 • Fixed an issue that would deteriorate the game's performance on some machines. Also, game's overall performance has been significantly improved;
 • Fixed a bug that caused different save files to become locked after completing a game in one of the other saves;
 • The description of "Ore Dust Extraction Module" is now displayed correctly;
 • Issues with getting stuck in a tile, falling through a tile, or not being able to move between two tiles have been resolved (I am using "should be" here because I could not reproduce them after fixing the issue. If they are still present, please let me know);
 • Issues with earthquakes not stopping after returning to the surface or killing a player above ground have also been fixed (again, I could not replicate these bugs after making the changes, so if they still occur, please notify me);
 • A bug where one of two metal spikes would not disappear after destroying the tile they were connected to has been resolved;
 • Problem with tiles appearing incorrectly on level 3 has been resolved.

Other changes:
 • The settings screen will now close after pressing "Save settings" or "Cancel". Yes, this was a very requested (and easy to implement) feature :)
 • Added descriptions to the S-tier upgrades briefly and intentionally vaguely explaining their special abilities.

Update 1.0.2

Bug fixes:

 • Fixed a bug where the game would crash after trying to refuel/repair when the player had exactly the same amount of money as the cost of refueling/repairing;
 • The issues with navigation when using the gamepad or keyboard in Special upgrades, inventory, shop, and Processing facility menus have been resolved;
 • An issue with one of Mr. Thompson's dialogue lines at level 4 not displaying correctly has been fixed;
 • Extremely high values for "Biggest one-time sale" in the statistics menu now display correctly.;
 • A bug where uranium continued to damage the player after using a Resource beacon has been fixed;
 • Uranium no longer damages the player when "No damage sources" is selected for Custom difficulty. It is also now impossible to obtain the achievement "Uranium Fever" when this option is selected;
 • Stalactites no longer get stuck on the top of the player's mech when "No damage sources" is selected for Custom difficulty;
 • LEVEL 7 SPOILER WARNING: Fixed a bug that prevented ID chips from appearing on the radar;
 • LEVEL 7 SPOILER WARNING: A bug was fixed where Nathaniel Forge's dialogue wouldn't appear when using radio. This prevented players from getting the "People's Person" achievement. If you called every character in every location and didn't get the achievement, go back to level 7 (also known as the bunker / lab / destroyed research facility) and call Nathaniel Forge.

Other changes:

 • Removed the sound of money when mining with the Ore Dust Extraction Module installed;
 • LEVELS 7 AND 8 SPOILER WARNING: Added "invincibility frames" after getting electrocuted by charge stations and power cores to avoid soft locks. These "invincibility frames" do not protect from damage, but prevent losing control of your mech.
