  • [p]\[Chinese - Traditional] Fixed a missing line in the Camp scene's introduction.[/p]

  • [p]\[Korean] Fixed an invalid character in the game title.[/p]
  • [p]\[Tagalog] Added missing translations for customer reviews.[/p]
  • [p]\[Italian] Added missing "(Multiplayer only)” tag for Twisted Necklace.[/p]
  • [p]\[Italian] Fixed a missing line in the tutorial level for multiplayer mode.[/p]

  • [p]Under Options > Controller, the setting name for toggling controller vibration has been simplified to “Vibration”.[/p]
[h3]Aesthetic Updates[/h3]
  • [p]Updated several Makanomicon pages to ensure consistency throughout the book.[/p]
  • [p]Adjusted the colors of the flower icons representing Indonesia, Laos, and Myanmar to improve their legibility on the Makanomicon page.[/p]
  • [p]The Credits page now plays its own soundtrack instead of re-using the Main Menu's theme.[/p]
[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • [p]\[UI/UX] Fixed a bug where matching the current high score on a level would always overwrite the best time, instead of keeping the better of the two.[/p]
  • [p]\[Gameplay] Fixed an issue where, if a player is interrupted during gathering from a shrub (e.g. getting hit by a monster) just as it completes, the shrub would become unresponsive and nothing would drop.[/p]
  • [p]\[Gameplay] Fixed a collider in 02-06 where players could get stuck in the driftwood near the Kitchen.[/p]
  • [p]\[Gameplay] Removed the fail state in the Tumpeng Altar cooking minigame to prevent players from failing due to overly-sensitive controller input.[/p]
  • [p]\[Audio] Fixed an issue where the appropriate soundtrack "Peppery Plateau / Mt. Khaya (Theme II)" was not playing in alternate Mountains levels.[/p]

Developers' Update (October 2025)

[p]Hello everyone![/p][p][/p][p]Jay from the development team here. [/p][p]We've been pretty silent for a month plus, so we wanted to provide a quick update for our players. Our last update regarding SEDAP!'s roadmap was a few months ago, on June 14:[/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]As per the roadmap, we've spent the past few months working on whatever bug fixing we could manage, various improvements to the game and also... our console versions that will be out later this month![/p][p][/p][p]But that's not all! [/p][p][/p][p]SEDAP! is currently sitting at "Mixed" reviews on Steam. This means that a significant number of our players aren’t satisfied with the game right now. We really want to change that. We love SEDAP!, and our team acknowledges that it wasn't released in its best state. From its release in May until now, we've been reading all your feedback and doing whatever we could to help. [/p][p][/p][p]Now that we're wrapping up console development, we can finally shift gears and focus on building SEDAP! version 1.1 - a major balancing and content update that addresses these frustrations to the best of our ability.[/p][p][/p][p]Soooo, in this post, I'd like to share about our console versions, and what's in store for v1.1![/p][p]Read on for more details.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]🎮 SEDAP! Console Versions[/h2][p][/p][p]SEDAP! A Culinary Adventure will come to the Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and the Nintendo Switch on October 22, 2025 (less than 3 weeks to go!). Also, there are currently no plans for cross-play :([/p][p][/p][h2]✳️ SEDAP! v1.1[/h2][p][/p][p]As mentioned above, Version 1.1 is our response to your feedback, addressing the frustrations and challenges many players have faced, namely the late-game levels being too difficult, especially in single-player mode. [/p][p][/p][p]Before we dive in into what v1.1 will offer, let's first do a little recap:[/p][p][/p][h3]Issues that we've tackled in previous patches:[/h3][h3][/h3][p]🌐 Online Multiplayer Instability[/p][p]We've switched from using Epic Online Services (EOS) to Steam Game Servers. Since then, players have reported improvements in online multiplayer stability. For our players based in China, we highly recommend using an accelerator to play in online multiplayer mode.[/p][p][/p][p]🏆 Steam Achievements[/p][p]We've fixed a bunch of bugs relating to Steam Achievements, and we also updated the game with visuals to display progress on some Achievements.[/p][p][/p][p]⚖️ Balancing[/p][p]Balancing for the game came in bits and pieces, such as slowing down the speed of raining Fireballs and adjusting some numbers here and there. But, it's safe to say that more balancing changes will come in v1.1 and will be the biggest balancing patch yet![/p][p][/p][h3]Here's what you can expect in v1.1 so far:[/h3][p](!) Please note that these features are still subject to change as we continue testing and refining the player experience.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]🌏 Minimap [/p][p]This is probably the most-requested feature by our players. [/p][p]This feature aims to support navigation and planning in bigger maps by providing information on ingredient spawns.[/p][p]The Minimap is toggled by pressing a designated button, showing players:[/p]
  • [p](1) a top-down overview of the level [/p]
  • [p](2) the player's current location in the level[/p]
  • [p](3) the positions + estimated respawn times of ingredient spawns[/p]
[p][/p][p]☀️ Difficulty Modes[/p][p]While some players are happy with the game’s current level of difficulty, many others feel that the game as it is right now is too challenging and stressful.[/p][p]Currently, we're contemplating to add a "Casual Mode" to make the game more accessible to players who prefer a less challenging experience while still being able to complete the campaign. "Casual Mode" would offer the following adjustments:[/p]
  • [p](1) more time given to complete each order[/p]
  • [p](2) more time given for food to go bad[/p]
  • [p](3) reduced Monster HP + damage[/p]
  • [p](4) less intense Rush Hour[/p]
  • [p](5) infinite cooking minigame chances[/p]
[p]The difficulty mode can be changed at any point in the campaign.[/p][p]Please note that you will not be able to earn Pink Stars in "Casual Mode".[/p][p][/p][p]⚒️ Level Adjustments[/p][p]A good chunk of player frustration was due to some awkwardly-placed elements in certain levels, particularly those from the latter half of the Beach and Mountains.[/p][p]Without making mega gigachad changes to these levels, we’ve made the following adjustments to create a smoother level experience while still maintaining a fair and satisfying level of challenge.[/p]
  • [p](1) re-ordered some order sequences for single-player[/p]
  • [p](2) re-positioned some Teletotems, Kitchenware and Interactables[/p]
  • [p](3) rewired some teleporter networks for Teletotems, Whirlpools, and Wind Portals[/p]
[p][/p][h3]... and here are more fun little features to look forward to:[/h3][p][/p][p]🐗 The Bestiary a new tab in the Makanomicon that includes fresh new art of our Monsters.[/p][p]📻 Merapi's Radio: a radio in the Camp, where Merapi yells (useful?) game tips at you.[/p][p][/p][p]And so, these are the features that we wish to highlight to you all in this update! Aside from the mentioned features, you can expect other improvements, such as bug fixes and quality-of-life features.[/p][p][/p][h3]v1.1 is slated to hit the PC version by end-November, and it will be available on console versions soon after, by end-December.[/h3][p][/p][h2]👋🏼 Conclusion[/h2][p][/p][p][/p][p]We're very much looking forward to our players enjoying this new and much-improved version of SEDAP!. [/p][p]Thanks for sticking around![/p][p]After v1.0.9 went live last week, we've received reports that players were obtaining Three Star and Pink Star Achievements ("Pinkfectionist" and "Pink Baloney Club") despite not meeting the requirements. This quick patch aims to tackle that.[/p][p] [/p][p]We're sorry for the inconvenience. We want to extend a hand to those affected (especially to our community of dedicated Achievement Hunters) so please read on to see how this may affect your Achievements data and how it may be rectified.[/p][p][/p][h2]Patch v1.0.10 Notes[/h2][p][/p][h3]Achievements[/h3]
  • [p](!!) Fixed a major issue where the Three Star and Pink Star Achievements were being incorrectly unlocked for players that have completed the campaign, but had not met the necessary Achievement conditions yet.[/p]
    • [p]Due to Steam Achievements policies, we are unable to lock these Achievements for you through patching if you have unlocked them incorrectly.[/p]
    • [p]To prevent this issue from occurring for future players, Player Achievement records for three-star and pink star clears have been updated to match the high-score records in the current version of the Save File. [/p]
