0.28.11 | Bug fixes & balancing



Thanks to the sharp eyes (and bug reports) of our players, another hotfix has just landed at the Academy. This update addresses several issues, improves clarity and adds a touch of extra polish to gameplay and visuals.

  • Councillor no longer assign identical wills after a quest.
  • Wills are no longer duplicated in the UI.
  • Council quest timers are now working properly.
  • Negotiation quests no longer crash the council.
  • Quest time displays are now accurate.
  • Construction-related council quests now verify if the objective was already completed.
  • Fixed a missing sprite for one bonus of a councillor.
  • Failed council quests can now be attempted again.
  • Bonus tooltips now show actual values instead of {0}.
  • Removed duplicate text in button tooltips.
  • Fixed selection issues on certain terrain elements.
  • Arkadiusa Thunderbird ( Red Headmaster ) is now correctly positioned in the selection menu.
  • Roof issues on the Miner’s Den fixed.
  • Fixed a bug that blocked the first quests from appearing.
  • Miners now unassign correctly when they're no longer supposed to work.
  • Fixed missing/duplicate translations for various indoor/outdoor objects.
  • Fixed assignment issues for the destruction ghost in Stratamagia.
  • Darker Stratamagia visuals corrected.
  • Collision issues fixed for some outdoor decorations.
  • All building construction costs have been rebalanced.
  • Golemancy I production increased by 50%.
  • Golemancy II production increased by 50%, class duration reduced by 35%.
  • Alchemy III class duration reduced by 50%.
  • New VFX when the mine is active.
  • New visuals for the active/inactive state of the mine.
  • New animation added to the level 2 Alchemy Room.
  • Improved visuals and level design in the Crystal Rift.

0.28.10 | Hotfix & playable on Steam Deck



A quick round of improvements and fixes just went live at Wizdom Academy! Thanks again to everyone sharing feedback – it helps us polish the magical experience.

Also, exciting news: Wizdom Academy has now undergone the Steam Deck Compatibility Review and is officially marked as Playable on Steam Deck!

  • Various tooltip errors corrected.
  • UI and UX improvements across multiple panels
  • Etherfang's animation now plays correctly.
  • Tech tree costs have been reduced across the board for better pacing and balance.
  • Multiple adjustments to the tech tree for improved progression and clarity.
  • You can now rename students and professors directly from the Selected Panel.

The winds of magic have swept through the Academy once more, bringing a fresh wave of fixes and enchantments. Here’s what our patch-wielding wizards have conjured this time:

  • The magical scroll now opens properly — no more cursed silence!
  • Rank 2 students no longer vanish into the void when loading your game.
  • Certain objects and effects now properly disappear when students leave their job stations.
  • Adjusted the student waiting positions in the Trial Room — they now wait with grace and purpose.
  • Removed several unnecessary collisions cluttering the grounds.
  • Updated Self-Defense Tier 3 assets with improved visuals.
  • Polished positioning and layout across a few work areas for better flow.
  • New Self-Defense animations for a more dynamic dueling experience!
  • Added the second bed from the Tech Tree to the Teacher Dormitory Tier 2 — because even professors need their rest.
  • The realm's finest dragon tamers are finalizing the taming rituals of the Wizz… A complete rework of the Wizz and their role in the Wizlair is on the horizon! 🐉

0.28.8 | New beds, bug fixes, and more magic Incoming!



Greetings, Headmasters!

A fresh batch of magical improvements has just arrived at the Academy. Our groundskeepers and scholars have been hard at work fixing troublesome enchantments and preparing the path for future wonders. Here’s what’s new:

  • Fixed low motivation visual effect.
  • Fixed trees no longer appearing inside buildings after loading a save.
  • Fixed Headmaster not showing up in the management system.
  • Fixed scroll issue where the seal remained visible after opening.
  • Fixed portal rotation to correctly show the Headmaster's exit.
  • Fixed Level 2 drought creation not working properly.
  • Fixed various character animation issues.
  • Improved several translation entries for better localization.
  • Added more beds to Teacher Dormitory Tier 1. (Teacher Dormitory Tier 2 coming soon!)
  • The customization button has been temporarily removed.

0.28.7 | Bugfixes, balance & hats



Another day, another round of magical bug hunting and balance tuning!

This patch brings a number of critical fixes, improvements to pathfinding, visual upgrades, and quality-of-life enhancements — all while laying the groundwork for some surprises.

Thank you for all your feedback — here’s what’s new:

  • Mana production no longer breaks when unlocking a technology during a drought.
  • Trial Room no longer crashes if a student with zero cycles remaining is sent in.
  • Mana Windmill production is now correctly removed when the building is destroyed.
  • Arrows turning red and doors staying closed due to environmental factors should behave properly again.
  • Type II Droughts are now back in action. Hydrate wisely.
  • The Etherfang Decoy was nearly impossible to fully charge — it's now balanced and ready for use.
  • Fixed incorrect display of professor cost-per-cycle in the inspection menu.
  • Professor cost-per-cycle no longer shows a negative sign but is displayed in red instead. Conversely, student cycle costs now show in green during admission.
  • Walls of the Golemancy Floor are no longer mysteriously missing.
  • Resolved issues with room placement above Exam Halls — you can't build directly over them anymore.
  • Recruiting Rank II (or higher) students could completely break the game — that’s now fixed.
  • Arrival Portal bug fixed: it would break permanently if two students with different ranks but identical profiles arrived consecutively.
  • Alchemy Room T2 no longer reverts to T1 after loading a save.
  • Mana storage no longer increases unintentionally after loading a game with certain unlocked techs.
  • Wiz Lair room fixed to avoid placement and blockage issues.
  • Some quests weren't showing at the start of the game — they now appear as expected.
  • Floating asset removed from destroyed Alchemy Room T1.
  • No more floating hammers in Golem Recolt Room.
  • Fixed a bug where some characters were loaded with the wrong skin for their rank after reloading a save.
  • Improved pathfinding for students exiting the portal in Lillac Grove.
  • Golem Recolt Room now reveals a little more when peeled with V.
  • Etherfang Decoy charging logic has been smoothed out.
  • Various performance and visual improvements in Crystal Rift and Lillac Grove.
  • Optimization of certain LODs (Level of Detail).
  • New animations added for History of Magic Tier 2 — enjoy the historical flair!
  • Rumor has it... the Hatters have arrived with a massive shipment of magical hats. Professors might be getting a stylish upgrade soon...
