Hello everyone,

Aside from getting excited for our upcoming workation, we’ve also worked on:

  • Level design for new islands 🏝️
  • Set up more playtesting sessions


[h3]🎨 Art[/h3]
  • Started with a new character design 🧑‍🤝‍🧑
  • Updated the steam page visuals (custom award badges & text headlines) ✨
  • Created the designs and set dressings for the different tribes




[h3]🖥️ Programming[/h3]
  • Added new UI screens
  • Adjusted UI to work with various screen resolutions
  • Improved the radial menu
  • Polished the tools
  • Fixed issues with the world map 🌍


[h3]💬 Other[/h3]
  • Exhibited at Baltic Games Fest in Neumünster, Germany
  • Exhibited at Reboot Develop Blue in Dubrovnik, Croatia (we were nominated for several awards, and
  • drum roll please* won Best Audio!! 🥁🔥)
  • Participated in a playtesting session at Media Markt
  • Preparing something pretty big, can't say what it is just yet, but trust us, it's going to be awesome! 🤫

Hello everyone,

this is what we’ve been up to in the last month:

  • Worked on the level design for the starter island 🏝️
  • Set up more playtesting sessions

  • Created decoration for the 3D ruins
  • Polished our sticker collection
  • Finished the ✨new key✨ art
  • Updated the Steam capsules
  • Created visuals for a new character (Say hello to Milo. He's a bit shy, but he's always up for a talk when you ask him about history📚)

  • Improved and polished the radial menu and tools
  • Updated the demo for new events (are you coming to the Baltic Games Fest this weekend? 🤗)
  • Implemented a new character

Hello everyone,

this is what we’ve been up to in February:

[h3]🎮 Gameplay[/h3]
  • Erik, our new level design intern, had his first week and started work on the swamp islands (welcome to our team 🤗)
  • Reworked the onboarding


[h3]🎨 Art[/h3]
  • Added the ruins shaders
  • Created 3D windows and arches for the ruins
  • Created new UI elements for the map
  • Worked on a new key art (coming soon✨)

  • Added the option to mark stickers as favourites
  • Improved and polished the map UI


[h3]💬 Other[/h3]
  • participated in a playtest session at Game City Hamburg
  • Exhibited at Mag-C in Erfurt, Germany



  • Won the 2nd place in the Game Design award, which we shared with our good friends over at Glintseeker Island 🥳🧡
  • We got our first fan art, thank you so much! 🥰

Hello everyone, 🤗

Time for another monthly dev log. This is what we have been up to in January:

[h2]🎮 Gameplay[/h2]
  • designed more levels for new islands
  • tested new puzzle mechanics

[h2]🎨 Art[/h2]
  • added a modular world map background
  • started a new key art and updated the steam page text and screenshots (both still WIP)
  • updated the UI for the map tools (pencil case, camera, sticker box)

[h2]🖥️ Programming[/h2]
  • implemented two new islands
  • added new animations
  • fixed some bugs after playtesting
  • optimized the map UX

[h2]🎶 Audio[/h2]
  • added voice-overs to dialogues (kinda, you'll see)
  • created more sound effects for the main character

[h2]💬 Other[/h2]
  • Laura and Lukas were invited by their former university to give a presentation about the founding of our own company
  • Pipapo Games*, the development of our very first title ‘Map Map - A Game About Maps’ and our whole journey so far

Hello everyone,

hopefully your year has started as cozy as ours 🥰
That's why our monthly is a little late this time, but we're back now! This is what we did in December:


[h3]🎮 Gameplay[/h3]
  • designed the level for the playground island


[h3]🎨 Art[/h3]
  • created 3D ruins for modular kit
  • worked on set dressing for two new islands
  • drew additional island maps
  • created UI elements for the world map (e.g. fog for undiscovered parts)
  • designed the UI for the star rating and treasure


[h3]🖥️ Programming[/h3]
  • finished the basics of the world map
  • added the treasure UI
  • implemented the star rating for completed missions




[h3]🎶 Audio[/h3]
  • created music for menu
  • created music for world map
  • added sound effects for tools


[h3]🗨️ Other[/h3]
  • continued story design
  • created new dialogues for the demo missions


Last but not least, we were selected for the Draknek Puzzle Grant!! How amazing is that? 🤯🥳
