⚔️ A Patch Fit for the Gods ⚔️

Fellow Vikings!

The forge has been burning hot! We've been hard at work sharpening the edges of Asgard’s Fall, and today's patch is packed with quality-of-life improvements, balancing updates, and much-needed bug fixes.

From fine-tuning abilities and damage scaling to reworking key systems like Warpaints and controls—this update is all about making your journey through the Nine Realms smoother and more thrilling.

[h3]IMPORTANT NOTE: With this patch, we’re preparing your save files for the upcoming Steam Cloud Save feature. The feature will be activated within the next 1–2 days, so we kindly ask you to play only on the device where you’ve made the most progress during this time. Once activated, your progress will automatically be uploaded to the cloud. Thank you for your understanding.[/h3]



  • Added a controls menu to rebind keys. (We're still working on this system to include more control options.)
  • Added confirmation popups for closing the game, ending a run, and resetting Warpaints.
  • Added tooltips to the compendium. The compendium can now also be accessed during a run.
  • Added an indicator for newly dropped Warpaints in your inventory.
  • Added a 150% movement speed cap to make other defensive options more valuable. We've also increased the roll values on all other defensive stats to make them easier to improve.




  • Inventory can now be accessed inside the Warpaint Hut, making navigation easier. (This is a temporary fix before a complete overhaul of the Warpaint System in a future update.)
  • Increased the chance to get higher-tier stats on epic and legendary Warpaints.
  • Increased the drop chance for common pigments by 50%.
  • Increased the drop chance for epic pigments by 50%.
  • Reduced required hero XP for level-ups by 20%.
  • Decreased the base enemy scaling curve by 30%

  • Muspelheim:
    • Reduced damage dealt by Molten Slime by 50%.
    • Reduced damage dealt by the Flaming Skull Wall by 20%.
    • Reduced movement speed of the Flaming Skull Wall by 10%.
  • Balance Changes:
    • Changed Warpaint Pattern “Sigil of Elements” to provide 25% (was 5%) increased overall damage.
    • Changed Warpaint Pattern “Rune of Wrath” to provide 10% (was 20%) increased overall damage.
    • Changed unlock requirements for the Huntress to 200% (was 500%) Attack Speed.
    • Changed Ability Upgrade “Damage” steps to 20% → 30% → 45% → 60% (previously 15% → 25% → 40%).
    • Reduced cooldown reduction from “Viking’s Resolve” to 10% (was 15%).
    • Increased base damage from “Raid Party” to 100 (was 50).
    • Increased base damage from “Sharp Thorns” to 35 (was 10).
    • Increased base damage from “Wolf Companion” to 110 (was 55).
    • Increased base damage from “Homing Arrow” to 140 (was 90).
    • Decreased base cooldown of “Ride of the Valkyries” to 6 (was 9).
    • Increased base damage of “Ride of the Valkyries” to 80 (was 40).
    • Increased base damage of “Spear of the Elder” to 90 (was 45).
    • Increased base damage of “Firewolf’s Fury” to 100 (was 45).
    • Increased base spawn amount of “Firewolf’s Fury” to 3 (was 1).
    • Increased base damage of “Molten Trap” to 50 (was 30).
    • Decreased base cooldown of “Molten Trap” to 6 (was 8).
    • Increased base damage of “Frost Trap” to 35 (was 20).
    • Increased base damage of “Stormpiercer” to 200 (was 90).
    • Increased base damage of “Helstorm” to 140 (was 80).


  • Fixed an issue with Warpaints randomly disappearing. (We are still investigating this—please report any further issues you encounter.)
  • Fixed a memory leak. This should reduce freezes and improve overall performance.
  • Fixed an issue where cooldowns for some abilities stopped working, preventing further activation.
  • Fixed an issue where enemies would stop spawning.
  • Fixed localization issues that caused crashes, particularly in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
  • Fixed hitbox issues for both players and enemies.
  • Fixed an issue where “Summon” spawn amounts were shown as 0 instead of the actual value.
  • Fixed an issue where spamming the Warpaint reset button allowed placing more patterns than intended.
  • Fixed an issue with “Loki’s Gambit” not working as intended.
  • Fixed an issue with “Warrior’s Momentum” not working as intended.




  • Temporarily removed the pigment inventory screen.
  • Temporarily removed Muspelheim’s Fire Rain.

🛠️ Next Update Preview

Hey Vikings! ⚔️

We’ve been hard at work on the next update for Asgard’s Fall, and here’s a quick sneak peek at what’s coming. From helpful new features to balance improvements and bug fixes, here’s what you can look forward to (as of today):


Small but helpful new features: You’ll now get confirmation popups before quitting or ending a run, and tooltips have been added to the compendium for easier understanding.


Lots of balancing and quality-of-life tweaks! Inventory access in the Warpaint Hut is smoother, pigment drops and level-up pacing have improved, and enemies (especially in Muspelheim) are a bit less punishing. Some Warpaints and abilities have also been rebalanced for better progression.


Several bugs have been squashed: disappearing Warpaints, hitbox issues, crashes in certain languages, and more. Warpaint placement exploits and incorrect summon indicators have also been addressed.

To all our Chinese, Japanese and Korean warriors: We've identified the issues that were causing frequent crashes—especially in the Chinese version. A fix is on the way and will be implemented as soon as possible!

What a Start! ⚔️🔥

The release of Asgard’s Fall has been an absolute blast, and we’re incredibly grateful for the warm welcome and excitement you've shown! But there's no rest for the weary ... we’re already back at it, working hard to make the game even better. 💪

Over the past days, we’ve watched countless streams, read through discussions, and listened closely to your feedback on Discord. It’s been incredibly helpful and encouraging! Thank you for being so passionate and vocal! 🙌

[h3]Right now, one of our main focuses is on implementing Cloud Saves—a feature that needs careful testing to ensure nothing breaks your savegames or progress. Alongside that, we’re tackling quality-of-life improvements, balancing updates, and bug fixes.[/h3]

Balancing in particular is a tricky beast. It’s a fine line between being too aggressive or too conservative, and we want to make sure we get it just right. Especially yesterday’s patch already addressed some of the reported issues, and we’re continuing to roll up our sleeves to finish the next update as soon as possible. As a two-person team, we’re fully committed to doing things properly, even if it means taking the time to do it right.

As a sneak peek: we're currently looking at progression speed and plan to tweak a few things to improve the experience for all Vikings out there. This includes slightly lowering the base difficulty for a smoother start, while also ramping up the blood sacrifice (yes, you heard right 🔥🩸) for those of you seeking a more brutal, hardcore experience.

One small heads-up: we deactivated the demo for now. We’re all-in on the full game right now. Thanks so much for your understanding!

Patch 0.2.0.d + Launch Aftermath

Hello everyone! First of all we wanted to thank you all for the support and feedback you put out since the early access launch! We're glad that so many of you enjoy the game and interacting with us and the community to help making the game as best as it can be!

We sat together today and made a huge list with improvements, fixes and QOL changes gathered from your feedback that we will implement within the next days and weeks.

I am currently focusing on fixing critical bugs to make sure the gameplay is going to be as smooth as possible while also adding some small changes suggested by you. After that we will concentrate on balancing and adding new content.

  • Added a 1.5 seconds invincibility time for the player after returning from the level up screen back into the run. Enemies are also getting knocked back slightly.
  • Added keyboard support for rerolling level up upgrades by pressing “R”-key.
  • Added keyboard support for confirming dematerialization by pressing “Space”-key.
  • Added the ability to check your current abilities during level ups opening your stat menu with “Tab”-key / “Select”-button


[h3]Fixed[/h3]
  • Fixed an issue causing some Achievements not to trigger as intended. These should now trigger retroactively.
  • Fixed an issue with the Seer’s skill “Runic Barrage” not being reset after the run resulting in endlessly increasing the spawn amount of the Curseweaver’s projectiles.
  • Fixed an issue where the Seer’s skill “Witness Me” was active without being selected in the Seidr Tree.
  • Fixed an issue regarding trajectory abilities (like “Skadis Ice Arrow”) not hitting their intended target
  • Fixed an issue where you could “die” after a run inside of the camp resulting in the screen to turn grey and being unable to continue the game.
  • Fixed an issue with one of the Warpaints showing a localization error.

Small Patch 0.2.0.c

  • Fixed an issue causing the game to crash when hovering over certain abilities. This is related to some localization problems, so if you encounter any further problems while playing on any other language then english you might want to change your language to english until the problem is completely resolved.
  • Fixed an issue where boss enemies could be feared off the map with the seer's blood vial. Bosses are now immune to fear effects.
