Kingdom Rush 5 dev calls for feedback as new DLC's Steam rating plummets

Tower defense games are a fantastic distillation of the strategy game format, so it's not too surprising that the likes of Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance, Bloons TD 6, Orcs Must Die, and Plants vs Zombies remain so popular. New Kingdom Rush 5 DLC Colossal Dwarfare, however, has landed to a surprisingly stark reception. Since its launch on Thursday January 30, the expansion pack has found itself with a dreaded 'mostly negative' rating. Just 32% of Steam reviews are positive, a far cry from the base game's excellent 86% score, and developer Ironside wants to know how it can change that.

Colossal Dwarfare Balance Changes

Hello Generals!

We've been closely listening to your feedback on the Colossal Dwarfare update, and today we're rolling out some balance adjustments. These changes are just the beginning, and we’ll continue to monitor feedback and make adjustments as needed.

Enemies
Flying Sentry: HP down from 250 to 200
Scrap Drone: HP down from 100 to 50
Darksteel Hammerer: HP down from 450 to 400
Darksteel Shielder now gives 30 gold
Darksteel Guardian now gives 250 gold and deals less damage (when not "Frenzied")
DarksteelHulk: Fixed speed-up bug. Now it won't trigger it's run near exits
Stage 23: Adjusted some timings and quantity of enemies' to reduce some of the pressure at certain points

Others
Tweaks to Kratoa's power curve so he'll be stronger from the get-go at level 5
Toned down some loud SFXs

Tower Balance Changes

Hey generals, a new update is here with some tower tweaks to shake things up! Check out the changes and let us know what you think!

Elven Stargazer
Cost reduced to 120/180/240/310
Slightly increased damage per shot to 4-6 / 10-16 / 20-28 / 32-48
Rising Star: Increased time window for the "on death" effect to trigger
Event Horizon: Reduced CD to 22/20/18 (from 24/22/20)

Dune Sentinels
Very minor dmg buff per hit, slightly increased bounce range
Bounty Hunt: Increased damage to 56/118/184
Whirling Doom: Increased damage per hit and reduced 1 sec for all levels. It now deals 24-40/40-64/52/76 per second for 3/4/5 secs (from 16-24/24-44/36-56 for 4/5/6). It also applies a 25% slow (from 20%) and requires only 2 enemies to be triggered (from 3).

Twilight Longbows
Support Blades: increased HP to 60/90/120 and dodge chance to 40% (from 40/60/80 and 30%)

Battle Brewmasters
Elixir of Might: Increased Halfdan's HP to 100/140/180
Bad Batch: Decreased CD to 24 (from 30) and slightly increased explosion AoE
