Devlog #9 – Galewyn, the Frost Queen

[p]Hey Survivors!
[/p][p]Today’s devlog tells the story of Galewyn the First, the Queen of the Frost Kingdom, one of the most tragic and powerful figures in Tri Survive. Once the daughter of fire, she now rules a kingdom of frost, standing as both protector and recluse. Cool, collected, and touched by sorrow, Galewyn fights as a Tank hero, wielding her massive Royal Hammer to control the battlefield.
[/p][p][/p]
Born of Fire
[p]Galewyn Ardent was born into nobility in the Human Kingdom, daughter of Ignis and Ila Ardent, both Keepers of the Eternal Flame. Her father trained for the trials to become Royal Archmage, and Galewyn grew up learning magic at his side. To her, Ignis was more than a teacher. He was her role model. She dreamed of following in his footsteps, and he believed she might even surpass him one day.[/p][p]Her mother Ila, however, was secretly suffering from a terminal illness. She hid it until Ignis completed his trials and earned the title of Archmage. Only then did her strength give out, and she passed away. The loss shattered both father and daughter. Ignis turned deeper into his studies, while Galewyn felt the warmth of her childhood vanish.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
The Cold Flame
[p]In his grief, Ignis sought answers in endless study, pushing fire magic toward cosmic heights. Galewyn’s powers, however, began to shift. Her fire dimmed and turned cold, its flames a strange, unnatural blue.[/p][p]To Ignis, this was unacceptable. “There is no use for a cold flame,Not only that, but it is simply wrong.” he told her. “If we cannot fix this, you will never become Archmage. It is our duty to your late mother to achieve this!” His obsession left no room for compassion.[/p][p]Galewyn tried for years to reignite her flames, but nothing worked. The pressure between them grew unbearable until one day it erupted into an argument. “You are obsessed! It’s nothing but the Eternal Flame, all day, all night!” she cried. “It consumed our family! One day, it will consume all!” she couldn’t take it anymore.[/p][p]Her grief exploded into power. With a shriek, she struck the ground, and blue fire burst into towering spires of ice. The chamber froze over, snow drifting from the ceiling. Father and daughter stared in shock before Galewyn turned away. She left the Human Kingdom behind and was never seen there again. From then on, whispers spread of a mighty Frost Queen ruling a realm of eternal snow.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
In-Game Role: Tank
[p]Galewyn enters Tri Survive as a Tank, wielding her massive Royal Hammer to sweep enemies in front of her. Built to endure punishment, she excels at controlling swarms and inflicting enemies damage.[/p][p]Her active ability, Frozen Spires, evolves as follows:[/p]
 • [p]She slams her Royal Hammer into the ground, summoning icy shards that damage enemies.[/p]
 • [p]As it strengthens, shards slow enemy movement, increase in number, and deal more damage.[/p]
 • [p]At full strength, they shatter into frost, freezing enemies briefly in place.[/p]
[p]Galewyn thrives at the center of chaos. She slows, freezes, and holds the line so her allies can fight safely. Paired with damage dealers or healers, she becomes the immovable anchor of the trio.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
A Queen of Solitude
[p]Though she rules with frosty strength, Galewyn carries deep sadness. She spends her days with frost-forged constructs and creatures of her own making, distant from human touch. Yet her cool, unshaken resolve to protect the world from the consuming fire remains. Where once she was bound by the Eternal Flame, she now walks a path of frost, alone but unbroken.

That’s all for today’s devlog!

Galewyn will be playable once Tri Survive releases, and we can’t wait for you to experience her story and her frosty dominion. Stay tuned for more devlogs as we reveal more from Tri Survive![/p]

Devlog #8 – Noa, Healer of the Deep

[p]Hey Survivors!
[/p][p]Today’s devlog takes us below the surface into still waters, silent currents, and the story of a prodigy who nearly drowned in his own power.
Meet Noa Shimmerwind, a gifted aquamancer from the Ocean Tribes, and a Support hero with the rare ability to heal from the inside out.[/p][p]He’s calm. Controlled. Reverent. But it wasn’t always that way.

Let’s dive in.
[/p][p][/p]
Born to Heal, Drawn to Power
[p]Noa’s journey started like many Ocean Tribe apprentices: surrounded by salt spray and ancient rituals, taught to respect the sea’s balance.[/p][p]From an early age, Noa excelled in aquamancy. Too much, too fast.[/p][p]He could conjure water from dry stone, levitate spheres in the air, and perform tricks that dazzled his tribe, especially his younger sister, Faye.[/p][p]But Noa didn’t stop at healing magic. His mind wandered. He experimented. He began to tap into deeper reserves waters locked beneath the earth, within trees, even inside living creatures.[/p][p]The more he unlocked, the more detached he became, chasing power with reckless ambition.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
The Breaking Point
[p]Noa’s obsession peaked deep in the mainland. He attempted to destroy an ancient, towering tree to prove his strength. Just as the tree began to tremble, it was shielded by his sister. Faye, now the Forest Protector, confronted Noa. Her anger pierced through the fog of his delusion. Her fear of the water and of him shook him.[/p][p]The forest floor collapsed. Faye fell into the churning abyss Noa had awakened. He dove in after her, fought the currents, and pulled her to the surface .. broken and unconscious. There was no time. Noa used everything he had, his full control over the water within her body, to heal her.[/p][p]He succeeded. But the cost was clarity.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Redemption Runs Deep
[p]Noa returned to the Ocean Tribes and made a vow to abandon destruction and cease all reckless experimentation. Despite already mastering advanced aquamancy, he voluntarily re-enrolled in basic healing studies to rebuild his path with discipline and humility. Over time, he became known as one of the most powerful healers of his kind. However, he now guards his knowledge closely and only teaches his techniques to those he personally deems worthy.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
In-Game Role: Support
[p]Noa is a ranged support. His auto attack sends an orb of water outward until it reaches his attack range. It splashes on impact, dealing AOE damage. A percentage of the damage heals the party.[/p][p]His active ability, Whirlpool Trap, spawns three small whirlpools in random locations within his attack range. Each whirlpool lasts one second, traps enemies, pulls them to the center, and deals 5% of their max HP as damage per second.
At level 2, the radius increases.
At level 3, the duration extends to two seconds.
At level 4, the number of whirlpools increases to four.[/p][p]Noa’s abilities rely on crowd control, healing, and positioning.[/p][p][/p]
Still Waters, Quiet Strength
[p]Noa doesn’t talk much. But when he does, it’s thoughtful & measured.[/p][p]He’s no longer the showoff who juggled water for applause.[/p][p]Now, he watches. He listens. He acts only when necessary.[/p][p]But under that calm surface?[/p][p]There’s still a flicker of the boy who dreamed of controlling oceans.[/p][p](Concept)[/p][p]
That’s it for today’s devlog![/p][p]Noa will be playable at launch in Tri Survive, bringing a unique approach to healing and battlefield control unlike any other hero in our roster.

Devlog #7 - Faye, the Forest Protector

[p]Hey Survivors!

The next hero we are going to talk about in today’s devlog is one with roots in two worlds, sea and forest, magic and mystery. Faye Shimmerwind, the Forest Protector, is finally unveiled and joins the roster as a Support, who blends healing with harmony.
Raised by the Ocean Tribes but forever drawn to the deep woods, Faye brings a unique take on restoration, one that sees healing not just as recovery, but as a way of living in balance with nature itself.[/p][p]
Let’s learn more about her background and gameplay abilities!
[/p][p]
[/p]
From Tides to Trees
[p]Faye’s story begins not where you'd expect. While she’s unmistakably elven in appearance and presence, she didn’t grow up beneath starlit groves or shimmering treetop cities. Instead, her childhood is made of salt air and Ocean Tribe lullabies.[/p][p]Discovered as a newborn adrift at sea, Faye was taken in by a skilled healer of the Ocean Tribes, raised among sea-bound traditions, surrounded by potions and tide-whispering rituals. She grew up alongside her adopted brother, Noa.[/p][p]Though the marine lifestyle characterizes her roots, Faye never felt fully at home near the water. She harbored a deep, inexplicable fear of the ocean depths, often clinging to dry land while her peers practiced sea magic and healing in the shallows.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
A Book, A Spark
[p]Her sense of otherness was quietly confirmed the day an elven traveler arrived on their island. Though he did not say much, he saw something in Faye and asked if she wanted to follow him on his journey, but after her refusal, he gifted her a book of elven stories before departing.[/p][p]That was the moment that changed everything. Although she hesitated for a moment, the elf decided that she would not abandon her family, even if it meant missing out on legendary adventures.[/p][p]Through those pages, Faye found resonance: in the connection between elves and the natural world, in the idea that healing is more than mending wounds, it's about nurturing life. From that day on, her focus shifted from traditional healing to a more holistic, protective path.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Protector of the Wild
[p]Now grown, Faye has taken her first steps far from the ocean that she never felt was home. Guided by instinct and the whispers of the wild, she’s become a wandering forest healer, safeguarding nature’s sacred places and lending her magic to any creature, beast, or human who comes in peace.[/p][p]Wherever she goes, flora flourishes. Campsites bloom. Wounds fade. Her laugh echoes like birdsong, even as her presence anchors those around her. As if she is a Keeper of the Groove.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
In-Game Role: Support
[p]Faye’s playstyle in Tri Survive is all about healing, defense, and natural team synergy. Her active ability, Elven Blessing, evolves across five tiers, each deepening her support potential. At its core, she casts a shielding spell that softens incoming attacks for the entire trio. As the ability evolves, the shield not only lasts longer but begins to mend wounds based on how much damage was absorbed. Eventually, it becomes a restorative burst of energy, healing allies and damaging enemies in close range with a retaliatory blast once the barrier fades.[/p][p]She shines in slower-paced battles where territory control and team cohesion matter. Pair her with aggressive frontliners or sharpshooters who can hold ground, and she’ll keep them thriving for the whole fight.
[/p][p]
[/p]
The Lighthead of The Party
[p]Faye’s cheerful, cheeky spirit is part of her charm, but don’t expect poise and mystery. She wants to be seen as wise and otherworldly, like the elves in her stories, but often slips into awkward honesty or playful teasing. Just don’t call her a "typical elf”. She’ll deny it while unconsciously braiding vines into her hair.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]
That’s all for today’s devlog!
Faye will be playable once Tri Survive releases, and we can’t wait for you to try her unique blend of lore-rich healing and environmental gameplay.
