  • Yeah… that was a bug, not a feature. Now you can take them down.

  • Buying upgrades? Now properly refunds 75% of the purchase price if refunded.

[h3]🏅 Prestige System Fixes[/h3]

  • Prestige weapon names now show correctly (no more ugly dev placeholders).
  • 🔄 Ammo count & sortie count now properly carry over into prestige.


[h3]🔫 QoL Buff: Ammo Upgrades[h3]

  • Whenever you upgrade your weapon max ammo count, it now gives the same amount to the current ammo count.

[h2]Fixes & Improvements[/h2]


  • Decryption UI Fix – Fixed an issue where the decrypt animation could get stuck on encrypted text.
  • Camera Stability – Resolved a bug causing occasional camera jumps after firing.
  • Bullet Change Bug Fixed – A bug made the game too fun by altering bullet behavior with sortie count changes. That fun is now regulated.
  • Upgrade System Restored – Previously, Gatling upgrades could apply to all guns due to a bug. That exploit is now history.



[h2]Gameplay Adjustments[/h2]


  • Operation Thunderfield - Fix – Mission time extended to 30 minutes, as originally intended.
  • Hellfire Fix – Now tracks dead center of the reticle for better accuracy.
  • Weapon & Upgrade System Rebuilt – Entire system overhauled! Some balance inconsistencies may arise, so feel free to drop by our Discord with feedback—most of these fixes and changes come from your bug reports and suggestions!

Small Hotfix v0.9.26 - The one about shooting duds

Hey commanders!

With sortie count change, a bug prevented extra projectiles to not deal any damage.

Note to self : That's what you get for pushing an update at 5AM #realgamerhours

[h2]Quality of Life Improvements[/h2]

  • Added an Invert Vertical option for camera controls.
  • AI is now more responsive to orders, with improved pathfinding quality.
  • Enhanced visibility for indicators, making them easier to spot in combat.
  • Added indicators for available updates for each weapon


[h2]Balancing Changes[/h2]


  • Damage Fall-Off System Implemented – Direct hits are now more rewarding.
  • Increased Kill Rewards – XP and currency rewards for kills have been boosted by 1.33x.
  • Sortie Count Upgrade Buff – No longer consumes additional ammo for single-shot weapons (30mm, 45mm, 102mm, etc.). More upgrade options will be added later.


[h3]Weapon Damage Adjustments: [/h3]

  • 105mm – Damage increased by 3x.
  • 45mm – Damage increased by 3x.
  • Hellfire Missile – Speed increased by 1.5x, Damage increased by 1.5x.
  • Maverick Missile – Speed increased by 1.5x.
  • JDAM Bomb – Speed increased by 2x.

  • UI is now properly responsive on widescreen aspect ratios (e.g., 3440x1440).
  • Prestige progression fix – Now correctly triggers at 40 total upgrades (previously, Level 1 was not counted).

Small Hotfix v0.9.2 - The one about AEGIS

Commanders,

Thank you for your continued support on Metal Thunder. I was dealing with some life problems recently and could not work on the game properly but I'm planning to return to schedule and will deliver bigger & better updates starting March

FIXED - AI in Frozen AEGIS mission should move normally
FIXED - Leaderboards should display kills properly
QoL - Leaderboards are extended to hold up until top 200
