It's v. 1106, the Chant Voice Customization Update!

[p]Hi folks!

In our first really fun round of post-launch updates, I'm excited to announce that we have now implemented chant voices that you can select from.

This is 100% so that you can truly feel in-tune with your monk as you play and absolutely not so you can haunt both your friends and the NPCs.[/p][p][/p][p]Here are the full patch notes:[/p]
  • [p]Voice chat has been reworked - you should expect improved audio quality now![/p]
  • [p]You can now change microphones for voice chat [/p]
  • [p]Players can now customize their chant voice![/p]
  • [p]There's now a voice chat icon on top of players that are talking[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the hold zones for pies & cheese items on both monks and rats[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where joining a server too late would cause clients to see incorrect spicefall particles[/p]
[p][/p][p]As a reminder, you'll currently find Co-op Kaiju Horror Cooking on sale for 40% off ($4.79 USD)

Please chant responsibly.

Resolution for Crashing Issues in Newest Game Version: vers. 1104

[p]Hi everyone!

We were recently made aware of crashes affecting folks starting the game after we tried to rectify a different issue involving crashes when enabling Windowed mode. We have since addressed both issues.

If you're still crashing from an earlier save, you should be able to delete that save folder and continue playing.

Please let us know if anything else comes up and we'll hop to it!

Thanks again for all of your prompt feedback & reports - keep em coming.

We'll be back with you soon to start chatting about all the updates we've got in store.

Let's just say, I hope you REALLY like chanting.[/p][p]

[p]Happy launch day, monks!

To celebrate launch, you'll find Co-op Kaiju Horror Cooking on sale for 40% off ($4.79 USD)
[dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]
Below, you'll also find our first release changelog, officially bridging the playtest to our launch.

We want to thank you all so much for playing with us over the last week as well as leaving us all of your reports + feedback. It's been immensely helpful, and the team has been actively working to address your reports.

Here are the notes for version 1103:
[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Visual effects have been optimized[/p]
  • [p]Reducing the graphics settings should now hide some smaller effects[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where rats would not drop their items upon death (they were dedicated)[/p]
  • [p]All item vendors in the Monastery had their inventories tweaked[/p]
  • [p]Added a dynamic difficulty system that adjusts certain parameters of the game according to the amount of players in the match[/p]
  • [p]Improved controller support for the player kick screen[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where certain items would have their names displayed with ALL CAPS[/p]
  • [p]Going back to the Monastery after a successful match will now erase the inventory of all players (sorry!!)[/p]
  • [p] Fixed an issue where certain visual effects would vanish from the player's screen if the player moved their camera fast enough[/p]
  • [p]Added a visual effect for when the Minotaur charges into a wall (it's very good and funny)[/p]
  • [p]Adjusted the knockback of the Wooden Cross on Evil Spirits[/p]
  • [p]Plenty of text changes[/p]
  • [p]Added a Credits screen[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue with Pascal's beard (sorry bud)[/p]
  • [p]Improved item throwing[/p]
  • [p]The game's timer will now start with exactly 10 minutes[/p]
  • [p]After dying, NPCs will now fade out faster[/p]
  • [p]Chanting had its stamina consumption halved[/p]
  • [p]The Rolling Pin's cooldown has been reduced to match the Cleaver's cooldown.[/p]
  • [p]The Big Rock now deals a lot more damage, can now be used to crush ingredients[/p]
  • [p]Upon satisfying the Kaiju, the HUD's timer will correctly display one minute left for players to bring all treasure to the lift[/p]
  • [p]The Minotaur can no longer steer during a charge after hitting at least one character[/p]
  • [p]Also, the Minotaur can only deal damage after 1 second has passed since it started charging.[/p]
  • [p]Added an option to anonymize player names (we're hoping this makes footage & streaming feel much more accessible!)[/p]
  • [p]Clicking twice on the same lobby in the lobby selection panel should no longer display the "Stuff's on fire!" message.[/p]
  • [p]The Crossbow is no longer a large item[/p]
  • [p]If all players die after the Kaiju has been fed, the victory screen shows up instantly instead of only after 1 minute[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where the Seasoning Portals could have incorrect effects[/p]
  • [p]Successfully feeding the Kaiju will now display a message on the Event Log on the upper right corner of the screen[/p]
[p][/p][p]We'd love to emphasize again: If you still experience crashes after updating, please try running the game with DirectX 11!

Have a great week,[/p][p]

Co-op Kaiju Horror Cooking is OUT NOW!

[p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]
Would you look at the time?

.. is what I'd say if I had access to any form of easily portable clock in this time period.

Nevertheless, we should hurry! Those kaiju don't look like they're in the mood to wait.

Co-op Kaiju Horror Cooking is now live![/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]The game will be discounted for launch to allow even more folks to celebrate with us (as well as gather all of your loved ones to, erm, definitely not bop each other on the heads with rolling pins. Or run from rats. Or.. fling someone directly into the mouth of the beast, and whatnot. Something else, entirely.)

We're also excited to report that over the next couple of months, we'll be routinely updating with new additions to the game, including (but not limited to): level and tool updates, new ingredients, intriguing new game modes, and more! Keep an eye out for more details as we start to unveil what's in store.
[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Now let's see what you've got to offer![/p][p]
Happy cooking,
