  • [p]Reorganized and consolidated materials and shaders to reduce the overall pixel cost and texture memory consumption[/p]

  • [p]New Reload prompt appears when your magazine is empty[/p]
  • [p]Charged scope has a visual indicator for the charge while scoping a weapon[/p]
  • [p]Throwing weapons' aim is improved, with better accuracy assistance[/p]

  • [p]Fixed a timing issue in Unreal Engine's OpenXR plugin that could lead to frame stuttering or jittering hand movements[/p]
  • [p]Bouncepad orientation setting is now properly saved[/p]

  • [p]Ninja reload ability fixed[/p]
  • [p]Sheriff's Carbine scope view fixed[/p]

Patch 2 - more bugfixes and QoL improvements

[p]Hello Guardians![/p][p][/p][p]Two weeks after launch and it's time for Patch 2! Thank you all for your help in reporting bugs, giving us feedback, and enjoying the game.[/p][p] [/p][p]Patch Notes:[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where certain doors might close too early, preventing players from progressing[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where players might not spawn in the right position or orientation in the title menu[/p]
  • [p]Fixed jump pads not propelling players in the right direction if snap turn is used[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the flashlight not following vertical head movement[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the flashlight not working in left-handed mode[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where the player camera would start spinning and flying upwards uncontrollably if the player dies and is resurrected by the "Spare Head" artifact[/p]
  • [p]Stopped haptics from triggering during loading screens[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where the off hand ammo counter for dual wield weapons would still be visible in menus[/p]
  • [p]Ensure damage numbers over enemies always face the player[/p]
  • [p]Block loading of the OpenXR Toolkit layer by default as it instantly crashes the game on start[/p]
    • [p]For players who still want to try their luck, a command line switch [c]-openxrtoolkit[/c] can be added to the launch options to reenable the toolkit, but we cannot help or support you if you do this[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where a black square would be stuck to your head. (This primarily affected Pimax users and players who installed mbucchia's quad view XR layer)[/p][p][/p]

Patch 1 - Interactions system, black screen on launch, cinematics, + more

[p]Hello Guardians![/p][p][/p][p]Our first patch for Roboquest VR is now LIVE. We're happy to finally have a solid fix for the black screen at launch, as well as many of the other major issues you've reported.[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you for all the feedback! We're working tirelessly to ensure Roboquest VR is in its best state, and your comments help us greatly.[/p][p][/p][p]Major:[/p]
  • [p]Fixed multiple issues leading to loss of interaction, making player unable to open doors. This was especially noticeable on Commando and Elementalist classes. We're keeping an eye out for more instances of this - your reports help![/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where certain open xr runtimes and headset combinations lead to a black screen when launching the game[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where certain open xr runtimes and headset combinations lead to intense juddering and very low fps despite good performance - we still recommend Quest headsets connect directly with Meta Link Openxr Runtime for the best experience![/p]
  • [p]Fixed multiple issues where loading and cinematics had a black screen, loading screens juddering, sometimes getting the player stuck on loading[/p]
[p]Bugfixes:[/p]
  • [p]Fixed some of the minor rendering issues with Z fighting[/p]
  • [p]Snap turn no longer stops momentum[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where the 25 wrenches were not assigned after giving a review[/p]
  • [p]Improved performance for water areas (hello Oasis!)[/p]
  • [p]Scope is setup correctly on Gorilla Bolter and the Vulture Rifle[/p]
  • [p]Empty clip onomatopoeia no longer shows when disabled[/p]
  • [p]Empty clip sound is now tied to volume control[/p]
  • [p]The Collector's screen should no longer appear on the player HUD[/p]
  • [p]The pixel density (screen resolution) for all non-quest headsets now applies correctly. This will give you the ability to either boost the rendering quality or boost performance depending on your setup.[/p]
[p]Quality of life:[/p]
  • [p]Add gun horizontal angle setting + related localization[/p]
  • [p]Improved the comic book outline effect when MSAA is on[/p]
  • [p]Improvements to weapon swap[/p]

  • [p]Energy Center boss door closing on players before they enter[/p]

  • [p]Colorblind filters do not apply to all materials[/p]
  • [p]Performance issues, more aliasing in the basecamp[/p]
  • [p]Snap turn, or sometimes smooth turn, sometimes drives you off the path of the jump pads[/p]

[FIXED] Known Issue - Black Screen on Launch

[p]EDIT:[/p][p]Good news, Guardians! [/p][p]This known issue has been FIXED with Patch 1! Everyone should be able to launch the game without issue.[/p][p][/p][p]You can view all the fixes from Patch 1 in the patch notes here.[/p][p][/p][p]There may still be a few edge case issues - if you encounter those, please reach out via Discord or in the comments of this post.[/p][p][/p][p]ORIGINAL:[/p][p]Hey Guardians,[/p][p]We know some of you are experiencing a black screen when launching the game. We're working on a permanent fix for it right now, but in the meantime, we have some potential temporary fixes that might work for you! Changing your default VR runtime typically fixes this - instructions below![/p][p]These guidelines are headset-specific, so find your headset and follow the instructions for each:[/p]
  • [p]For Meta Quest using Link - Make sure Meta Quest Link is set as the default OpenXR runtime in the Meta Quest Link app. (Settings > General > Open XR Runtime)[/p]
  • [p]For Valve Index, set SteamVR as your active OpenXR runtime. (Steam VR > Settings > Open XR)[/p]
  • [p]For 3rd party apps like Virtual Desktop or Steam Link, use those runtimes as default.[/p]
[p]Overall, just make sure that you're using the best runtime for your headset![/p][p]We'll update with a permanent fix soon, but we know those robots aren't going to explode themselves.[/p]
