Updates (v0.38)

  • Added mouse controls to squad info screen
  • Added new monster (currently only seen in Gong challenge)

  • Changed tags for Bulwark (added Vanguard) and Archer (removed Vanguard, added Rogue)
  • Changed starting unit squad (removed one Archer, added one Bulwark)
  • Reduced Mortar Slime AoE range
  • Reduced slime enemy armor and slightly increased threat cost (i.e. fewer enemies)
  • Added additional player character attack bolts
  • Added starting discount to Vanguard units

  • Reset input bindings for savefiles created before "Squad Info" screen was added. You may need to re-map your bindings!
  • Fixed Rampage (incorrectly dealt too much damage to friendly units)
  • Attempted fix for exceeding stack caps
  • Added closing shortcuts (pause and back) to squad info screen
  • Tweaked timer between the two minimap tutorial beats
  • Removed white dot on unit portraits (mainly visible on Bone Rat)

  • Changed how respawn rate multiplier works (it's now just reflected in the total time, rather than impacting the timer speed)

  • Do not store malformed window sizes
  • Input rebinding sometimes incorrectly captured multiple keys of the same type
  • "Grit" was not doing anything
  • Limited the number of squad units that are displayed in the respawn queue, so that they do not overlap the minimap
  • Hide "more info" prompt when leaving recruitment screen

  • Added a new gamepad mapping (8BitDo Pro 2 for MacOS)

Difficulty settings

New features:
  • Added "Threat timer" setting (ability to change how long it takes for the hourglass to turn)
  • Added difficulty setting (affects starting stats for enemies)


Balancing:
  • Increased AoE cap to 7
  • Boss clears bad stacks when moving


Fixes:
  • Fixed input rebinding not being saved
  • Changes to stored window size management, attempting to prevent crashes and strange window position offsets


Misc:
  • Added a new gamepad mapping
  • Implemented updated Steam SDK
  • Upgrade Defold to 1.10.3

Explorer Mode

  • Added "Explorer Mode" (available in Gameplay settings) - this removes the hourglass threat feature, instead each floor has a pre-determined threat level
  • Added settings for FPS cap, Vsync, resetting tutorial, and reverting to default settings
  • Made price red in Wraith Vendor when an item is unaffordable
  • Added custom icon for Wraith Vendor on minimap

  • Tweaked item drop rates (fewer drops as many items are collected)
  • Tweaked reroll costs (item rerolls ramp up quicker)
  • Buffed Thorns
  • Capped AoE damage to affect at most 5 enemy units
  • Tweaked enemy spawning behaviour to prevent enormous clusters in unexplored areas
  • Don't reset threat hourglass between floors
  • Added damage/dodge reduction to Rampage
  • Reduced damage bonus for Zealot's Fury
  • Reduced length multiplier for Iron Shroud
  • Reduced amount for Ethereal Form
  • Reduce damage bonus for Ash Husk

  • Attempted fix for softlocking on squad recruitment screen
  • Fixed bug associated with Bone Golem bone nova
  • Made back button work in most menus
  • Changed how volume settings work to make the sliders more intuitive

Demo Patch

[p]First of all - thank you to everyone who played our demo! We are so happy with the positive reception so far. We are hard at work on the game, and first out is a patch to address some issues we've discovered in the demo.[/p][p][/p][h3]Change log [/h3]
  • [p] In Squad Upgrade when upgrading Recruitment Rank, empty purchase slots are now filled for free[/p]
  • [p] Rebalance item economy: Drop rates reduce over time, but shop prices scale slower[/p]
  • [p] Update keyboard key names to be more legible (e.g. ALT and R-ALT instead of LALT and RALT)[/p]
  • [p] Increase project resources to prevent crashes and text failing to render[/p]
  • [p] Reset dungeon data in between floors to prevent memory leak[/p]
