0.3 - The Viaducts - New Zone, Boss, Endgame Difficulty Rework, Tarot Reader

[p]Welcome Wastelanders to Version 0.3 - The Viaducts! We are thrilled to bring the next biome to you, and we can't wait to hear your feedback![/p][p]To kick us off here is a small update on the current roadmap and where we are at:
[/p][p][/p][p]With version 0.3 we didn't manage to finish the expanded meta progression, but its something we will keep working on for future updates, instead we spent time on our Fixing Updates that brought a lot of much needed fixes and improvements to the game that were lingering for quite some time, just to highlight one thing that we added from those patches, the new and glorious choice effects![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Now for the new stuff![/p]
The Viaducts
[p]Welcome to the Viaducts a deadly new biome ruled by the Aviators a flying gang looking to stop you on your journey. Face them off on The Viaducts as you ride above the beautiful radiated forest.[/p][p][/p][p] [dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p][/p][p]The Viaducts bring 7 new enemy archetypes, learn their strategies and weaknesses and take them down as you soar through the clouds![/p][p][/p][p]And at the end of the biome a new boss awaits the Air Raiders, don't want to say much about them, but the boss brings something new into the mix that will be interesting to see how you tackle.[/p][p][/p]
Endgame Difficulty Rework
[p]Instead of the old and boring Apocalypse Difficulties we now have a fully reworked system that allows you to customize your difficulty how you want. With various different settings! To access it you have to beat the world 3 boss once which unlocks the loading bay in the Hub. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Beat the game at certain thresholds to unlock more difficulty options and be able to load your train further, increasing the difficulty, and earning more cores![/p][p][/p][p]In future updates when we add train and player customization there will be unlockables that you can earn by beating the runs. Don't worry anything you complete now, you will get the rewards once they are added.[/p][p][/p]
Tarot Reader
[p]Now that we have a harder and more interesting difficulty system we want to give you more ways to spend your hard earned Cores.[/p][p][/p][p]Before you start your run, you can now buy various small buffs that will help you in your run. Either use these to help finish a hard milestone, make a better build to push some higher difficulty or just make a busted build![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Patch Notes

Additions/Balance
0.2.3 Patch Notes and Development Update

Development Update

Hey there conductors! We just wanted to share a bit our progress and where we are at with the next big update!
The 3 main features we are working on right now are world 3, a reworked difficulty system and different starting trains.
World 3
Don't want to spoil much but its shaping up to be quite awesome, here are a few sneak peeks so you can let your imagination go wild. This feature should arrive with the next major update.
Reworked difficulty System
We want to give players more reasons to replay the game and try to beat it at harder difficulties. So we want to give players more customization over their difficulty and in which ways they want to challenge themselves. This feature should arrive with the next major update.

Here is a sneak peek at the how it will look. This is just a work in progress UI page but you can maybe get an idea for where its going.
Different Starting Trains
We have been doing a bunch of experimentation and I think we've pinned down on how we want the system to work. I don't want to say much still as its something that won't be coming in the next update. But I'll still leave a small gif of one of the initial prototypes we had.
Patch Notes for Version 0.2.3
Balance/Additions
 • Added a new background variety system, random objects now get spawned in the background giving more visual variety. Also enemies can now hit cacti, boxes, barrels and take damage from them.
 • Added option to change background speed, this should help you enjoy the new assets we've added to the background but also help with motion sickness
 • Added support for tooltips that we will now be using more in the game
 • Various improvements to the Radar UI, should be a lot more clear and consistent when navigating through it
 • Added new image for the gambler location
 • Expanded the bug reporting UI, to allow the user to see the whole report.

Bugfixes
 • Fixed issue that allowed players to have 2 of the same module
 • Fixed issue where regenerative foam upgrade would heal the train even when between levels
 • Fixed various issues with Radar UI that would cause the selection to bug out
 • Fixed instances where game would not fade out after killing a boss
 • Fixed fps drop when killing chain crew enemies in World 2
