1.0 Release Announcement

[h3]Attention Station Commanders!
[/h3]We're pleased to announce that Outworld Station will be leaving Early Access with a huge 1.0 Update on May 5th, 2026.

We'd want to assure you all that this will NOT be the end of updates to the game - we still have a massive amount of awesome new stuff we want to add - but as this update will complete the main storyline and the game is very stable at this point, it only seems fitting to make it a 1.0 version.

  • Storyline: Complete the Arkship and Escape The Void
  • New Location: The Void: Event Horizon
  • New Module: Space Elevator: Lift high-value resources from a planet's surface
  • New Module: Laboratory: Research alternative and more efficient recipes for common items and parts
  • New Module: Recycler: Feed in unwanted resources in exchange for rewards
  • New Module: Teleporter: Fast travel between remote parts of your stations
  • New Module: Magnetic Accelerator Cannon
  • New Ships: Colossus Imperator Battlecruiser and Crusader Auxilliary Supply Ship
  • Overdrive Cores: Can be slotted into most production modules to significantly increase output
  • Steam Achievements: Lots of fun and challenging achievements to unlock
  • New Starting Locations when starting a new game
  • Can now Move existing buildings without selling or copying them

  • Revamped and updated User Interface and menus
  • New Photo Mode (F12) lets you take high-resolution screenshots at any angle and without the HUD
  • New Quantum Rifts now appear in the Junkyard Zone: Construct a new Quantum Extractor (Level 12) onto these to automate Exotic Matter extraction
  • Blueprints can now be added to the Hotbar
  • You can now double-click to load and save games in the main menu and in-game menu
  • An item's "Produced At" info can now show multiple places where an item can be manufactured in its tooltip
  • Items in the Codex now shows what an item is used to produce
  • Changed Mk 2 Pipe graphics to be easier to distinguish from a Mk 1 Pipe
  • Added an option in the Production Overview to show what you would need to satisfy all current production requirements at 100% efficiency
  • Production Overview settings now saved between sessions
  • If your drone respawns with no Neutron Lazer, the game will add one for you (if space)
  • Added "Auto Sort on Open" option for both station modules and player drone in Settings > User Interface menu
  • Added an additional colour tint option in a module's Advanced panel to display in the Status View
  • Added additional options for what to display when using the Status View at the top of the screen
  • Status View now shows if a storage has a filter applied on the icon (orange corner)
  • Status View now shows information on resource nodes in the Map View
  • Added a search bar in the Item Filters popup menu
  • Added info on Freighter Docks in the popup panel to show when a dock is switched off or unpowered
  • You can now manually drag and drop items into a disabled item slot
  • Added a Clear All Waypoints button in the Map View
  • Items now show a small icon in the corner if taking from your Quantum Storage
  • You can now Multi-Select ships and Sell or Align them to a grid
  • Added a Select Connected Modules option to the Multi-Select tool to select any connected modules
  • Added an Area Select feature to the Multi-Select tool (Hold ALT and left-drag)
  • Can now directly enter a number of items on the TODO-List popup
  • ExoPlanet Ops centre needs additional room between buildings now
  • Super-Alloy now requires only 3 x Tungsten and Titanium
  • Added "Advanced Blueprints" objective to increase Blueprint Max Objects and Max Area
  • Atomizing enemies now counts towards Search And Destroy missions
  • Objectives item amounts no longer clips to the required amount - now shows total available
  • Can now Area Select ships in the Multi-Select tool
  • Small Probe recipe now yields x 2 probes
  • Made some small changes to the Wormhole Terminus collision to allow it to be built on top of some other buildings
  • Armour Plating recipe now requires 2 x Depleted Uranium
  • Added REPAIR mode to the Multi-select tool to mass-repair modules
  • Re-added recipe info to the Codex
  • Added a "Recipe x 1" on factory item limits

  • Servitors no longer try to pick up Artifacts even when not assigned to
  • Typing a very long name for modules no longer expands the edit-box out of the game window
  • TODO list now includes items in your Quantum Storage
  • Build Items now update stored materials live when you leave your cursor hovered over them
  • Hotkeys now work on Quantum Storage > Filters correctly
  • Founding a new station now uses items in your Quantum Storage
  • The Select Objective popup no longer appears when all objectives have been completed
  • Fixed a bug with freighters sometimes not showing cargo graphics
  • Ships placed in space by a tug no longer get drawn into a fuel or ammo bay if they are too close
  • Fixed a bug when setting a pipe's Max Flow Rate to less than 100% not functioning correctly
  • Fixed a bug on Titania Gas Giant where floating parts would stay onscreen even after the object has been destroyed
  • Fixed a bug where combining stacks of equipment (e.g. Radiation Filters) would discard the extra items
  • Fixed an issue when building a blueprint which contains Vertical Connectors
  • Fixed a bug where Mk 2 Pipe appeared as an update to particle accelerator conduit
  • Fixed a bug where placing a junction onto Mk 2 Pipes downgraded them to Mk 1 Pipes
  • Selling an ExoPlanet Ops Centre now refunds materials spent on adding Bays correctly
  • Fixed a bug where the having many Containment Chambers/Quantum Storages became too loud
  • Particle Accelerator efficiency now displayed correctly on top panel with recipe selected
  • 1/2/3 on Hotbar now dissapears when slot is cleared
  • Fixed a bug where completing an objective used all of your resources of that type
  • Fixed an issue in tutorial and first auto-save
  • Can now directly swap equipment slots and equipment onto item slots
  • Objectives > Required items popups no longer go offscreen

  • Added "Arkship Terminal" Main Mission to Station Level 11: Construct the Arkship Terminal to start construction of the Intergalactic Arkship
  • You can now progress to Station Level 12 with the following new content:
    • New Location: The resource-rich earth-like moon of Helion
    • New Module: Component Factory: Constructs large ship and arkship parts that require a tug to install into waiting ships
    • New Module: Large Shipyard: Constructs the largest classes of starships
    • New Module: Exo-Planet Ops Centre: Deploys Planetary Lifters to collect resources from Helion's surface
    • New Module: Large Tug-Bay and Large Tugs: Can move larger ships around your station
    • New Module: Mk 3 Fuel Depot: Can supply antimatter fuel to a starship

  • New Pause System: You can now build, sell, upgrade and perform most actions while paused without any of the issues that appeared previously
  • Increased respawn % of exotic matter asteroids in the Junkyard Zone & Increased Exotic Matter asteroid yield
  • Improved resources gained from Atomizing enemies
  • Objectives that require other sub-objectives first can no longer be selected until they have been completed
  • "Reject" and "Complete" buttons on the objective window no longer overlap positions
  • Can now sort Item Filter List, Wormholes, Freighters, Freighter Docks and Power Linker lists alphabetically
  • Mk 2/3 Freighters when set to "only leave when full" setting will now leave a dock when either its gas or item storage is full

  • Drone Inventory filters now saved
  • Multiple waiting freighters will no longer clip into each other
  • Servitors dragging objects no longer collide objects into top-level of station
  • Upgrading multiple buildings with Status View active now shows new upgraded building's status icons correctly
  • No longer says "failed" when you reject an optional mission
  • Upgrading an inactive module correctly shows upgraded module's inactive state after upgrade
  • No longer displays empty build categories during earlier levels
  • Dragging multiple objects and enemies no longer insta-kills the enemies
  • Fixed an issue with loading screen tips not showing "hide upper level" keybinds correctly
  • When duplicating a building, swapping between Mk 1/2/3 no longer cancels copying links etc
  • Creating Tug links now works correctly with the Multi-Select tool
  • Fixed "Stratos Prospector" spelling error


Please note that currently Russian, Thai, Vietnamese and Portuguese (Brazil) languages are not fully complete for this update, and some parts of the Spanish language are placeholder and will be updated and improved ASAP - thanks for your patience with this.

  • Added intro cinematic showing the storyline setup.
  • Added Prologue mission/tutorial following your escape from the doomed Terra system.
  • Added the first chapter of the story "Welcome to the TAU system" charting your arrival and expansion in the mysterious TAU system.
  • All main mission briefings, debriefings and sub-objectives are now fully voiced (this is an early-access placeholder voice which will be replaced in the near future once the script is finalised).
  • Several Ship Classes have been changed to support mission structure
  • Made some large-scale optimisations to improve FPS when placing a new building on a very large station
  • Multiple Particle Accelerator Control Stations can no longer share the same Conduit Loop - only one can be active at a time
  • You can now set the Servitor Bot to collect "Wreckage" to gather debris on the Junkyard Zone
  • Equipment's recharge/reload state now shown on the Inventory


[h3]Fixes:[/h3]
  • Particle Accelerator visual effects no longer remain on-screen after being sold
  • Particle Accelerator graphics no longer visible in the Map View
  • Fixed several issue when editing item filters with the Drone Inventory and a Module's popup open
  • Fixed an issue where you could not select Priority 3 using the Mass Select Tool
