Today marks a special day in the development of Don’t Wake the Beast, as I can finally announce that my game has gained a publisher - better. publishing! [/p][p]The team (previously as better. gaming agency) has been helping me for a while now - first with Flooded and currently with Don’t Wake the Beast. When they decided to start a publishing label, for both parties it felt natural that my game would join their portfolio. Their new endeavour has just been announced at The MIX, together with a line-up of 2 other amazing games. From August 20–24, you’ll find us at the Indie Arena Booth, Arcade section, A13. Step inside  and try to survive the night without rousing the Beast. 🎮[/p][p]But the hunt doesn’t end there. The Beast will then cross the ocean to 🌊 PAX West 2025 in Seattle, USA – August 29 – September 1 – where it will lurk at Booth 1125 (Games from Poland). [p]Hey there, brave soul! So you’ve decided to dive into the ruins in Don’t Wake The Beast, huh? Cute. Let me walk you through what a “typical run” looks like - so when you’re sprinting for your life later, you can say, “At least someone warned me.” 😅[/p][p][/p][p]Step one: The calm before the chaos[/p][p]First things first - prep time! Before you set foot in those ruins, visit the merchant. Trust me, you’re gonna need those consumables. BUY THEM. And don’t forget your grappling hook’s loadout. 🪝

[/p][p]Step two: The road to the vault[/p][p]Now comes the fun part: the ruins. Beautiful architecture, rich history, and more death traps than you can imagine. Step wrong, and BOOM - you’re a cautionary tale. 💀[/p][p]Oh, and enemies? They’re everywhere, watching, waiting to ruin your day. Get spotted too many times, and guess what? They summon the Warden - an undead nightmare that will chase you until you hit the vault or die trying.


[/p][p]Step three: Grab the loot (but don’t get greedy)[/p][p]Every glittering treasure whispers your name - but here’s the catch: each piece you grab makes you heavier. More gold = slower you = easier snack for whatever’s hunting you. 🪙[/p][p][/p][p]So ask yourself: Do you want to be rich, or do you want to live?[/p][p]…Actually, scratch that - grab what you can and pray. 🙏

[/p][p][/p][p]Step four: The big prize[/p][p]Deep in the vault lies THE artifact. It’s shiny. It’s priceless. And, oh yeah - it’s guarded by a Beast the size of your worst nightmares. 🐲 You could try being sneaky, tiptoeing like a ballerina in chainmail… or you could YOLO and grab it.[/p][p][/p][p]Either way, when you take that artifact…[/p][p]The Beast wakes up.[/p][p]The floor trembles.[/p][p]And the game changes.

[/p][p][/p][p]Step five: RUN.[/p][p]Forget style. Forget honor. Just run like every bone in your body wants to live another day. 🏃‍♂️💨 Grapple across chasms, dodge fire breath, and whatever you do, don’t look back. You won’t like what you see.


[/p][p]Step six: Cash in, power up[/p][p]If by some miracle you make it out, congrats - you’re officially a legend. ✨ Sell your loot, stack that sweet grain, and upgrade your gear. Because let’s be honest: you’re going back in.
