MEET the PB-7 "Albatross"!

[p]Hello, soldiers![/p][p]Today I'm taking you into the world of high-seas patrol![/p][p]When radar technology wasn't yet widespread, the ability to fly over large expanses of sea for hours and land on them was invaluable to navies of all nations.[/p][p]The best example of this type of aircraft was undoubtedly the PB-7 "Albatross" seaplane![/p][p][/p][p]Of course, this isn't its original name. Can you tell me?[/p][p][/p][p]The role this aircraft will have on the battlefield is clear: to search for anything that floats and never let it float again![/p][p]This slow and clumsy seaplane can carry a team of three soldiers: one pilot and two gunners.[/p][p]One gunner will sit in front of the pilot, giving him an excellent view of the targets. The other gunner will be at the rear and will be able to alternate between the two flanking positions, thus covering a huge area. If necessary, a fourth crew member can be added and a rear machine gun can be added to each of the two tail gunners.[/p][p]The pilot can rely on a dual 12.7 mm machine gun, exactly the same caliber as the others, to shoot down small enemies.[/p][p]What makes the Albatross so dangerous, however, are its other two types of weapons: torpedoes and depth charges![/p][p]The PB-7 pilot can rely on two standard torpedoes to hit large vessels or surfaced submarines, and four depth charges to hit submerged submarines.[/p][p][/p][p]In this aircraft, the pilot's ability to hit the target will be crucial! Calculating the target's speed and picking the right moment to release a device that will take a considerable amount of time to hit is not something every pilot can master![/p][p][/p][p]In general, do you like the possibility of sinking ships and submarines using aircraft?[/p][p]Of course, you'll see modern aircraft fill these niche roles in the future.[/p][p][/p][p]If you have any questions, feel free to ask.[/p][p]Questioning my gameplay ideas is the best way to build an even better one![/p][p][/p][p]Will we have the next MEET in a vehicle? A tank? A mech? A ship? A boat? A submarine? A plane? A helicopter? Who knows![/p][p][/p][p]Happy New Year to all, my brothers-in-arms![/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG!
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]

MEET the "Warlord"!

[p]Hello, soldiers![/p][p]Here we are after the Christmas break, fatter and more playful than ever![/p][p]To restart the MEET series, I propose a legend of the military world, a staple, a must-see on this journey of steel and fuel: the "Warlord"![/p][p][/p][p]Everyone, at least once in their life, has seen the real version of this tank.[/p][p]Although almost everyone knows the name, many will get the "number" next to it wrong. Which version is it, roughly?[/p][p][/p][p]As with any other vehicle, I will adapt the size and armament to the needs of the gameplay, but for now, its characteristics are as follows.[/p][p]There will be three crew members: the driver and two side gunners.[/p][p]The driver, in addition to carrying his teammates to certain death, will be able to use a small front cannon, I think a 40 mm.[/p][p]The two side gunners will be able to use a 75 mm cannon and a 7.62 mm machine gun. The catch is that the cannon's firing arc can only cover the front 90° and the machine gun's rear 90°, so the former will be used for breakthroughs and the latter for protection.[/p][p][/p][p]The Warlord will be one of the first heavy tanks available, along with the A7V.[/p][p]Guys, there will be a lot of tanks in this game, so get ready![/p][p][/p][p]Now, a couple of questions:[/p][p]1) In your dream game, how do you envision the division between light, medium, and heavy tanks? Feel free to discuss this further.[/p][p]2) In your opinion, should the unlock cost of a light tank be lower than that of a heavy tank? Or should the cost be the same and the vehicle should be equally "competitive" with the heavy tank?[/p][p][/p][p]See you at the next MEET![/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG!
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]

MEET the Mi-24 "Bruiser"!

[p]Hi fellows![/p][p]As we approach that magical Christmas, I'd like to introduce you to a tough guy from the coldest and harshest lands on the planet: the Mi-24 "Bruiser" heavy attack helicopter![/p][p]I'm actually torn between "Boris" and "Bruiser". Which do you recommend?[/p][p][/p][p]This beast is halfway between a tank and a helicopter![/p][p]I've always wanted to include it in one of my games, but I've never gotten around to it, so this time I've decided to include it from launch![/p][p][/p][p]The Bruiser, at least for now, is the most armored and most heavily armed helicopter in the game, a true master of its field.[/p][p]That doesn't mean it's the best in every field, though! It's slow and inflexible, and, for example, the AH-64's anti-tank missiles are supposed to have a longer range.[/p][p]There are two crew positions: the pilot and the gunner.[/p][p]Both will be damn dangerous![/p][p]I'd like to tell you which weapons have which roles, but I'm not sure yet. I'll have to check during gameplay, so for now I'll just list the possible weapons and you can tell me what combination you think is optimal for the two roles.[/p][p]Also, IMPORTANTLY, for very important aircraft like this, I'd like to introduce variants, i.e., differently armed models. What do you think?[/p][p][/p][p]Here are the weapons it could carry:[/p][p]- 70 mm high-explosive rockets[/p][p]- 127 mm high-explosive rockets[/p][p]- 127 mm incendiary rockets[/p][p]- 127 mm armor-piercing rockets[/p][p]- anti-tank missiles[/p][p]- anti-aircraft missiles[/p][p]- 50 kg bombs[/p][p]- 100 kg bombs[/p][p]- twin cannon firing 40 mm shells (for the driver)[/p][p]- 20-30 mm rotary cannon mounted on a turret (for the gunner)[/p][p][/p][p]If you imagine two versions, tell me how you would arrange them, considering that each of the two positions (driver and gunner) can carry a maximum of three weapons each.[/p][p][/p][p]Would you be interested in an even heavier version with a third crew member covering the lower and rear sections?[/p][p][/p][p]Another question: in your opinion, should identical weapons on different vehicles/aircraft have the same characteristics or not? For example, if two aircraft are equipped with the same missile, is it better for the missile to have the same characteristics in both cases?[/p][p][/p][p]I know there are several questions, so please try to answer them all each time so the game will be more accessible to everyone![/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG!
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]

About the first DEMO...

[p]Hello, brothers![/p][p]I know many of you are eagerly awaiting the first HWB Demo, and honestly, I'm one of you, but unfortunately, it's not that close yet.[/p][p]There have been some delays due to development and personal difficulties, which have pushed me away from the deadlines I had set.[/p][p]Unfortunately, when you work alone, a personal slowdown slows down the entire project :D[/p][p][/p][p]However, no one here gives up![/p][p]No one gives up, gentlemen![/p][p]Before I get down to developing all the features needed for the Demo, I still have to finish a few features common to the entire game; for example, I'm currently developing the TV-guided missile system.[/p][p][/p][p]Since I prefer to know things in advance, I'd like to ask you a few questions about some aspects of the first Demo that could change the gaming experience.[/p][p]You'll have understood that I care about making a product as close to the end user as possible, which is why the end user needs to talk to me :D[/p][p][/p][p]Important clarification: multiplayer will not be available in any demo, but it will be in some tests I'll do over time, and I'll let you know.[/p][p]The reason is simple: money![/p][p]Although the game uses local hosts and not dedicated servers, the service I use to run multiplayer is paid, so I can't afford to include multiplayer in the demo—sorry, brothers.[/p][p][/p][p]1) Roughly speaking, at first glance, how do you imagine the gameplay of the first HWB demo would be?[/p][p][/p][p]2) What are the minimum elements that would make the demo acceptable for you?[/p][p][/p][p]3) I was thinking of only making the first weapon and vehicle unlocks available, meaning only those related to WW2. What do you think?[/p][p][/p][p]4) How many insect and dinosaur units would be enough for you? I was thinking about 4-5 land-based, 2 aquatic, and 1-2 flying? Are they enough? Obviously, the more I add, the longer the development time will last.[/p][p][/p][p]5) I was thinking of releasing two maps, both exclusive to the Demo, which would then be deleted. This way, they can be less polished and more easily modified according to your suggestions. My idea was to make one map in a home environment and another closer to the real Battlefield style, like an island, to better exploit the aquatic units.[/p][p][/p][p]6) I still have to see what the best gameplay form for HWB will be, but I was thinking of including at least two modes: one similar to Battlefield Conquest and the other to Battlefield Rush/Breach. Okay?[/p][p][/p][p]7) When will the first Demo be released? I sincerely hope before June 2026. As I said before, since I'm alone, if I have an impediment, the whole development process will be halted.[/p][p][/p][p]Unfortunately, this time I can't afford to make mistakes, so please help me with development and by spreading the game.[/p][p]If HWB doesn't sell enough to support me, Insane Dreamers will most likely close and I'll have to change careers.[/p][p]I'm working hard to prevent this from happening and to ensure we can have many, many more years of fun together![/p][p][/p][p]If you have any questions and/or suggestions, now is the perfect time to ask![/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG!
MEET the Anti-Tank Mech MH-2 "Anvil"!

[p]Hello, my friends![/p][p]Today, we return to the world of mechs and introduce you to one of the anti-tank mechs, the MH-2 "Anvil"![/p][p]I think the name gives you an idea of how tough this big guy is![/p][p][/p][p]The MH-2 Anvil is a military vehicle specialized in the search and destruction of anything armored.[/p][p]This mech is designed for a crew of two: the first is the driver and has the vehicle's heaviest weapons, while the second is the gunner, who is also capable of unleashing considerable firepower, but is primarily designed to monitor the perimeter and rear of the Anvil.[/p][p][/p][p]The driver has at his disposal:[/p][p]- a dual 40 mm cannon, with high-velocity, non-explosive armor-piercing rounds, perfect for piercing enemy armor.[/p][p]- a launcher of large, very powerful anti-tank missiles.[/p][p]- an unguided, explosive, non-armor-piercing rocket launcher, perfect for killing anything that emerges from a burning vehicle![/p][p][/p][p]The gunner, in his cute turret, has:[/p][p]- a 20mm cannon, with standard and armor-piercing rounds.[/p][p]- a multiple-missile launcher that allows him to launch TV-guided or homing devices. What do you recommend?[/p][p][/p][p]Like its sibling, the MH-1 mech, the Anvil also has its biggest advantage, which is also its biggest disadvantage: its height.[/p][p]Being a behemoth several meters tall, it can see threats from considerable distances, but so can the enemies.[/p][p]The armor and countermeasures will certainly do their job, but if I were you, I wouldn't enter the fray blindly; I'd prefer to fight at medium range.[/p][p][/p][p]In the coming weeks, I'll also show you the anti-aircraft and anti-infantry versions, so don't miss these MEETS![/p][p][/p]
QUESTION OF THE DAY:
[p]Would you consider the single-player or the co-op multiplayer PV component more important?[/p][p]I'd love to have 1,000,000 players in the multiplayer mode, but the resources are limited, and this is my first multiplayer game.[/p][p]So, if I'm doing my best to get the player count as high as possible, would you be okay with only having 4 players if I can't?[/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG!
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
