MEET the "Thor" + Artillery aiming system

[p]Hello, soldiers![/p][p]Today, I present to you the "Thor"![/p][p]Thor is a self-propelled artillery gun that fires 155 mm high-explosive shells.[/p][p]The evocative name is temporary, but if the community likes it, it could remain the service name.[/p][p]Although still in development, this powerful artillery piece has a five-round magazine that can fire in rapid succession, after which it must perform a moderate reloading.[/p][p]Intelligence is evaluating whether to equip this vehicle with other types of shells besides high-explosive ones. What do you think?[/p][p]Being an artillery vehicle, the Thor must remain in the rear, but thanks to its armor, it can withstand some enemy fire while waiting for reinforcements, as it has no defensive weapons to protect it.[/p][p][/p][p]What about the artillery targeting system in the game?[/p][p]As you can see in the photos, right-clicking will open a sort of minimap that will allow you to see a bird's-eye view of the area of the map you can target.[/p][p]For those curious, I was inspired by the artillery truck from BF4, which I thought was pretty cool... at least until they figured out where you were.[/p][p]Obviously, there's some dispersion to take into account due to the inaccuracy of the shots, which will vary depending on the vehicle and the distance to the target.[/p][p]If you have any thoughts on this system, now is the best time to talk about it.[/p][p]I really want to tell you that since I really love everything artillery-related, I'll take special care in its implementation, so that its use is as satisfying as possible for the player![/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG!
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]

MEET the "Formica rufa"!

[p]Hello, soldiers![/p][p][/p][p]The Formica rufa, often called the "red ant" (but it's not the only one), is one of the insects in "Home Wars: Battlefield".[/p][p]This ant is small and fast, but despite its size, it has two powerful weapons. It can attack its enemies with its classic bite, but also with a secret weapon: formic acid![/p][p]The Formica rufa is one of the few insects in the world capable of throwing a dangerous substance it produces at its opponent, which creates a corrosive effect on the enemy's body.[/p][p]Alone, it may not be dangerous, but a group of Formica rufa is definitely not to be underestimated![/p][p]Therefore, when you come across this opponent, eliminate it as soon as possible, before it can become a serious threat![/p][p]The model of the toy soldier next to it gives you a better idea of the size of your enemy (which you can use yourself); however, there may be some change in the size of all units as the game develops.[/p][p][/p][p]Lately, I've been trying to make my way onto X and TikTok, too, to recruit as many soldiers as possible for this tough battle. So, if you're there, it would be great if you liked my posts and commented on them, so the algorithm knows my content is potentially valuable.[/p][p]Thank you all for your support, my friends![/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD ANT IS A DEAD ANT!
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]

NAVAL HUNTING!

[p]Hello, soldiers![/p][p][/p][p]Today I'm sharing some screenshots of the naval gameplay, which I haven't fully developed yet, but it's just to give you an idea of what you'll find.[/p][p][/p][p]In the images, you can see:[/p][p]- a WW2 submarine that has just spotted another submarine and is preparing to fire a pair of torpedoes at it.[/p][p]- a WW2 submarine that has managed to take a WW2 destroyer from the side and is preparing to torpedo it.[/p][p]- the usual WW2 submarine that has intercepted a modern submarine from below and is studying the best method to sink it.[/p][p][/p][p]By the way, the modern submarine is strategic, meaning it's incapable of attacking other submarines, but it's devastating against land or naval surface targets.[/p][p]Let me know if you like the underwater atmosphere I've created; the details are still missing, and Terrano is the one I use for testing, so it's very simple and monochrome.[/p][p]It won't be easy to develop balanced underwater gameplay, but, along with your advice, I'll give it my all, as I always have![/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD WATER BUG IS A DEAD WATER BUG!
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]

Giant Spider (Trichonephila senegalensis)!!!

[p]Hello, soldiers![/p][p][/p][p]I'm showing you the first giant spider; it won't be the only one, and spiders won't be the only ones that are oversized... It's going to be fun![/p][p][/p][p]These guys are going to be tough to take down, and they'll hurt you badly if you get too close to their icky little legs.[/p][p][/p][p]As you can see in the images below, if you manage to do so, you'll be able to mount each creature and kill it, feeling like the "Rico" of the situation.[/p][p][/p][p]If you have any questions, comment below, and add "Home Wars: Battlefield" to your wishlist![/p][p]My friends, this time it's going to be fun...[/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG!
[p][/p][p][/p]

How do you imagine the new cover?

[p]Hello, soldiers![/p][p]I have created a lot of models (vehicles, planes, helicopters, ships, submarines, mechs, static defenses), so I am getting closer to creating the real cover of this game.[/p][p]I still have a low variety of models related to insects and dinosaurs, because I want to develop the combat system first.[/p][p][/p][p]Considering this progress in graphics, I can start thinking about how to set up the real cover of "Home Wars: Battlefield".[/p][p][/p][p]Although I already have some ideas, I would like to brainstorm with you to see if we can come up with even better ones.[/p][p][/p][p]Consider that the main insects of HW1 will be there, but there will be many others, that there will be the most iconic dinosaurs, and that there will be both home maps and "real" maps like those of Battlefield, obviously with lower quality.[/p][p][/p][p]Every idea is welcome, even the most extravagant![/p][p][/p][p]In the answers, specify both the background and the various colors of the title.[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you so much to everyone who will participate in this discussion
