Dev Log #02 | From Next Fest to Early Access: Our Plan

[p]Hail, Cosmonauts![/p][p]Since Next Fest, we've received a ton of feedback from players—not just praise, but also suggestions that have given us lots to consider. Thank you to everyone for supporting Cubic Cosmos![/p][p][/p][p]During this time, we've continued to update and improve the demo while also sorting out content for the Early Access version.[/p][p]In accordance with our original plan, we've arrived at a version that we're satisfied with in terms of playability and experience.[/p][p]But we don't want to settle for "satisfied"; we want the Early Access version to have that "one-more-turn" quality that keeps players coming back for more. That's why we've decided to further expand and polish the game so we can create a version with even better pacing and content.[/p][p][/p]
What Will Be In The Early Access Version?
1. [p]More Cards and Classes[/p][p]The three main classes are being further polished. At time of release we plan to have 10 heroes and over 200 cards available.[/p]
 2. [p]More Gameplay Modes[/p][p]Gameplay Mode 1: Tutorial + fixed boss chapters + multiple higher difficulty random boss chapters.[/p][p]Gameplay Mode 2: Daily challenges.[/p]
 3. [p]Mastery Mode[/p][p]Similar to an "endless mode", Mastery Mode will be available upon completing a run.[/p]
 4. [p]Controller Support[/p][p]Support for Steam Deck and gamepads.[/p]
 5. [p]Achievements[/p][p]Base achievements, challenge achievements and exploration achievements.[/p]
 6. [p]Doll System[/p][p]Major improvements and new features for the Doll system.[/p]
 7. [p]Improved UI, Sound Effects, Animations[/p][p]Thank you to everyone who made us aware of issues they experienced during the demo. We're working to update the UI and improve sound effects and animations.[/p]
 8. [p]More Detailed Interactions[/p]
[p]This chart should help everyone understand the differences between each version. As you can see, the new version doesn't just mean more content, but a more complete game overall.[/p][p][/p]
Demo Still Available
[p]We're now working flat out on the new version of the game. We'll be carrying out playtesting before it launches, so watch this space![/p][p]The current Steam demo will continue to be available, and we welcome you to keep playing and offering your suggestions.[/p][p]You're also welcome to join our Discord and chat directly with the developers.
