Cubic Cosmos Demo Period Has Ended—Next Stop, Next Fest!

Hail, Cosmonauts!

With the end of Eastern Game Fest, the current Cubic Cosmos demo period has ended as of May 6.
The next demo period will be part of Steam Next Fest in June. Thank you for your patience!

We'd also like to share some concept art with you, giving you a sneak peek into the world of Cubic Cosmos.

In the meantime, we'll keep on working to polish the game. We hope you'll enjoy it even more next time!

Cubic Cosmos Demo Patch Notes v0.0.9.43

Hail, Cosmonauts! This update fixes a number of issues and improves game visuals. See below for details:

Update Details
  1. Fixed an issue where frozen visual effects would continue to stack.
  2. Fixed an issue where after switching out a card in a Doll obtained for clearing a run, the card would display a different player's name in the next run (only applies to newly created Dolls).
  3. Fixed an issue where you could refresh Doll cards by repeatedly saving and loading.
  4. Fixed an issue where Gold Blessing would occasionally fail to trigger the Lucre visual effect and refresh the Lucre value.
  5. Fixed an issue where Thralls summoned by Fission would continuously launch Follow Up attacks.
  6. Fixed an issue where quickly refreshing the Shop had a chance to cause trait explanation text to remain on screen.
  7. Fixed an issue where going from the victory screen to the main menu could cause interface problems.
  8. Fixed an issue where card models would be erroneously enlarged with certain deck shuffling visual effects.
  9. Fixed an issue where cards that gained the Boiling trait would not display the corresponding burning visual effect.
  10. Improved hiding timing for the hero skill visual effect box.

Cubic Cosmos is Part of June's Steam Next Fest!



Hail, Cosmonauts!
The Cubic Cosmos demo has now been online for one week! Thank you for playing, and thanks for your feedback and suggestions, which have helped us to uncover many issues and make a number of improvements. Over the past few days, we've continued to release fixes to improve your gaming experience.
The current demo will be available until May 6. If you haven't experienced Cubic Cosmos yet, now's your chance—and please feel free to provide your feedback and suggestions!

The next demo will be released as part of June's Steam Next Fest, and will include a major update to the game. The current plan is as follows:
1. Releasing Blue cards (magic) in select scenarios, adding more enemies, bosses, and Relics.
2. Improving stage pacing and deckbuilding experience, increasing strategic depth and enjoyment.
3. Fully implementing finished art assets and replacing all placeholder cards.
4. Differentiating the gameplay experience for different heroes.
5. Improving the Doll system to make obtaining and using Dolls more convenient.
6. Improving interactions for more intuitive gameplay and a smoother experience.
7. Complete overhaul and upgrade of sound effects.

We're working hard to polish the game, and we hope you'll enjoy a more complete and even more fun version of Cubic Cosmos as part of Steam Next Fest!

  1. Fixed a low-level mechanism issue that could lead to disorganized skill effects; this was most noticeable when using the hero skill Assimilation.
  2. Fixed an issue where cards hidden within equipped Dolls might not be displayed properly at the Shop.
  3. Fixed an issue where Dolls would not be saved if you quit immediately after clearing a stage and obtaining a Doll.
  4. Fixed an issue where purchased Doll cards could disappear from the Shop after saving and loading.
  5. Fixed an issue where the "From" notification would not be displayed for certain Doll cards in the Shop.
  6. Fixed a model issue when Vanguard summons Dragonhunter.
  7. Fixed an issue where the Amber skill would occasionally not take effect.
  8. Fixed an issue where Provocation II would trigger twice.
  9. Fixed a number of model height issues.

  3. Fixed an issue where Auto and Mobilize pawns could not be selected from your hand in certain circumstances.
  4. Fixed an issue where pawns would erroneously respawn after attacking multiple times in certain circumstances.
  5. Fixed an issue where trait descriptions would not be displayed correctly when viewing cards in the Codex.
  6. Fixed an issue where you could not right-click cards to see creatables in the Shop.
  7. Fixed an issue where continuous fast-motion bullet effects could cause models to be knocked crooked.
  8. Fixed an issue where quitting your run when animations are triggered at the start of battle could cause problems.
  9. Fixed an issue where enemy card models were inconsistent inside and outside of certain stages.
  10. Fixed an issue where erroneous trait text would appear for pawns in certain circumstances.
  11. Fixed an issue where card selection status would not be displayed correctly after the hidden event in the Sacrificial Altar stage.
  12. Fixed an issue where Exasperation would not grant Shrapnel.
  13. Hailstorm effects will now appear on pawns with the Can't Attack and Follow Up traits.
