Beta Update 0.7.4.6

[p]Hello everyone, [/p][p][/p][p]Another update for the Beta version of the game. A few more things to tune up to complete 0.7.5 for everyone planned for Tuesday next week. [/p][p][/p][p]We added the first iteration of engine/thruster sounds, will be improved upon. Let us know what you think. There's a separate slider in the audio settings for tweaking their volume.[/p][p][/p][p]Added/Changed[/p][p]- New ship: Redeemer-Class Frigate (Spirit Design) - Medium Drone Bay[/p][p]- New Meridia's Chosen ship to encounter: Nevaros-Class Corvette[/p][p]- New Meridia's Chosen ship to encounter: Valdrax-Class Frigate[/p][p]- New weapon: Medium Railcaster (Redstar Forge) (just a railcannon which fires a burst of projectiles)[/p][p]- Change name of small plasma repeater to Plasma Spitter (since small and medium had the same name) - will apply to newly generated items[/p][p]- Removed item from shops (on next refresh): Refund Skill Trees[/p][p]- Added a Refund All Skills button to the skilltree panel (only usable when docked with a station)[/p][p]- Added HUD element during Industrial Ops that shows the status of repairs and ammo even while you're not near the station[/p][p]- Added extra Hazard Protection to drones, reducing damage taken from environmental hazards by 50% and prevents them from panicking while taking environmental damage[/p][p]- Added another enemy faction to patrol/bounty/industrial missions, in the last 3 sub-sectors[/p][p]- Added another enemy faction to the normal Eliminate enemy mission[/p][p]- Changed some mission descriptions, added dynamic ones as flavour for some of the infinite missions[/p][p]- Increased the chance purple blueprints spawning in Forge Industries shops[/p][p]- Added different descriptions to bounty and patrol missies.[/p][p]- Changed some captains names to be different (more lore friendly)[/p][p]- Added option to tell ECHO what loadout you're using. Mostly useful for mixed loadouts or if you only want it to do delivery missions. [/p][p]- Improved ECHO's targetting behaviour when there are targets available for the current loadout in the POI[/p][p]- Aspects extracted in the Workshop are now stackable in your cargo / armory[/p][p]- Started adding some side thruster sounds (starts at 40% volume in audio settings) - Main engine sound as a placeholder/temp[/p][p]- Railcannons have a small amount of recoil[/p][p]- Added Canisec patrols that can show up at random[/p][p]- Hiding the UI also hides all floating text, like damage numbers (Hotkey Shift + Z)[/p][p]- Added version of the game to the sidemenu[/p][p]- Added Mute all audio option and hotkey Ctrl + M[/p][p]- Music for new players starts at 40% volume in audio settings[/p][p]- Whenever you switch your ship, non essential items will be transfered into the armory and materials (ammo, some deployables and warpfuel will remain with the ship)[/p][p]- Added a move to cargo button to the inventory (when in armory or materials inventory)[/p][p]- Improved move to armory, to transfer over more item you likely won't need (same logic as switch to ship)[/p][p][/p][p]Balance[/p][p]- Small Railcannons no longer penetrate, but the firerate has been increased[/p][p]- Medium Railcannons have penetration dropoff built in[/p][p]- Mining ability Power Surge Module changed to be longer, but less power.[/p][p]- Skill Improved Wreck Analyzer changed from 2 to 3 max points (making it possible to salvage more items)[/p][p]- Raptor: Changed ship reputation requirement from Friendly to Neutral (Orsanon Security)[/p][p]- Reactor: Increased base output, reduced output bonus gained from rarity[/p][p][/p][p]Fixes[/p][p]- Possible performance improvement to prevent the game's FPS tanking on longer play sessions. Please let us know if you still run into this issue.[/p][p]- Fix for core mining getting stuck on empty asteroids[/p][p]- Improved target selection for mining autocannon and chunks breaking off from surface are more proportionate so the surface should never completely dissapear. Should deal with instances where they were shooting empty space.[/p][p]- Fix for ships without hardpoints trying to drop loot from hardpoint, causing them to become indestructible[/p][p]- Fix for enemy miners preventing you from travelling[/p][p]- Fix for ECHO babbling on after you cancel travel[/p][p]- Fix for ECHO's chatter blocking the map[/p][p]- Fixed Clearing Construction Site mission[/p][p]- Ship refreshes properly when changing drone loadout, so all selected drones will properly function if targets are available[/p][p]- Salvaging no longer automatically extracts items that are "unavailable" (require extra investment in Salvage skill tree)[/p][p]- Laser Mining Drones are no longer discouraged by Core Mining Drones in a mixed drone loadout[/p][p]- Fixed salvage content respawning after completing "Salvage Wreck" dynamic missions[/p][p]- Removed possibility for "Craft 0 items" dynamic missions, that's a bit too easy.[/p][p]- Crew member level up immediately provides the promised benefit and no longer requires a save/load to function[/p][p]- Prevented equipment from ending up in Materials storage while unequipping[/p][p]- Fixed some ship hardpoints in the hangar/shipyard that were difficult to hover over[/p][p]- Fixed Healthbars having a collider, making it sometimes more difficult to select a unit[/p][p]- Fixed 'Bonus skillpoint received' description of side missions even after the skillpoint reward has already been claimed[/p][p]- Fixed spelling of some texts[/p][p][/p][p]Known issues[/p][p]- Drone carriers do not play well with moving through a jumpgate while drones are deployed at the moment. [p]Hello everyone, [/p][p][/p][p]Another update for the Beta version of the game. Final push now to complete this update and bring out 0.7.5 for everyone in little over a week. It's great to see so many new players as well. We're very happy to be able to bring our game to so many people. We're are excited for what's coming in future updates. [/p][p][/p][p]Added/Changed[/p][p]- New music added: Homesick (by Firefly)[/p][p]- Lootbox shuffles its items before opening[/p][p]- Increased space in which reinforcements can spawn at the player position[/p][p]- You can now right-click to unassign skillpoints, like you would with assigning them (whenever you are docked at a station)[/p][p]- Added drone slots to Ship Information[/p][p]- The Forge will remember your latest input if in the meantime the max amount changes[/p][p]- Added Industrial skill which lets you craft items 6 levels above your captain level[/p][p]- Added some aspect improvements in the workshop[/p][p]- ECHO will try to get fuel from the armory or shop if the Warp Fuel Assist skill is active. [/p][p][/p][p]Fixes[/p][p]- Fixed workshop items updating their spent credits correctly[/p][p]- Fixed shop generating the correct blueprint items[/p][p]- Fixed Locked Container from prologue area causing the game to not save in the sandbox area[/p][p]- Improved clean up of effects[/p][p]- Fixed issue with structural salvage where completely salvaging the target could leave the salvaging ship or drones in salvaging state[/p][p]- Fixed a whole bunch of balancing bugs with Drones - they had far too high critical chance and yield by accident[/p][p]- Fixed targeting while having a mining or salvage drone equipped on a combat ship[/p][p][/p][p]Added/Changed[/p][p]- Added some Faction Reputation Bonuses[/p][p]- Added Fuel Cell blueprints[/p][p]- Changed names of fuel cells to make it more clear[/p][p]- The Locked Containers no longer spawn in the prologue area[/p][p]- New weapon[/p][p]- ECHO can now deposit blueprints, aspects and locked containers in the armory[/p][p]- Added a key that can drop as loot, which can be used to open locked containers for free[/p][p][/p][p]You can find out about how to get the beta version in the news article about the beta test.[/p][p]If you find anything annoying / interesting bugs or just want to give your opinion.
