Beta Update 0.7.7.4

[p]Hello everyone,[/p][p][/p][p]A few fixes for yesterday's patch.[/p][p][/p][h3]Update availability[/h3][p]This update is still under active development. As such, it is only available if you switch to the beta branch of Vanguard Galaxy to test out these new changes. Instruction on how to install the beta updates can be found at the bottom of this post.[/p][p][/p][p]Added/Changed[/p][p]- Added details of traded items to Trade Goods tooltips (bought and sold at Intertrade). This will become part of the Economy skilltree in a future patch.[/p][p][/p][p]Balance[/p][p]- Critical Recursion skill changed - Changed to a stack of 3, each giving an additional chance to trigger. In addition, Officers will be able to get this skill. This has been changed as critical hits hit very hard when stacked. Still possible, but with more investment needed if building around critical hits.[/p][p][/p][p]Fixes[/p][p]- Adjusted total skill point cap to 120 (was 119 by accident)[/p][p]- Fixed space ship salvage potentially giving way too high level equipment[/p][p]- Fixed some problems in salvage creation that could cause an immortal "ghost" ship to persist[/p][p]- Fixed mercenary in repair causing travel to bug out[/p][p]- Clearer objective description when needing to infect stations[/p][p]- Fixed weird skilltree behaviour when switching ships with the skilltree UI open[/p][p]- Fixed patrol and bounty rank inconsistency between the boards and captain overview and added industry rank[/p][p][/p][p]And as always, if you find any annoying / interesting bugs or just want to give your opinion. [p]Hello everyone,[/p][p][/p][p]We have another patch with a bunch of additions, notably more story continuation with new mechanics, skill loadouts and lots more. Enjoy![/p][p][/p][h3]Update availability[/h3][p]This update is still under active development. As such, it is only available if you switch to the beta branch of Vanguard Galaxy to test out these new changes. Instruction on how to install the beta updates can be found at the bottom of this post.[/p][p][/p][p]Added/Changed[/p][p]- Added Forge Overdrive II skill to the Industrial tree, 2 stacks granting +4 crafting levels[/p][p]- Medium ships can now dock at docking tubes (as well as the regular landing pads)[/p][p]- Added option to create skill loadouts [/p][p]- Added a simple mercenary introduction mission (sending you to the Omnitac Agency Embassy to get acquainted with them)[/p][p]- Having a mercenary gives you slow reputation gain with Omnitac Agency. Better reputation gives the merc faster repair speeds.[/p][p]- Salvage wrecks from combat now contain items that the killed unit had equipped[/p][p]- Added gold and silver borders to faction icons (map) for Embassy and HQ stations[/p][p]- Added some new story missions[/p][p]- Added the Umbral control mechanic, Umbral Missions, and Umbral Shop. Help Umbral Reach expand their control over the Ara Martis, and reap the rewards![/p][p]- Added hacking and sabotage tools for the Umbral Shop: Umbral Hacking Tool, Decoy Transponder, Cargo Scanner Bot, Tracking Tag Bot[/p][p]- Added the Large Cannon recipe, and it can now be bought in the appropriate shops[/p][p]- Added shift + left or right click to assign/unassign all possible points in a skill[/p][p][/p][p]Balance[/p][p]- Further reduced cost of the new "Material Mining Claim" items down to the intended value[/p][p]- Reduced requirements of "Trade Terminal" missions by at least 50%[/p][p]- "Trade Terminal" missions never require more items than would fit in the cargo hold of your largest ship (another mission would be generated instead)[/p][p]- When damaged and leaving, mercenaries will return after a short period of repair to complete their contract[/p][p]- Tweaked costs of mercenaries. First available quality is enhanced rather then standard[/p][p]- Salvage missions for retrieving items have better chances of also containing extra equipment. This chance increases for harder difficulties[/p][p]- Added posibility of finding exotic and legendary items in wreckage on salvage missions / claims depending on level of the POI. Increased chance of finding better items at higher level.[/p][p]- Plasma Cannons, Plasma Autocannons and Autocannons have increase projectile speed[/p][p]- Added more mining claims to Mining Shops, and there will always be at least one mining claim focused on Carbon[/p][p]- Embassy Stations now scale in level along with the Conquest sector (affects level of available missions)[/p][p][/p][p]Fixes[/p][p]- Fixed Embassy stations being able to be destroyed[/p][p]- Boosters don't get the noaspect filter[/p][p]- Mercenaries will not have collision with the player ship[/p][p]- ShieldRegeneration has a value now[/p][p]- Industry Ops mission can no longer be lost upon loading the game[/p][p]- If the conquest tick happens while travelling the route will be recalculated[/p][p]- Fixed drones not inheriting the player allied / hostile station from their parent in special cases[/p][p]- Reduced the size of debris pieces spawned when damaging large ships and station pieces[/p][p]- Taking a mining / salvaging mission with a friendly faction as its enemy will turn the allied ships hostile once you start mining/salvaging[/p][p]- Improved behaviour of ship when you're trying to salvage around a space station where the ship can dock[/p][p]- ECHO now buys a more appropriate amount of torpedos before heading out (if your ship has a torpedo bay)[/p][p]- Industry ops and Wingman UI (mercenary) will no longer overlap[/p][p][/p][p]And as always, if you find any annoying / interesting bugs or just want to give your opinion. [p]Hello everyone,[/p][p][/p][p]Another week, another patch. :) This time adding some quests to explain the conquest mechanic better and help players on their way. And load of improvements and fixes. [/p][p][/p][h3]Update availability[/h3][p]This update is still under active development. As such, it is only available if you switch to the beta branch of Vanguard Galaxy to test out these new changes. Instruction on how to install the beta updates can be found at the bottom of this post.[/p][p][/p][p]Added/Changed[/p][p]- Added introduction missions to the conquest sector[/p][p]- Added a "next update" timer to the Conquest sector map view[/p][p]- Added a hard cap to bonus skill points gained from items and missions - up to 60 bonus skillpoints can be collected (for a total of 120 at level 60)[/p][p]- Conquest Shop now sells bonus skill points - at an ever increasing price[/p][p]- Added Conquest Ranks per faction giving a variety of bonuses when doing activities for that faction - Destroyers are tied to this rank[/p][p]- Added a new class of Mining Claim items that contain ores rich in a specific refined material. You can purchase these claims at Mindus stations.[/p][p]- Added docking tunnel animation when docking/undocking[/p][p]- Added a red indicator to your HUD to indicate the location of offscreen enemies[/p][p]- Added a mission in the first quadrant to unlock the newer (30+) skills in the skilltree (for (current) players who are already playing in the conquest zone these skills are already unlocked - You can still do the mission, it gives 2 skillpoints as a reward)[/p][p]- All stations are the newer modulair stations, if for some reason it gets destroyed.. it will repair itself after a while (1 hour of not visited). More variants and designs will be added.[/p][p]- Items in the Conquest Shop are now leveled up based on your current Conquest Rank[/p][p][/p][p]Balance[/p][p]- Reduced the production-per-tick of Economy items by about 25% (less items will be available to cap maximum profit)[/p][p]- Significantly increased the cargo volume of Economy items, to incentivize buying a proper cargo hauler if you want to do profitable cargo runs[/p][p]- Destroyers and most other large ships have their reputation requirement lowered to Respected (but you need Faction Conquest rank in order to purchase them)[/p][p]- Bounty, Patrol and Industrial Ops missions no longer take place in a neighboring system - to balance, Patrol and Bounty missions have an additional wave of enemies to fight[/p][p]- Destroyers and other large ships have their credit costs reduced by ~50%, but... they will cost additional Mars Commendations (which in total value will still account to a 30% discount compared to before)[/p][p]- High level missions give significantly more Mars Commendations (about a x5 multiplier at level 60 compared to level 30)[/p][p]- Increased the base Mars Commendation cost of skillpoints in the conquest shop, and reduced the scaling cost increase per point purchased[/p][p][/p][p]Fixes[/p][p]- Fixed edge case where loading the game got stuck on the loading screen.[/p][p]- Fixed reactor description[/p][p]- Conquest update timer no longer incorrectly resets during a save/load[/p][p]- Fixed some annoying "Remote access blocked" warnings while using the galaxy map around the Conquest sector[/p][p]- Factions that are not interested in galactic conquest no longer give missions with Fleet Strength rewards.[/p][p]- When filtering the inventory it will also refresh the scroll[/p][p]- Fix for changing a large item in the workshop increasing the energy costs by too much[/p][p]- Optimized shipyard/personal hangar slightly[/p][p]- Fix for failed mission throwing an error, causing ECHO to get stuck[/p][p]- Canisec gun platforms will no longer spawn in prologue area[/p][p]- Fixed "Escort Ship" and "Help Friendly Miner" missions that are started with a faction you're currently hostile with (you no longer attack their poor helpless ship)[/p][p][/p][p]And as always, if you find any annoying / interesting bugs or just want to give your opinion. As such, it is only available if you switch to the beta branch of Vanguard Galaxy to test out these new changes. Instruction on how to install the beta updates can be found at the bottom of this post.[/p][p][/p][p]Added/Changed[/p][p]- Started rework of the Economy system - visit any Intertrade station to get started on your new trading career![/p][p]- Added Mars Commendation, a new currency that is awarded for several conquest-related activities. It can be spent in each faction's Embassy and Headquarters.[/p][p]- Added the Conquest Shop to embassies and headquarters to spend your hard-earned Mars Commendations[/p][p]- Destroyers can now be purchased from the owning faction's Embassy[/p][p]- Embassy station tooltip now shows the total accumulated fleet strength (when you're trying to help them break into the Conquest)[/p][p]- Filter options for inventory now also include aspect names, stat names, level comparison and mining claim ores and system name[/p][p][/p][p]Balance[/p][p]- Dog Tags now provide a variable amount of Commendations (1-4) instead of just one[/p][p]- Gun platforms near Jumpgates in the Conquest area now belong to the controlling faction (in order to deter would-be invaders)[/p][p]- Random security patrols in Conquest system are now performed by the controlling faction more often[/p][p]- Added Forge and Refinery to all Mindus and Steel Vultures stations in the Conquest area[/p][p]- Ships purchased in an Embassy now start with equipment equal to the player's level, rather than the Embassy station's level[/p][p][/p][p]Fixes[/p][p]- Fixed font scaling of damage numbers at high levels[/p][p]- Fixed the "Line of Defense" mission spawning a ship that doesn't have shields for you to repair. If you currently have the bugged mission: Abandon it and pick up a fixed version[/p][p]- Improved inventory behaviour when items change.
