We've got some exciting news to share about Android deployment, new features in the pipeline and a week-long sale too!


We've been doing some work behind the scenes in order to bring Android builds up-to-date. In the latest version (2019.003.004) we've increased the API Level to 28 and both 32-bit and 64-bit modules are now supported.



Something cool we want to highlight: We've made a change to Map Connections so that they now also position vehicles containing players!

Of course we've fixed a few bugs and made some minor tweaks too, as we often do, so make sure you check out our full change log on our website.


Our feature requests vote box has been a huge success and thanks to this we now have a better idea of what it is you'd like to see implemented into 001. Today, we'd like to announce some of the things we're working on that I think you'll be pretty pleased about:

IAP/Ads for Android/iOS
Easily one of our most requested features - the ability to add IAPs and Ads for Android and iOS games. Well, part of the reason why we updated the Android build is because of this! Now that our Android build is a lot more robust, implementing these features won't be nearly as difficult. While we can't give an exact date as to when this will be available, we can say that it's now one step closer to being added. Look forward to learning more about this in the near future!

Dark UI
Something else a lot of you seem interested in is a Dark UI for 001's main graphical user interface. We're still very much in the early stages of implementing this but here's a quick test we did a short while ago:

NOTE: This is not what the final Dark UI will look like - this was only a simple test to see if it was possible.

UNICODE Improvements
A few months back, we added UNICODE support to 001 however, while successful, it's still fairly bare bones - as there are parts of the editor that do not support UNICODE characters. We're going to be continuing our efforts for full UNICODE support in future updates, so please look forward to it!

Naturally, we've also updated 001 Game Creator to v2019.003.003 that hosts a bunch of new fixes and small additions. In addition to the Message Box Invalid Parameter error (that we released a hotfix for not too long ago) we've also fixed the Sort Table event so that it actually moves adjacent columns/rows (like one would expect) allowing for more common table sorting seen in other applications.

Additionally, we've made a change that should hopefully mitigate anti-virus software from reporting false positives in relation to some of 001's files. If you've been experiencing problems with this, please let us know if this update resolves your issue or not!

Due to a recent Windows 10 feature update, some users have been experiencing an "Invalid Parameter" error when using the Message Box/Advanced Message Box events.

We've updated the Steam build of 001 Game Creator to address this issue. Thank you to those that reported the issue to us!

We've updated 001 Game Creator to v2019.003.001 with a bunch of fixes, mainly to resolve issues with Android testing/builds but also a handful of other issues as well!



First and foremost, we've fixed the mismatch error that some of you were getting while testing on your mobile devices as well as fixed start up crashes that were occurring on built APKs.



While testing the example projects we encountered a few issues that have been resolved. Firstly, in the "Cinematic" example we've fixed the "Change Game Speed" event from being inaccurate (especially with lower speeds or subtle differences) which resulted in faster PCs freezing. We've also fixed an overlapping tree and changed the character names too.

We've also fixed the "Interface" example, which exhibited double inputs when using the mouse.



A new UNICODE character block has been added to the Fonts window for Thai characters. We've also added more information to the "Other" (formerly Custom) UNICODE block window.



Lastly, we've updated our online wiki with some new additional bits of information for those that were confused about certain functionality. In particular, we've completely overhauled the section regarding Master Models and Master Segments on the Sprites page to fully explain what these do and their advantages in 3D-created games.
