DeadCore Redux: Demo Announcement

Hello there,

We are very happy to announce that DeadCore Redux demo is now available!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04RfJzaW83Q

It has been crafted to be released for the AG French Direct event, celebrating french indie devs and broadcasting live on May, 28 at 6PM UTC+2:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mJfGPdssCU

This demo will let you (re)discover “The Fall” (Story Level #1) as it’s supposed to be played the first time you launch the game, then a second time with the Dash ability (normally unlocked in Story Level #3).

The Dash has always been one of the main components of the game as it allows for experimenting with new ways to navigate levels, letting players find new shortcuts and collectibles: we hope you will like the freedom it provides and, for veteran players, its brand new sound design!

Speaking of collectibles, you’ll be able to find 2 Sparks in The Fall.
Sadly, most players didn’t notice in the original game, but finding these collectibles unlock their corresponding Spark Level in Speedrun mode where you can compete with other players on online leaderboards.

The demo features the 2 first Sparks Levels - “The Rim” and “The System” - for you to try them offline in order to sharpen your skills before the game release : )

Additionally, there are also a couple more features available in this build in a very work in progress state, like:
  • Early Steam Deck support (select “Steamdeck” in quality settings for 60fps)
  • Settings menu 1st draft (more options to come like HDR screens support)

We are also still looking into implementing additional accessibility options based on feedback from players (thanks ViRiXDreamcore!).

We hope you will enjoy the demo and as always, feel free to reach out if you have any feedback for us!

Cheers,

5 Bits Games

DeadCore Redux Graphics Comparison

Hello!

We thought that a nice comparison video that showcase the visual enhancements featured in DeadCore Redux like rebuild from scratch 3D assets and textures, PBR lighting, volumetrics effects and revamped VFXs would be a good fit for a first news!
