Weapon Attachments

[p]Weapon attachment customization was one of the most requested features and it's finally coming. [/p][p]Every attachment is now a seperate item that you can interact with in your inventory. You will be able to collect attachment parts like scopes, silencers and red dot sights. When you hover over an attachment part, it will highlight the weapons it's compatible with.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]You can then click to pick it up and then click on the weapon you want to attach it to. Now simply equip the weapon and it will have your attachment on it. If you want to remove the attachment from a weapon: Unequip it, and thensimply click on the attachment you want to remove.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]NPCs are also able to use these attachments. For instance, if an NPC has a scoped weapon, they will be able to spot their enemies easier and they will have a better aim. You will be able to buy these weapon attachments from traders in the zone or via the online shopping. Your last option is hunting down other's for these attachments.[/p][p][/p]
Full Devlog
[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p]

Crafting System

[p]One common point of feedback was the lack of loot you could find in the buildings. With this new crafting system that will change. Now you can find various resources inside the buildings. Some of these resources are: Generic household supplies, fabric, pills, alcohol, duct tape, matches and many more.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Crafting system is very simple in terms of how it works. All you need is to combine two resources and it will create a more useful item. [/p][p]For instance, combining alcohol with a piece fabric will give you a bandage. Combining alcohol with matches on the otherhand will result in a molotov.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]We want the players to discover these recipes by trial and error. And when you discover a recipe it will be added to your recipe list. With the addittion of the crafting system, player now has to rely on scavenging resources to survive. Before this you could supply all the items with your PDA via the online shopping feature. [/p][p]Shopping system was very bare bones and didn't make much sense in terms of realism. Any ordered items would just spawn in your safe house. This is no longer the case.[/p][p]Now ordered items will be delivered to you via a drone. Drone delivery in the zone requires a certain set of skills and sometimes these drones don't make it back. And this essentially increases the cost of online shopping. Road to Early Access
Hello everybody!
[p][/p][p]Steam Next Fest went really well and many new people tried the game! I would like to thank you all for sharing feedback. Demo version will receive some more small patches in the upcoming weeks but from now on my goal is to focus on early access. I have planned a series of features that will come with the early access version and I want to talk about them. [/p][p][/p]
Survival
[p][/p][p]Demo version was meant to showcase the very basics of the game in a simplified way. Therefore it didn't really have many survival aspects. This will change starting with early access. NMH will be more survival focused. You will be able to gather resources, craft items, hunt and cook and more.[/p][p][/p][p]Crafting[/p][p][/p][p]We all love looting and NMH will now give your more chance to loot resources. You will be able to find raw materials in households and combine them into new items. Basic idea of crafting system is basically combining two items and it will result in a new item. For instance, fabric combined with alcohol will give you a bandage. [/p][p][/p][p]Hunting & Cooking[/p][p][/p][p]You will be able to hunt and collect meat from animals. NMH already has wild animals but they are only a danger at the moment. Starting with early access you will be able to collect meat from hunted animals. Then you can cook this meat in a campfire and eat it.[/p][p][/p][p]All these updates means game will be focused on gathering resources and crafting your own items. This means the online shopping feature needs to be reworked. Online shopping was pretty much in a barebones state in the demo and the whole purpose of it was to be there so that player can access items in a easy way. From now on, online shopping won't spawn the items in your safe house, instead they will be delievered to you via a drone and thus increasing the prices of items. If you have the money you can still order items online but for the most part you will have to loot and craft your own items.[/p][p][/p]
Weapon Customization
[p][/p][p]Weapon customization is probably the most requested feature and it will be coming in the early access. You will be able to find scopes, silencers, flashlights and lasers and attach them to your weapons. It's as simple as that. And with the new crafting system you will be able to craft improvised attachments as well. For instance, improvised silencers or using duct tape and flashlight to craft a tactical flashlight.[/p][p]New weapons are also coming with new attachments. [/p][p][/p]
Radianite
[p][/p][p]Radianite's are illuminating artifacts that randomly spawn in the AEZ. With early access NMH will have various radianite types you can find and sell. These radianites will have different effects. Other NPCs will also be hunting for radianite. If you spot a radianite and another squad has also spotted it, they might open fire on you and try to steal it from you. Radianite hunting will be very dangerous but ultimately it will worth it since you will be able to sell them for good money.[/p][p][/p]
Coming on August 25
[p][/p][p]I am planning to release the early access version on August 25. Below you can find the roadmap.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
