Unseen Diplomacy 2 | Launch on March 16th 2026

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]Bude, United Kingdom – March 9th, 2025 – Triangular Pixels are thrilled to announce that its VR espionage adventure Unseen Diplomacy 2 is leaving Early Access on March 16th on both Meta Quest and Steam VR platforms. While the 1.0 version marks a major milestone, the team is still planning further updates and refinements after launch. The game is also taking part in the Women’s Day Event on Steam until March 15th which highlights games by women-led studios.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Since entering Early Access in September 2025, the developers have worked closely with the community, taking their feedback to make Unseen Diplomacy 2 more accessible, intuitive and fun, as well as adding a whole slew of new content and features. This resulted in four major updates, with another one being planned for the full launch to round out the experience. [/p][p]The 1.0 update will include Quest 2 support, a new climax mission and additional climax areas, expanding the game’s intense moments, alongside adding the ability to buy health and inventory upgrades for extra flexibility when planning missions. The update will also introduce achievements and includes various bug fixes and polish, delivering a more refined and satisfying spy adventure. [/p][p]“Early Access gave us the opportunity to build Unseen Diplomacy 2 alongside our players, and their enthusiasm and feedback have been invaluable,” said Katie Goode, Creative Director at Triangular Pixels. “We’re very happy to announce that the game is now almost fully ready, and reaching this milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the community’s support. We can’t wait to put the 1.0 version in their hands and for new players to join in on the spy action on March 16th.”[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Key features:[/p]
 • [p]High-stakes operations: utilize stealth, strategy, and quick thinking to steal assets, gather evidence, sabotage obstacles that will slice, dice, zap, crush, burn or call the guards, and escape unseen[/p]

[/p][p]RT/LT icon didn’'t show on calibration if the menu is beyond the wall collision markers[/p][p]
[/p][p]Locomotion Foot Planting didn’t stop for collision in Release Builds, because of a call which turns out was Editor only. This meant that players can walk through areas of collision when they shouldn’t, making it harder to control.[/p][p]

[/p][p]Photobot could get stuck in an animation.[/p][p]

[/p][p]Moved Light position in industrial to stop it looking like its floating in the air[/p][p]

UD2 Patch Notes: v0.4 Release

Unseen Diplomacy 2 – Early Access v0.4 Patch Notes
Patch-mas
[p][/p][p]Happy Holidays Agents!
We have a big Christmas patch ready for you to unwrap. Get ready to unbox more rooms than ever, re-box the Distraction Bot and more![/p][p]
[/p]
Rooms, Rooms, Rooms
[p]While working on new content, we discovered a bug preventing most rooms from appearing, causing the game to pick from a very limited pool of rooms (often the most boring ones!).
This has been fixed and our most exciting rooms can now appear, showing off far more of what makes Unseen Diplomacy 2, Unseen Diplomacy 2![/p][p][/p][p]
[/p]
Bots Tutorial
[p]We’ve finished with our 4th and final tutorial mission. You can learn in depth about the different bots and how to deal with them. Also check out the Agent Handbook on your wristwatch for more details about the game as a whole.[/p][p]
[/p]
New ways to disable the Distraction Bot
[p]The oil-spitting delight that is the Distraction Bot has been very effective at slowing players down. Players were supposed to be able to disable it by putting objects on top of its home, so that it couldn’t pop out to get you. At some point this feature stopped working but has now been fixed and the bot can be stopped again.[/p][p][/p][p]But that’s not all! [/p][p]We’ve added an additional feature straight from our community. We’ve seen players try to use a screwdriver on the bot cover to disable it, and now you can! Just whip out your tools and lock the Bot in, forever![/p][p][/p][p]
[/p]
Wrist Watch Behaviour
[p]Players have been struggling with the wrist watch, with selection and snapping issues. Both of these have been greatly improved. It was too easy for the UI system to think you were trying to drag a button, and it didn’t offer any assistance in keeping your wrist and hand steady in two handed play. [/p][p][/p][p]The watch now pauses its position when using its menus. Button press detection has also changed so the buttons are much more responsive and don’t track drags.[/p][p]
[/p]
Controller callouts and controller models
[p]Within our tutorials, instead of relying on flat images to inform you of which buttons to press, we now have 3D controllers which match whatever platform controllers you’re using.[/p][p]These point to the buttons directly, so that those who are new to VR won’t have to remove their headset to see which button is which![/p][p][/p][p]

[/p]
Avatar calibration
[p]You may not have noticed your avatar, but you would have noticed that some pockets in your inventory may have been a little hard to grab. We’ve finally been able to put in the first test of our Avatar Calibration when you start up the game. This means pockets should fit your body much better now. [/p][p]If the calibration feels incorrect, retry and stretch your arms out further or tuck them closer to your body. [/p]

Better Terminal Keyboards
[p]Along with buttons on the wrist watch, players have struggled with Terminal buttons too. [/p][p]We’ve taken out keys, simplified the layout and made the ones you use a lot bigger. This makes it easier to interact with Terminals without having to look down.[/p][p]We’ve also fixed a few other buttons in the game that didn’t react responsively to the player.  [/p][p][/p][p]
[/p]
New Music, New Animated Props and Better Textures
[p]Keep an eye and an ear out for new music, visuals, and SFX across the board. [/p][p]We’ve added a handful of cool animated props, improved our water and lava shaders, and added SFX where they’ve been missing.

UD2 Patch Notes: v0.3 Release

[p]Greetings agents! We have a fresh new patch ready and waiting for you to infiltrate your way into. This time we’ve been focusing on the finer details - polishing up existing locations and adding improvements based on player feedback.[/p][p][/p][p]Direct Control[/p][p]For those of you not playing ‘full sim’ we’ve added a new walking locomotion method - ‘direct control’. This ties your movement directly to the analog stick, letting you walk forwards, backwards and strafe. If you turn on artificial rotation then the game controls like a ‘traditional’ flat game with movement on one stick and turning on the other. You can choose this with the ‘custom’ locomotion option.[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p]Agent Hawker - Your Assistant[/p][p]There’s now a new assistant to help you through the tutorials and train to become a stand-out spy! She has her own comic panels so she can keep an eye on you and offer advice wherever you are. Her name is Agent Hawker. Unseen Diplomacy 2 is made near the real life spy base of GCHQ Bude, and Hawker's Hut is right close next to it… so we borrowed that name! Maybe you can suggest another name for her?[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p]Agent Handbook[/p][p]You can now access the Agent Handbook from the wristwatch. It’s a comprehensive guide to being a super spy - how to use your gadgets, how to avoid hazards and what to do about pesky bots. Since it’s on your wristwatch it’s always available even if you’re in the middle of a mission. Find it in the ‘Support’ section of the wristwatch.[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p]One-handed Action[/p][p]We had a one-controller mode at launch, but in real-world testing it was behaving a bit finicky so it’s had a bit of an overhaul. If you want to play one-handed, then just connect one controller, and the game will automatically switch. Your wristwatch will be placed on the other arm, you’ll get a bit more time to react when climbing, and your control scheme will update so everything is accessible.[/p][p]
[/p][p]Enhanced Environments[/p][p]We’ve got a long-term effort to polish up and add variety to all the locations within the game. This time we’ve improved the castle and Mediterranean locations, with reworked textures, additional props and new vfx and sfx.[/p][p]
[/p][p]Input Interrogation[/p][p]If you’re playing via SteamVR, we’ve reworked the input bindings to take into account the new direct control and one-handed features. This means you’ll have greater choice and flexibility if you want to rebind the controls to your personal taste. We’ll have a separate guide on this shortly![/p][p]
