Floating cats, Disappearing monkeys, and MORE

[p]Hello everyone! Got a nice lil update for ya to help make your experience better while playing gone fishing. Thanks for playing Gone Fishing!!

  • [p]Players now drop items on death and on exiting the game (not bait tho, there's got to be some sort of punishment)[/p]
  • [p]Reworked the nav mesh for each map to greatly improve how ai navigate the world and reduce glitchy pathing (like the cat on the light in the cabin, thanks yumi)[/p]
  • [p]Reworked the jungle spider monster so that when players go into the cabin they will roam away[/p]
  • [p]Reduced the number of spider monsters that spawn on the jungle map[/p]
  • [p]Removed trees blocking the jungle bridge[/p]
  • [p]Arm and Leg are now displayed on a hook when caught. (The leg was just dangling in the air before lol)[/p]
  • [p]INCREASED ALCOHOL TOLERANCE LETS GO (y'all gonna have to find out how much more you can drink before you die)[/p]

  • [p]Fixed a bug where minnow bait would either fall through the ground or just float in the air[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where the minnow trap would become inoperable because it either thought you were at max bait or it would become desynced.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where the large chopped bait would have weird particles coming from it when on hook[/p]
  • [p]Actually fixed the shark audio now, It wont play for 30 seconds and it wont be on the music slider.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug that caused the quota value to be displayed incorrectly[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug that would cause the dot in the center of the screen to become visible for clients when the host looked at an item[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug that would cause the dot to become desynced and stay visible when it should not be[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug that would cause a new map to be set to public if the previous session was set to public and the player did not restart their game in between sessions.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where if the bait in the cats mouth despawned the cat with glitch out and become locked[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where bait in the cats mouth would be deleted on the start of a new day (you can now store baby gorilla overnight in cats mouth)[/p]

Tweaks, Changes, and Lots of bugs

  • [p]Reworked the Strike system backend. Now instead of slowing down on the ends of the bars it will keep its momentum all the way through and “Bounce” off the edges. [/p]
    • [p](Moved From Trig based Sin wave equation to a linear equation)[/p]
  • [p]Made the starting point for the strike system Random. [/p]
  • [p]Fixed Issue that resulted in 2 Strike bars to appear[/p]
  • [p]A perfect hook set will now decrease the fishes strength by 10% (From 0%) and increase the reel speed by 2.25x (From 2x)[/p]
  • [p]The minimum hook set will now increase the fishes strength by 50% instead of 64%.[/p]
  • [p]A Dead center (best 2% hook set) will now result in a new crit sound playing.[/p][p][/p]

  • [p]Replaced Spider Bait and spider bait on hook with Potato sack model[/p]
  • [p]The spider Infestation will no longer take place if arachnophobia is on.[/p]

New Monster + Reworks + Emotes + Fixes

Added a new monster… The Stalker.
  • [p]This new creature will lurk around players during the day time becoming more aggressive as the day continues. [/p]
  • [p]During the day time, unless you approach the Stalker, you won't be in any direct danger; however, the Stalker has a deep hatred for TNT. If the stalker finds out you are going to use TNT against him, he will enter a rage mode and hunt you down.[/p]
  • [p]As the sun goes down, the Stalker will lurk closer and closer to you until it is pitch dark at which point he becomes very aggressive.[/p]
  • [p]If you manage to kill the Stalker, you will be well rewarded as his corpse makes for some of the best bait in the game[/p]

Reworked the Fishing Algorithm a bit on the backend
  • [p]Now clients should have SIGNIFICANTLY reduced Lag on the First part of the fishing minigame.[/p]
  • [p]The size of the fish and species of the fish now go into how fast the first minigame bar moves. (Before it was the base Strike Value) (This should make it harder for players to predict the species of fish based on the first minigame)[/p]
[p][/p][h2]Change Rot so that it occurs once every morning instead of once every 5 minutes.[/h2]
  • [p]Cooked Rot changed from 2.5% every 5 minutes to 5% every day.[/p]
  • [p]Regular Rot changed from 5% every 5 minutes to 10% every day.[/p]

Lots of Optimizations and Bug Fixes

[p][/p][p][/p][p]Finished the perk system overhaul. This fixed a variety of bugs related to the perk system
Added new logic to each monster, which checks if the creature sees you before it can execute and kill logic. This was added to prevent players from being killed through walls
Updated the beer count image[/p][p]Rewrote the quota logic so that each time a fish is dropped/taken out of the altar, the game will calculate if quota is met. There has been a bug where some fish are rotting in the altar and a few other edge cases. By checking if quota is met the exact moment you drop a fish in the altar, the game will know whether to kill a player or not when players go to sleep regardless of fish rot or other potential bugs.[/p][p]Updated the shadow/lighting system to fix several lighting bugs and improve shadow detail[/p][p]Updated the minnows hitbox to make it easier to pick up[/p][p]Turned Down Jumping in Water splash sfx. [/p][p]Fixed issue that spawned in a floating bat[/p][p]Turned Down some of the Jumping in grass sfx.
Fixed various bugs with the anaconda creature[/p][p]Fixed a bug where the jungle boat could become undrivable
