FRESH OUT OF THE OVEN NEW CONTENT
[h3]As you all know, there are currently two legendary tier fish… well… there is now a new tier of fish to catch. As of this patch, you can now catch a mythic ranked fish. Although I wont spoil the fish itself, I will say that it can only be caught in the ocean.[/h3][p]This new catchable will be seen perusing the ocean every once in a while so keep an eye out for it.[/p][p][/p]

[p]We are now in Season 2 of GONE Fishing which means leaderboards are reset! [/p][p]Player Experience and stats are still being saved from last season so do not worry about losing your levels, tournament completions, or challenges![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]With the introduction of this new tier of fish, there is a new legendary rod purchasable in Jeb's Shop.[/h2]

Added Three new Fish
[h2] Tarpon[/h2][p] - Ferocious fishy that gets quite large, salt water only (Line lvl 5 Recommended).[/p][p][/p][h2] Sockeye Salmon[/h2][p] - Basic level fish to help build up some wealth for upgrades and items.[/p][h2] Red Perch[/h2][p] - Small fella found in the ocean.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Added Fishing hotspots
  • [p]Each day, a random location will be chosen the be a fishing hotspot.[/p]
  • [p]Fish have reduced pull power by 20%[/p]
  • [p]Fish tire 20% faster if caught in a hotspot[/p]
  • [p]The strike bar is 25% slower for fish caught in a hotspot.[/p]
  • [p]Fish will have a 15% bonus to their weight. This 15% is applied after the perk bonus, totem bonus, and difficulty bonus.[/p]

  • [p]Will sneak up to you and spook the #### out of you[/p]

  • [p]You will see signs of him if he is not pleased with you[/p]
  • [p]He will try to steal a fish from you but if you have no fish in your inventory to offer he will take you into the depths[/p]

  • [p]If you die while playing solo but you had previously sacrificed the heart, you will be revived instead of a game over. [/p]
  • [p]If you fail quota and go to sleep the heart will also prevent the monster from grabbing bro out the cabin[/p]

  • [p]Made so that a failed hook set will reset the line of the player (Players Keep Bait… For Now)[/p]
  • [p]Max lvl Fish Frenzy Totem now Sets fish bite speed to 75% faster instead of 90%.[/p]
  • [p]Max lvl Fish Frenzy Totem now costs 250 gold instead of 200[/p]

  • [p]Increased the range of which voip can be heard[/p]
  • [p]Made so bait go mute when they are placed into the baitcage[/p]
  • [p]Added new fog particle effect during heavy rain[/p]

  • [p]Fixed a bug where the dog could block players[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where using the chat feature could cause the player to get stuck in ui mode (and not be able to play the game)[/p]

  • [p]Fixed a bug where client tick rate would sometimes not be synced with the host[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where on game start, if max players was set to a value greater than 4, the lake monster would have invalid attack points, causing him to glitch out when grabbing a player from bed[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where picking up two fish of the same species could cause the second fish picked up to obtain the value of the first fish or be reset back to the default point value. There is still an edge case I am working on fixing but it is proving to be very difficult. This edge case happens when a player rapidly pick up and drops fish (like super spams)[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where if a player played a hardcore enabled save (or new game) then left and played a hardcore disabled save (not a new game), the save file would be deleted when it was not supposed to be

Water spooks and fixes

[/p][p]Added a new event where some rather unfriendly creatures will be visible in the water
[/p][p][/p][p]Made so the minnow trap does not need to be picked up to get more bait from it[/p][p]Made the cabin grill larger so it will be easier to cook those fishies[/p][p]Removed collision between players and bait (there may be a couple of bait left that do still have collision with the players, if you find one please comment it below and I will fix it asap.[/p][p]Reduced amount of cpu being used by the host to help improve performance.[/p][p]Fixed a bug that would make sprinting jittery for clients when they swap slots while sprinting.[/p][p]Fixed a bug where clients would sometimes not be able to see the bait cage[/p][p]Fixed a bug where bait could become desynced in multiplayer when placing it into the bait cage[/p][p]Fixed a bug where the game would end unexpectedly[/p][p]Fixed a bug where anytime you would swap an inventory slot your movement would get reset to walking

The Performance Patch + New item + Fixes

[h3]Hello everyone! This patch adds a new item, fixes a few bugs, and adds much needed optimzation to the game. If you run into any issues or notice anything weird, please let me know so I can get it fixed asap for you, thanks!!![/h3][p][/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Added a new item, the Bait Cage. When purchased, you can store bait in this cage, and they will be saved overnight for as long as you keep them in the bait cage or until your game starts to lag too much[/p]

  • [p]Added two crucial optimizations that will help with ping and network slowdowns. It will also decrease cpu usage for the host of a lobby so the random drop to 20 fps should be fixed aswell[/p]
  • [p]Added custom draw distance and tick profiles for each bait ai to help with performance[/p]
  • [p]Remade the endgame cutscene to have logs fly around and some other stuff as well.[/p]
  • [p]Cant 100% confirm due to me not being able to replicate this bug in the first place, BUT I am pretty sure that I got the UI bug with the Fishing Strike System solved. It was putting 2 strike systems on the screen at once, pretty weird.[/p]
  • [p]Shark attack now kills on JW difficulty only.[/p]
  • [p]Made the crab's pathing a bit smarter so that the crab can now chase/grab players in more complex area,s like on the dock[/p]
  • [p]Increased the time the crab will seek players from 11->15 seconds[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Increased the spawn chance of the stalker creature; however, there is now a 5-day cooldown for it to spawn again
