Daily Patch #11 - Percent Damage Rework, Rebalancing, and More!

[p]Hi everyone![/p][p]It's the 11th day of daily patches, and this one's mostly focused on rebalancing different things so that a wider array of options are more viable! Mainly, percentage damage loot.[/p][p]I also wanted to mention that yesterday's post outlines the plans for the first big content update for Desktop Defender, read more about it here![/p][p]Also, if you're enjoying the game, I would REALLY appreciate it if you reviewed it. It's the best thing you can do to support the game if you're enjoying it![/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]Anyways, below are the patch notes![/p]

  • [p]Fixed bug that caused projectile speed to fire behind you if you had tons of loot with negative projectile speed modifiers[/p]
  • [p]Made the minimum possible damage 1 instead of 0[/p]
  • [p]Made it such that leveled up HP gets added on top of multiplied by your loot, so leveling up HP is more worth it even if you have a low HP-build through your loot[/p]
  • [p]Fixed bug that caused your starting HP to be higher than it should've been after the previous HP fix[/p]
  • [p]Buffed Burst, by making it such that it gets more affected by flat damage[/p]

Daily Update #10 + NEXT BIG CONTENT PATCH!

[p]Hi everyone![/p][p]It's day 10 of daily patches, and this one's a nice QOL-focused one! However, there's some other stuff I want to talk to you all about...[/p][p]I'm planning on releasing Desktop Defender's first big content update in December, focused on fleshing out the Rebirth System.[/p][p]As it works now, Rebirthing erases all of your current progress, but gives you a +25% multiplicative bonus on Money and XP Gain. I've been testing out different things, and I'm really liking the expanded Rebirth system that I outline below:[/p]
  1. [p]Rebirthing can still only be done after hitting level 150, but now each rebirth forces you to get to a specific wave. E.g. the first one might be wave 95, the second wave 100, the third wave 102, etc.[/p]
  2. [p]Rebirthing will only give a +10% bonus, instead of +25%.[/p]
  3. [p]Similarly to the level progression, there will be a "Rebirth Progression". At certain Rebirth counts, you will unlock special bonuses that will power you up and make your next Rebirths quicker.[/p]
  4. [p]Below is the structure I've been testing out (subject to change, of course):[/p]
[p]Rebirth 1 - Unlocks a 1.25x fast forward button[/p][p]Rebirth 2 - Unlocks loot stash (3 loot)[/p][p]Rebirth 3 - Start with all weapons unlocked[/p][p]Rebirth 4 - 3 extra loot slots[/p][p]Rebirth 5 - Unlocks an even more powerful loot tier, "Omega" loot[/p][p]Rebirth 10 - +3 stash capacity[/p][p]Rebirth 20 - 3 extra loot[/p][p]Rebirth 30 - Unlocks a 1.5x fast forward button[/p][p]Rebirth 40 - +3 stash capacity[/p][p]Rebirth 50 - 3 extra loot[/p][p]Rebirth 75 - Unlocks a 1.75x fast forward button[/p][p]Rebirth 100 - +3 stash capacity[/p][p]Rebirth 150 - Unlocks a 2x fast forward button[/p][p]Rebirth 200 - Unlocks an even more powerful loot tier, "Radiant" loot[/p][hr][/hr][p]You can also see that as a part of the revamped Rebirth System, I've added extra features such as a stash (probably the most requested feature!), a fast forward button, and more![/p][p]I will be putting an update into the Steam beta branch in around 2 weeks with these additions/changes, and I would love it if you could test it out, and let me know if you like the changes! As I said before, this is totally subject to change, so your feedback will be key in making this revamped Rebirth system as good as possible![/p][p]Also, if you're enjoying the game, I would REALLY appreciate it if you reviewed it. It's the best thing you can do to support the game if you're enjoying it![/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]Anyways, below are today's patch notes![/p]
  • [p]Made it such that if you have rebirthed at least once, all levels are automatically claimed[/p]
  • [p]Made it such that you can exit menus by clicking "outside" of them[/p]
  • [p]Made it such that if you die, the menu you had active reopens on reloading the game scene[/p]
  • [p]Fixed some typos in text descriptions[/p]
