Insider: Weapon Spotlight - Tesla (WIP #6)

[h3]Hello Demon Hunters,[/h3][p]Meet the Tesla - the weapon that shoots instant lightning that chains between nearby enemies. Each hit deals relatively low damage on its own, but the weapon fires rapidly, creating a web of electricity that keeps jumping to new targets.[/p][p]What to expect:[/p]
  • [p]Instant, hit-scan lightning chains[/p]
  • [p]Rapid fire with continuous damage output[/p]
  • [p]Strong crowd control through chaining[/p]
  • [p]Scales well with bounce, fire rate and on-hit modifiers[/p]

Insider: Infinity Mode - Broken Faster Than Expected

[h3]Fellow Demon Hunters,[/h3][p]A few words about Infinity Mode. [/p][p]Players managed to break it surprisingly fast.[/p][p]Infinity Mode was designed as a mode where the game constantly escalates pressure and tries to basically kill you, forcing efficient builds and smart upgrade order.[/p][p]What we know so far:[/p]
  • [p]Players quickly found rune combinations that allow breaking through enemies HP wall. [/p]
  • [p]After some time, enemy HP exceeded acceptable values and, due to a bug, was rounded to 1.[/p]
  • [p]A fair number of players decided that beating on enemies for 10+ hours straight was a great idea. Respect. [/p]

Insider: Open Playtest #2 - General Wrap-Up

[h3]Demon Hunters,[/h3][p]The second playtest is coming to an end, and we’re happy with how it went - a lot of players and a lot of feedbacks![/p][h3]Feedback[/h3][p]A large amount of feedback was collected from Steam, Discord, and the Google form. The most common points are already part of our plans for launch and post-launch support. [/p][p]In general, your feedback matched the areas we already knew needed work.[/p][p]Most frequently requested improvements:[/p]
  • [p]Affix rerolling (potentially using HellDust)[/p]
  • [p]Clearer stat tooltips and active modifier explanations[/p]
  • [p]A detailed unlocks window[/p]
  • [p]More Arsenal filters[/p]
  • [p]Marking weapons as favorites or junk[/p]
  • [p]Auto-merge and auto-scrap for weapons (partially implemented)[/p]
  • [p]A bestiary with enemies/weapons descriptions and mechanics[/p]
  • [p]And of course, more content - weapons, perks, enemies[/p]
[p]Visibility was also mentioned often - especially with certain builds where enemies can be hard to read. Improving combat readability is actively being worked on.[/p][h3]Leaderboards and Infinity Mode[/h3][p]Watching the leaderboard competition was great - seeing insane records was genuinely exciting. Unfortunately, seeing leaderboards fill up with cheaters faster than we could clean them (not to mention bugs) was far less fun. Fixes on the way.[/p][p]Infinity Mode itself showed strong potential, especially in combination with leaderboards, but it also turned out to be broken in several ways. [/p][p]Next time we will fix/change it so Infinity Mode will reward build quality over pure player endurance.[/p][h3]Difficulty, again![/h3][p]We missed the mark here again. The early game was harder than intended, even for us. The difficulty curve is being reworked (again!) so the start is easier and each next biome or difficulty hits harder. Unlocks are also will be adjusted to let players experiment with different runes and synergies earlier.[/p][h3]Moving forward[/h3][p]New content and systems are actively in development. Insider: UI/UX Post-Update Report (WIP #5)

[h3]Demon Hunters,[/h3][p]While we are wrapping up the playtest report and going through all the feedback, we want to highlight some of the UI changes that were already part of the last playtest.[/p][h3]Implemented:[/h3]
  • [p]Reorganizing menus and submenus so navigation feels quicker and more intuitive.[/p]
[p][/p]
  • [p]Adding filters and sorting options that work across all Forge screens.[/p]
[p][/p]
  • [p]Implementing quick Recycle so you can concert weapons to resources without pain.[/p]
[p][/p]
  • [p]There is also a new Codex tab, a place where you can find detailed information about game entities, starting with synergies.[/p]
  • [p]Settings: Standard video/audio options, plus some initial accessibility features like colorblind modes. They are not perfect yet, but definitely better than nothing. [/p]
