Closed Playtest Complete!

You jumped in, played like absolute maniacs, pushed Grind Survivors to its limits, and shared a mountain of feedback.[/p][p]Because of you, we’re already tackling major improvements and polishing up core systems as we prepare for the next big step: the second Open Playtest coming this December, followed by next year’s full release. Your help is shaping the game in real time, and we couldn't be more grateful.[/p][p]The playtest may be over, but don’t put your weapons away just yet… A fresh, updated version is right around the corner once December’s playtest goes live.[/p][p]Stay sharp. The Closed Playtest Has Begun + Known Issues

[h3]Hey Demon Hunters,[/h3][p][/p][p]The Closed Playtest has finally kicked-off! [/p][p]If you haven’t received access yet, don’t worry. We’ll be adding new players in waves over the next few days, so keep your eyes open. [/p][p]We’re blown away by the amount of sign-ups, support, and willingness to help us improve the game. Your excitement fuels the grind. Thank you for being part of this journey![/p][p][/p][p]In addition we want to point out the current state of the build.[/p][p]The UI is still being rebuilt, so in this playtest you’ll definitely notice some rough edges and a few bugs. [/p][p]Below is a list of issues we’re already aware of in the current build. [/p][h3]The Forge Screen Issues[/h3]
  • [p]INFUSE [/p]
    • [p]Does not show the rarity of the weapon after infusion. However, you can still infuse weapons as before — by selecting one main weapon and four sacrificial ones.[/p]
  • [p]REFORGE[/p]
    • [p]It’s working, but the widget does not display the icon of the weapon you’ve selected.[/p]
  • [p]IMPROVE[/p]
    • [p]The functionality works, but the widget does not display the icon or stats of the selected weapon.[/p]
    • [p]Please note: If an upgrade fails, the weapon will reset its upgrade levels, and you can try again.[/p]
  • [p]RECYCLE[/p]
    • [p]The right side of the widget isn’t working.[/p]
    • [p]The left side functions correctly.[/p]
  • [p]SKILL TREE[/p]
    • [p]The “RESET ALL” button doesn’t work.[/p][p]The “Reset Data” button deletes your saves — restart the game afterward.[/p]
[h3]Other Issues[/h3]
  • [p]You may experience problems when using a controller. It’s recommended to use a mouse in the menus.[/p]
  • [p]Some mobs may get stuck on obstacles.[/p]
  • [p]The game may freeze when too many kills occur simultaneously.[/p]
  • [p]The game may freeze when hovering over a “New” weapon if you have a large number of weapons in your inventory.[/p]
  • [p]Achievements may not confirm completion, but all rewards are still granted correctly.[/p]
[p][/p][p]We’re actively working on all of these issues, but they will remain present in the current Closed Playtest build.   • [p]Updated UI – reworked screens, improved navigation, and a refreshed visual style (this is still work in progress, though)[/p]

Insider: Leaderboards (WIP #4)

[h3]Fellow Demon Hunters,[/h3][p][/p][p]We’ve seen how intense the leaderboard battles became during the last playtest. Close fights for the top spots, rivalries between friends, and endless min-maxing for that extra score. [/p][p]We also noticed some odd competition patterns at the top: players keeping the boss alive to farm endless demons for score. And of course, a few cheaters slipped through.[/p][p]This update aims to make leaderboards fairer, more meaningful, and way more fun to climb with your friends.[/p][h3]Here’s what’s new:[/h3]
  • [p]New scoring system – your total score now reflects all actions during a run: kills, damage, experience, Ash earned, and more.[/p]
  • [p]Boss score limit – once the boss spawns, your score stops increasing from farming demons (only boss kill counts).[/p]
  • [p]Friend-only sorting – hide everyone except your Steam friends and compare only within your circle.[/p]
  • [p]Tags – labels like Friend or Developer will now appear in global boards to make competition more personal and engaging.[/p]
  • [p]Anti-cheat – improved backend systems to ensure leaderboard integrity and fair play for everyone.[/p]
