Why's it getting darker?[/p][p]I'll be posting more "Behind the Scenes" looks as we get closer to the goal. Stay tuned, and stay in the light![/p][p]— Your Fellow Dev[/p][p][/p]

Lighting Style: Which one looks better?

HELP ME CHOOSE: How dark should the abyss be?
[p]I’m currently fine-tuning the lighting for Why's It Getting DARKER?! and I need your eyes on this. My goal is to make the ocean feel as suffocating as possible without losing the terror of what’s right in front of you.[/p]
The Comparison

1. Dev View (Behind the Scenes): 2. In-Game Shots (The Player's Perspective):

Which one makes your skin crawl?
[p]I'm open to all criticism - don't hold back! Does the darker look feel more immersive, or do you prefer seeing a bit more of the... "local wildlife"?[/p][p]Drop a comment below with your choice! Thank y'all so much for the support and for helping me shape the feeling of Why's It Getting DARKER?![/p]

Lighting Improvements In Progress

[p]Psychological Horror is nothing without proper lighting (and SFX).[/p]
Lighting Improvements:
 • [p]Way snappier lighting.[/p]
 • [p]Better submarine experience.[/p]
 • [p]Better graphics (lighting effects).[/p]

Demo Is Rearranging, Be Prepared For an Intense Experience!

[p]I’ve been quiet because I’m currently rearranging the demo experience to make it more intense.[/p][p]In the new demo layout, you will be able to experience the submarine (Yes, demo will include a feature I have been developing for the main game - boss creatures attacking the submarine!), smooth gameplay, and have a bit taste from the lore. I'm working on making the isolation feel heavier and the encounters... larger.[/p]
Global Updates:
[p]Thank you all for your support![/p][p]I plan to localize this demo for a very wide range of countries![/p]
A Quick Question:
[p]Should your AI assistant warn you when the Bloop is nearby (probably it'll not even be fast enough to warn you until it's too late), or should it just let you 'discover' it on your own? Let me know in the comments!
[/p]
2nd Quick Question:
[p]What would you want to see more in the demo? Fast-paced gameplay? Slow-paced gameplay? Or... in between? New feature ideas? I'm open to all suggestions![/p][p]
Note: THL-003B is the first boss creature I have created. So, "better" boss creatures will take charge in the main game rather than the demo. This won't effect the quality of the demo, just the variety.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]

Did I show you guys the menu of the game yet?

Early Stages of Menu:
[p][/p]
Note: No, this game isn't a chinese game, I just added localization to the game, I wanted to show it too
[p][/p][p]You can criticize the menu in comments if you want, I'll check them out, I know the initial menu looks very dark, other than that, I wait for your opinions.[/p]
