Development Status #82
Dear Mechanics,
welcome to our eighty second development status update.

The work on suggestions and new features must continue, therefore we would like to keep you updated with what is currently being implemented.

From now on the new update/patch can take us a bit more than 1 week.
Features in update 1.1.0
(that we are implementing or are implemented already):
 • Museum lvl. 3 (4 more slots, total 12)
 • Steam Workshop support part 1 (This is a bigger task, and will take us more than one or two patches to complete)
 • Controller support with control presets
 • Simple tank controls toggle (that allows to drive the tank forward/backward with one key press, instead of the step-wise system)
 • Further standarization of tanks (adding screws, checking the config is correct
 • More detailed engines (right now working on new engine for new tank, check screenshot below)
 • Shop cart

Tank Mechanic Simulator - Steam Workshop uploader .exe layout (can and will probably change)

The final patch notes will be available when the patch gets uploaded (estimated one or two weeks). The patch will be published first on the Unstable branch, to check if certain crashes are gone (including the sanding/painting crash) and the missing images bug.

Here's a bonus of new engine module for our new tank:
More detailed engine model getting implemented (work in progress)

Thanks and have a great week,
DeGenerals

Update 1.0.20 (Unstable)
Dear Mechanics,
we've uploaded next patch for the Unstable branch, version 1.0.20.

For few weeks the patch contents will be a bit smaller, we are in the process of designing new mechanics and expanding the team (mostly to hire new artists and get new tasks out faster :))

Please find attached change log below:
1.0.20
Added:
 • An option to open storage menu with a hot key (default O)
 • An option to open Tank analisys menu with a hot key (default P)
 • An option to drive the tank by pressing and holding the control keys, instead of step-wise controls (this can be enable in Settings/Game tab)
 • More parts of Panzer IIIJ can now be painted with decals

Tweaked:
 • Stug suspension height
 • Stug configuration and dependencies
 • Panzer IVG, M10 Wolverine, Panther and Sherman right track pins have correct assembly/disassembly direction
 • Panzer IIIJ suspension physics

Fixed:
 • Assembly menu won't have previous tank parts shown (the game will clear all generated part gui items, instead of only those lastly shown)
 • Parts bought from Shop will have correct state, when buying parts from different damage states
 • Sound that played when pointing at parts that had animations, but animation could not be played, now won't play at all (temp fix)
 • Stug dipstick is properly aligned

Thank you for all the bug reports, suggestions, reviews. Without your support this would not be possible.

Thanks for all the support and have a good day,
DeGenerals

Update 1.0.19 (Unstable)
Dear Mechanics,
we've uploaded next patch for the Unstable branch, version 1.0.19.
The version that was previously in the Unstable branch is now moved to default branch.

Please find attached change log below:
1.0.19
Added:
 • More parts of Stug, PZ IV G and M10 Wolverine can now be painted with decals
 • Pins to Panther tracks
 • Pins to M10 Wolverine tracks
 • Steam Cloud now synchronizes Saves, SavedFOG and SavedDecal folders

Tweaked:
 • Tank lifts are used always for tanks in workshop, and always on tanks that do not have tracks assembled (so the tank won't hover)
 • Painting depth is now increased fom 1 cm to 40cm (it was reduced from 1m to 1cm before, as player when painting the tank gun or sideskirts would also paint the tank part beaneath that part)
 • Stug test drive model has improved suspension and physics
 • Magnetometer humming sound is lower now (suggested)
 • Paint gun and sandblaster sound is now looped better
 • From now on the wheels of the tanks won't be covered in camo (suggested)

Fixed:
 • Save system now should work more stable.
 • Storage menu icons should not dissapear
 • Assembly menu scrollbar position should reset correctly (previously it could keep the last value, and the parts were not visible)
 • M10 Wolverine tank lift pivot is now correct
 • Flashlight will stay on when tools are switched
 • Moving tank with camouflage to test drive and back won't modify the camo state or scale
 • Panther road wheel arm dependencies
 • The storage menu cannot be closed when a tank is being loaded (after being selected in the drop down menu)
 • M26 Pershing cannon base now follows the cannon
 • Filling containers is now saved correctly (so fluid filled during a test drive is correctly loaded in workshop)
 • An option, where a part was blocked from being disassembled, and the part that was blocking would be moved to a turret or engine stand, will not block anymore
 • Russian translation has been again re-checked for machine translations and fixed

Thank you for all the bug reports, suggestions, reviews. Without your support this would not be possible.

Thanks for all the support and have a good day,

Update 1.0.18 (Unstable)
Dear Mechanics,
we've uploaded next patch for the Unstable branch, version 1.0.18.
The version that was previously in the Unstable branch is now moved to default branch.

The biggest change is the fix for memory management - we hope this will eliminate some crashes that still occur. We have another memory fix upcoming in next week.

Please find attached change log below:
1.0.18
Added:
 • Pins to Sherman M4A3E8 tracks
 • Save system (usable on warehouse scene)

Tweaked:
 • Standarized Sherman M4A3E8 tracks and wheels configuration and dependencies (the sprocket steel needs a fix to align with the track)

Fixed:
 • Major memory leak when switching between rooms on warehouse
 • Bug with missing crafting parts value for the storage menu
 • Tank is now correctly controlled according to the key settings (previously the controls ignored player settings)
 • Zoom limits for tank parts on turret stand
 • Sherman M4A3E8 missing dependencies for few parts
 • If a tank part is not loaded properly, it won't be forced into a missing state, but randomized damage.
 • Storage resets correctly the content of the menu, when player sells/recycles etc. tank parts
 • Stug driver hatches are now called gearbox hatches
 • Stug parts dependencies
 • Stug commander, periscope and gearbox hatch animations
 • Russian translation (mostly got rid of machine translated stuff)

Thank you for all the bug reports, suggestions, reviews. Without your support this would not be possible.

Thanks for all the support and have a good day,
