Demo: QoL Improvements & Audio Fixes

We’ve been refining the demo based on your feedback.

Here is what’s new in the latest build:[/p]
  • [p]We’ve added a new loot roll bar UI when opening chests.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the "audio cacophony" issues where sound effects would stack and distort. We also patched several audio-related memory leaks for better long-term stability.[/p]
  • [p]Lifedrain has been nerfed. It was too powerful, opsie 💀[/p]
  • [p]Picking up a Health Orb now triggers a clear animation above the player.

    Technical Fixes:[/p]
  • [p]Optimized the particle pooling system for better frame rates during intense combat.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where the "Completed" marker would disappear or fail to trigger after restarting the game.[/p]
  • [p]Resolved several behind-the-scenes compiler warnings for a more stable build.[/p]
  • [p]Added a loading progress bar when generating the world.

[p]DEMO OPTIMIZATION, ART, AND BURNING SCREEN BUG[/p][p]Based on your feedback, we've pushed an optimization update - sorry for the performance issues some of you experienced. It should run much better now. We're still working on squeezing out more frames and making the game even smoother.[/p][p]We've also updated several graphics to make the visuals more consistent across the board.[/p][p][/p][p]Additionally, we fixed the burning screen bug that occurred when dealing damage.[/p][p]Regardless of how you feel about the project, we appreciate you taking the time to check it out. We hope that despite everything, you had at least a bit of fun - and that this update makes it even more enjoyable :)[/p]

DEMO MAJOR PROGRESSION OVERHAUL

[p]Update: Balance Overhaul[/p][p]We've been watching influencer playthroughs and reading your feedback - and we've rebuilt a lot of core balance elements: XP gains, enemy count, stats, and more. We also unlocked 4 skill slots from the start and gave you a few spells to play with right away - so you can immediately see what sets us apart from Vampire Survivors and other games in the genre: build planning and maxing out synergies. On top of that, we reduced the number of level ups but made each one more impactful. The goal? Better flow from the very start.[/p][p]Also: minor UI improvements, including moving synergies to a visible spot - it's a key feature that was hiding under the spells panel. Active synergies now sit right below your active spells. More UI tweaks coming.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Give it a try and let us know how it feels now![/p]
