[p]Punch, Rest, Repeat is now live! 🥊[/p][p][/p][p]This project started as a small idea and grew step by step with the help of feedback, testing, and lots of passion. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who wishlisted, tested, shared feedback, or simply followed the journey.[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you so much for the support during development. Every wishlist, message, and kind word truly means a lot.[/p][p][/p][p]I’ll be actively monitoring feedback and working on improvements and fixes.[/p][p]If you enjoy the game, reviews and feedback are always appreciated and help a lot as a solo developer.[/p][p]Have fun, and enjoy the grind! 💪[/p]

Devlog #3 – Character Selection Update

[p]Hey everyone! đź‘‹
Today I want to share a quick look at one of the systems I’ve been working on recently: Character Selection.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Until now, the game was very single-boxer focused. But as the project grew, it became clear that players should be able to choose who they step into the ring with, not just visually, but in terms of identity and progression as well.[/p][p][/p]
🧍 What’s New?
[p]The new Character Selection screen allows you to:[/p]
 • [p]Choose your boxer before jumping into the game[/p]
 • [p]Set the foundation for future customization and unlockable characters[/p]
[p]The system is designed to be clean, fast, and expandable. Even though it looks simple on the surface, it’s already built to support:[/p]
 • [p]Multiple playable boxers[/p]
 • [p]Different progression paths[/p]
 • [p]Cosmetic and stat-based differences down the line[/p]
[p][/p]
🛠️ Under the Hood
[p]From a development perspective, this was an important milestone:[/p]
 • [p]Characters are now handled as data-driven entities[/p]
 • [p]The selected character persists cleanly into gameplay[/p]
 • [p]The system integrates smoothly with saving/loading and future content updates[/p][p][/p]
🥊 What’s Next?
[p]This update sets the stage for:[/p]
 • [p]Visual customization[/p]
 • [p]More personality per boxer[/p]
 • [p]Meaningful choices that affect how you play[/p]
[p][/p][p]As always, feedback is more than welcome. Thanks for following the journey, more updates coming soon! đź’Ş[/p][p][/p][p]Stay cozy & keep training,

Devlog #2 - Mid-Fest Update & Behind the Gloves!

[p]Hey everyone![/p][p]
We’re halfway through Steam Sports Fest, and it has already been an incredible week for Punch, Rest, Repeat! [/p][p][/p][p]First of all, a huge thank you to everyone who watched the new trailer, visited the store page, or added the game to their wishlist. The support means the world and gives us so much motivation to keep polishing the game.[/p][p][/p]
What’s New This Week?
[p]During the festival, we continued improving several core systems of the game. Here’s a small peek behind the gloves:[/p][p][/p]
• Dummy Bag Training Overhaul
[p]The training system now has real-time cooldown logic that works even while the game is closed.
You punch → you rest → your boxer grows. Simple, cozy, satisfying.[/p][p][/p]
• Challenge System Improvements
[p]Challenges now spawn dynamically based on real time.
And yes, the opponent who knocks on your door stays the same even after closing the game.
If Mike challenged you, you’ll still face Mike when you come back. 👀[/p][p][/p]
• New Combo Mini-Game
[p]We’ve been refining the combo challenge to be more fun and responsive.
You’ll see smoother timing, clearer feedback, and a better feeling of flow.[/p][p][/p]
• Background Autosave
[p]Progress is safely stored without you noticing, so your boxer’s growth is always preserved.[/p][p][/p]
What We’re Working on Next
[p]Here’s what’s currently on the bench:[/p]
 • [p]More polish for fight animations[/p]
 • [p]Better clarity for challenge indicators[/p]
 • [p]QoL improvements requested by wishlisters[/p]
[p]And of course, we’re steadily preparing for the game’s full release later this year.[/p][p][/p]
If you like this project, a wishlist helps more than you think!
[p][/p][p]Every wishlist pushes the game to more players during the Sports Fest and gives me valuable visibility as a solo indie game developer.[/p][p][/p][p]Wishlist Punch, Rest, Repeat here:
[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p][/p][p]Thank you again for all the love and support during Sports Fest.
We’ll be back with more updates soon, until then…[/p][p]Punch. Rest. Repeat. 🥊✨[/p]

This mode is optional, perfect for players who want a hands-off, cozy experience.[/p][p][/p]
âś” UI Polish Across the Board
[p]Menus, icons, transitions, energy bars, and multiple small components got a proper cleanup pass to make everything more consistent with the overall cozy theme.[/p][p][/p]
âś” More Upgradable Items
[p]New gym equipment has been added and made upgradeable with meaningful stat bonuses.
This should make training progression feel more rewarding.[/p][p][/p][carousel][/carousel][p][/p]
✔ Minor bugs cleaned up
[p]Lots of little things: flickers, layout issues, timing, text snap… gone.[/p][p][/p]
What I’m Working On Next
