Explaining how to progress in the game.

[p]Hello my friends,[/p][p][/p][p]made great progress lately :)[/p][p]The logic of the progress System is included.[/p][p]For explanation:[/p][p]While Abyssal Dominion is a RTS, you make progress like in an Action rpg. But instead of gearing up, [/p][p]you collect blueprints with different rarities during your matches.[/p][p]Here are some examples :)[/p][p]Every unit you play is collected in some way. This counts for your buildings, your units and also your heros :) maybe i will add special cards, that give you abilities and bonusses ... but i should start small first.[/p][p][/p][p]The demo will be very limited first. I will increase features and contents of the demo during the months. After this is done i will launch an early-acess version.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]

Faction/Deck manager is almost included, you will build your own faction !

[p]Okay i am back and making progress.[/p][p]Something i really wanted to implement since coding this game is the Deck-Builder which serves as[/p][p]a tool to build your very own faction. [/p][p]Usually during matches, enemy units have chance to drop cards of different units. These cards vary in[/p][p]terms of rarity. More uncommon card contain units with uncommon behaviour. This doesn't mean they [/p][p]are better in any case. While each unit-blueprint has a range of costs, Health- and attackpoints, the [/p][p]cards will contain procedural generated values that fit in these ranges. For example a ranged unit[/p][p]can have 120 health and cost 90 gold. Another one of the same model has 110 health and costs 92 gold.[/p][p]Usually rarer cards come with one big upside and a drawback.[/p][p][/p][p]How exactly i will implement this, is determant on how there mechanics alter the test-playthroughs.[/p][p]Hopefully i can give first insights during September.[/p][p][/p]

Resources are finally implemented!

[p][/p][p]Hello my friends :)[/p][p]I wish you a happy new year.[/p][p]At the moment i am working on the ressources. Every rts needs one.[/p][p]To be more specific: [/p][p]In Abyssal Dominion you choose a hero bound to one to three mana-ressources. Also there is gold,[/p][p]which serves as the ressource, each faction has in common. Apart from that, you build your own-[/p][p]faction based on 1-3 of the seven deadly sins. And each sins has its own way to produce mana.[/p][p]Fountains on the other way are the default way to produce mana, that is for each faction available [/p][p]at the start. But keep in mind: The first fountain produces 9 mana each tick. Each additional one, reduces[/p][p]the ammount of each individual fountain.[/p][p]Each faction has each unique way to gain more mana. Envy will be able to harvest corpses. Lust gets[/p][p]mana if their units get damage. Wrath gets mana if the units deal damage. Sloth gains mana for avoiding[/p][p]battles. Massive Battles and Hero-abilites.

[p]Hello :)[/p][p]Next to the classic rts-game-mode i am planning these gammodes:[/p]
  • [p]Battlemode: May have similarities with Battles in Total war. But the focus is more on interactive abilites and yeah boss- battles. Who said an Rts cant have boss battles ?[/p]
  • [p]Siegemode: Defend against growing waves while building your base.[/p]
  • [p]Raid: Raid villages in different realms and worlds ... each procedural generated ... in hope of great loot (that will be permanent and can be used in new raids)[/p]
[p]Apart from that ..... if the next Gamemodes are later implemented depends if you (the community) want them[/p]
  • [p]slave market-simulator (as a mini-game or a gamemode that resembles a tycoon simulation, can be linked with the Raid-mode)[/p]
  • [p]City builder (hey instead of building cities on earth for humans you build cities in hell for demons)[/p][p][/p]
[p]This week i need to make a short break from coding, because we need to visit some relatives. I will still use the time to draw some sprites ;)[/p][p]here are a few screenshots :)[/p][p]The second one shows the sourceress, Ophelia, using her Ice-shard ability ;)

  • [p]I implemented hero-units[/p]
  • [p]in the current gamemode you have your main-hero you need to protect[/p]
  • [p]if the hero dies game over[/p]
  • [p]Of course there will be more gamemodes and if you don't like the concept of focussing to protect one unit you can simply switch the gamemode[/p]
  • [p]At release multiple heros are planned, 2 heros are unlocked at the start, the other ones will be collected[/p]
