3DF Zephyr 4.300 out now!

Good news, everyone!

3DF Zephyr 4.300 is out now!

Faster processing - both the Structure from Motion and the Multiview stereo phases have been significantly improved: for the SfM phase, the bundle adjustment has been improved for dealing with very big datasets and the speedup is especially significant when using more than 500 photos during the orientation phase. As for the MvS phase, the depth map generation was the slower part of the pipeline and we have improved it a lot using novel techniques.

Better detail - Our multiview stereo routine has been improved in several parts and it can recover even more detail than before. Improvements have also been made in the photoconsistency algorithm, which can now deal better with thin structures.

Knife cut tool - You can now cut through mesh triangles using planes (or bounding box) for a much more beautiful results

Improved UI and new bounding box - Many tools have been reorganized for a much more efficient workflow and an even cleaner UI design - to top it off, 4.3 also features a new improved bounding box and gizmo.

Export self-hosted 3d model - Quickly embed your 3D model on your website using this HTML/JS exporter.

CUDA 10.0 - Zephyr has been upgraded to use the latest NVIDIA CUDA toolkit, 10.0. This allows supporting the most recent cards. Please note that with this improvement, the support to older cards (CUDA capabilities < 3.0) has been dropped. Make sure to update your drivers!

Please note that if you are using a very old NVIDIA card, you should still have better performance now even in CPU (when compared to very old nvidia cards). If you have any question on this matter, simply contact [email protected]

Win a DJI Spark Drone, 3DF Zephyr Licenses and much more! Announcing the 3Dflow World Cup 2018 contest!

We are happy to announce that registrations are now open for our upcoming 3Dflow World Cup 2018 contest!

This contest is a way for us to celebrate the recent 3DF Zephyr 4.0 release : everyone can play (no purchase required) and we have some cool prizes, too!

The grand prize is a DJI Spark drone and a full year of 3DF Zephyr Aerial, while the runner up will win a Manfrotto tripod and 12 months of 3DF Zephyr Pro. The 3rd place and 4th place will instead win a 50 USD Amazon gift card and 3 months of 3DF Zephyr Pro.

All winners will also get a Sketchfab subscription: they are sponsoring this contest with a 6 months Sketchfab Pro subscription (1st place) while 2nd to 4th place will win a 3 months Sketchfab Pro subscription!

Sounds good? Head over to https://worldcup.3dflow.net to read the full rules and to sign up! Registrations are open until July, 30th, 2018!

3DF Zephyr 4 is finally out!

Good news, everyone!

We are happy to announce the release of 3DF Zephyr 4.0 !

Like the previous 2.0 to 3.0 free upgrade, we are super happy to give a free upgrade to the Steam Edition also to 4.0! Enjoy all 4.x releases on Steam too!

What's new? We're glad you asked!

Faster processing – the full pipeline has been improved a lot, and processing times have been improved significantly during the Structure from Motion, Multiview Stereo and Meshing phases – all of this with even an improved accuracy.

Improved tools – many small fixes and improvements have been integrated with this update, which includes better selection tools, better gizmo, a quick project wizard and much more are awaiting you in the user friendly interface you all know and love!

Camera calibration manager – often on the go? Use this handy tool do pre-download camera calibrations from our server by simply uploading a JPG and store it offline for later use.

Preset manager – you can now easily share and download presets directly from Zephyr in a user friendly. Simply insert the preset ID and let zephyr download it from our server.

Quad support for OBJ and FBX formats – you can now feed zephyr quads when re-importing a mesh for re-texturing.

This update also includes an improved 32 bit texture workflow, a new mesh uberdensification with/without high frequency gain, and much more, including a the new full German language support!

Do you like to tinker with SDKs? We have also released a FREE edition of our SDK (C++, for GNU/Linux and Microsoft Windows) that you can use for non commercial applications: check it out over http://www.3dflowengine.com

This updates also adds Discord support: if you are running the Discord app, you will share your current status in 3DF Zephyr (you can disable this in the application options if you wish). Do you like Discord? Hop on our channel at http://discord.3dflow.net

As usual, let us know your feedback :)

3DF Zephyr 3.700 out now!

Good news, everyone!

3DF Zephyr 3.700 is now live on Steam!

The first, long awaited change you'll notice, is the support of multi textures in both output (you can generate textured models with more than one texture, finally!) as well as in input: you can re-import meshes with custom UVs in multiple textures. Hurrah!

Many of the new core technology improvements include: SfM speed in bigger dataset, a new texturing algorithm which can also use photconsistency information and automatic blurriness filtering, MvS optimization and much more.

Many tools have been revamped and improved: 3DF Masquerade now offers a turntable-specific optimization, the quality index tool have been improved a lot, the selection now consider backface culling, and much much more!
