This is quite an important update! This update marks the first time in a couple of years that alpha and default (no branch selected) are on the same version. Moving forward, alpha updates will have release candidates pushed to default more frequently, as you'd expect from an alpha branch.
The Gradient Update - 24.7.1 [alpha branch]

Level created by TheVoidUnknown!
Using the new gradient effects!
Patch notes:
24.6.1 [alpha branch]
New features:
• Gradients have been added as an option in the level editor. (Radial / Linear)
• Gradients can be color to color or color to transparent. To make a gradient color to transparent, set the second color to match the first.
• Now the intro sequence shows in the editor to better represent how the level will look in game.
• The debug controller now can load directly between levels.
• Some minor stuff I likely forgot.
Improvements:
• Now all levels have a post level screen. Including story mode levels.
• Massive improvements in scene loading. (This should help with the game's performance on lower end hardware a bit.)
• Scene loading now has a more fitting loading screen.
• All story levels now have album art and descriptions.
• UI cursor properly resizes now to match screen.
• Editor now technically supports any resolution and the preview view is much more consistent. (If the screen size is weird, you might find there's a little distortion in the preview view though.)
• The loading screen now never has it's effects randomly taken away.
• Better error handling in the editor when loading bad levels.
• Now, if a dialogue is in autoplay mode, it will not show the continue cursor.
• Now all timeline generated sounds will be automatically mapped to the SFX player making them the correct volume.
• Better outliner rendering in the editor.
• Better player hit noise.
• Better overall performance due to less camera usage.
• Lots of small UI/UX improvements.
Changes and bug fixes:
• The player no longer twitches at higher framerates, the player should look much smoother as you're just moving around now.
• Fixed issues with startup being loud.
• Themes now work far better in the editor.
• End level screen title now should no longer go out of bounds.
• Parallax objects are now properly reset so they don't accidentally carry over between levels and mess up foreground objects.
• Parallax objects now properly all go away on swapping levels.
• Fix some issues with Story Mode getting it's order jumbled or stuck.

I tried to get it out for y'all before the weekend, but cause this will be a candidate for default build I wanted a bit more time to catch bugs. Thank you for your patience!
