We thought we were finished with updates for X3: Farnham's Legacy, but our community volunteers had other plans! As well as translations into several additional languages, we are also pleased to bring you a number of fixes for some of the those annoying little problems that you have reported since 1.2 was released a few months ago. As previously announced, we have now finished selling the X3: Farnham's Legacy Donation Pack. The donation pack gave you the opportunity to express your gratitude to our team of highly motivated community members, who spent the last five years or so working on X3: Farnham's Legacy. The game was released in May 2021, and we have received lots of great feedback from you - thank you for that!

Just to give you an idea of what you have achieved with the donation pack, we can tell you that we've rounded up the total donation sum to 5,000 euros for Médecins sans frontières / Doctors Without Borders. We've also decided to donate an additional 5,000 euros, not taken from the donation pack, to "Aachen hilft", which is a regional campaign to help those affected by the recent flood disaster here in Germany. We thank you for your support, and we are pleased that we were able to pass on a nice sum of money to some good causes.

X3: Farnham's Legacy itself will, of course, remain available, both in its original Windows version and also now as a native Linux version. We are happy to see every download, and hope you have a lot of fun during your time in the extended X3 universe, whether you are new to the series or a veteran X gamer!

Fixed missing voices in Linux version if neither X3: Terran Conflict nor X3: Albion Prelude are installed.

When X3: Farnham's Legacy was released at the beginning of April 2021, we were only able to offer you a Windows version of the game. We are now delivering the eagerly awaited Linux version!

We've also taken this opportunity to make some technical adjustments to X3: Terran Conflict and X3: Albion Prelude as part of the X3: Terran War Pack, to improve their installation on Windows systems and compatibility with Linux environments.

Today we have released another update for X3: Farnham's Legacy. Developed by a dedicated community team, the 1.2 update is now available for download. It comes with numerous improvements and bug fixes; you can find the complete list of changes on our forum.

Since the release of X3: Farnham's Legacy, a month and a half ago, Egosoft and the project team have received lots of positive feedback about the game, for which we are very grateful.

We would like to thank everyone who has purchased the X3: Farnham's Legacy Donation Pack. As previously announced, we are donating the proceeds from this Donation Pack to Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders. This week Egosoft has rounded up the accumulated total and has donated the sum of 2,500 euros.

The X3: Farnham's Legacy Donation Pack will remain available to purchase until August 31st, 2021, allowing you to thank the project team for their work and to do a good deed at the same time. The 1.2 update concludes our development work on this free community project, though we do still intend to find time to create a Linux build of the game in the not too distant future. Don’t forget that X3: Farnham's Legacy opens up many new avenues for potential modding projects, and we look forward to seeing what you come up with!
